I visited Goddess Aesthetics for the first time yesterday because my hair stylist Leah Frankson…read morerecently started working there. It has a dedicated hair salon area there, which you wouldn't know from the name of the business, but hopefully the word will get out soon. Leah is an artist, and deserves recognition in Hawaii. I have followed Leah from her first salon in Kapahulu, to her transfer to a Kailua salon, and finally, to Goddess Aesthetics. I live in East Honolulu, so it is quite the drive across the Pali Hwy, especially with traffic, to have my hair cut. I've done this for the past couple of years because she is worth it. She is the only stylist I've found on Oahu who consistently gives me natural root touch ups (my hair is an Asian brown-black) and beautiful layered haircuts that suit my face shape. I had despaired of finding a hairstylist I could trust, after living in NYC for two decades. I had less than ideal cut&colors in different salons on the island until I found Leah. After my first visit, I knew she was it. It was a relief to find her, and I will follow her wherever she roams on this island. Please don't ever leave Hawaii, Leah!

I came in for a facial, already telling myself, "You're not gonna relax, you never do." Yeah, well... joke's on me, because five minutes in and I was practically melting into the table. Angela has this calm, soothing voice that could probably convince a tornado to chill out. She was so patient and thoughtful and really took her time to look at my skin, asked questions, and explained what she was doing in a way that didn't sound like a skincare lecture. She even gave me personalized tips and product recs that made sense for MY skin (and not like those "just buy this $300 serum" kind of suggestions). And let me tell you... when I looked in the mirror afterward ... WOW!! My skin was glowing. Like, actually glowing. Soft, hydrated, smooth! I legit caught myself touching my face all day and even in the days after. I haven't seen my skin look this good in forever. Angela's the real deal!! She's patient, knowledgeable, and seriously good at what she does. If you've ever wanted a facial that leaves you looking and feeling like you've been on vacation (minus the plane ticket), book it. Just do it. You'll walk out wondering how your face ever survived without her.

I haven't gone to this location yet, but I plan to do so in the past. Not sure if her prices are still the same from back when she was mobile, but she has always had the best bang for your buck.

Before she started we had a little consultation about my skin and my concerns, which she addressed with my treatment plan . My facial included a steam treatment and one of those cool specialty targeted gel masked that covered my entire face except for my nostrils. Then she added a light therapy treatment. It was so relaxing I almost fell asleep lol. It left my face feeling unbelievably smooth and bounce! I've had facials before but I've never had my face feel so soft after a facial before. I definitely need to add this to my self care routine. -My eyelash extensions though... Natalie is truly an artist when it comes to eyelash extensions. I don't know how she does it, but she makes them so full and fluffy. I don't know how to discribe it, except that it has texture. I've added a pic lol. Also, her retention is great! The glue she uses does not hurt my eyes. With other artist I would usually be sensitive to the glue for a few hours after but when I get my lashes done by Natalie I have no issues. Also, she's gentle and she doesn't have heavy or sweaty hands and she doesn't smoke. She also works ambidextrously when lashing... talk about dedication to consistency and perfection. P.S. She works out of an actual salon that's clean and has lots of free parking. Natalie is also certified and she has her esthetician license!!! Ladies, be sure to make sure your lash artist has their esthetician license because it's extremely important for the health and safety of your eyes.. and it's the law! -I'm so happy and grateful to have found such an awesome esthetician!!

You will also get reminders on when your appointment is coming up. I had to reschedule a couple of times but Arisa was very patient with me and accommodated my schedule. I originally scheduled a microdermabrasion facial but I saw that she offered lash perm as well so I decided to book both for the same day. On the day of my appointment, Arisa greeted me with a warm welcome and explained very thoroughly the process to me about my spa treatments. After doing so, she gave me a few minutes to change and kindly knocked to check if I was ready for my facial. The facial experience was magical! Keep in mind, she did explain what products she was using along the way but I was so relaxed by the tranquil music and lovely aroma in the room, I forgot entirely what she used on my face. All you have to know is the VIBE was EVERYTHING! During the experience, she also does massages as well. This cute little human being has the smallest hands but her massages are AMAZING. After the facial, she also did my lash perm and they came out fire! I don't want to say too much on here because you're going to have to find out yourself after you book with Arisa. I'm definitely coming back but I spent a little too much money this month but I'll see you very soon Arisa. It's been an honor and I am looking forward to my next appointment!
