Called for an appt and they were able to get two of us in for both mani/pedi within 30minutes.located in a strip mall. Entrance is a bit challenging to see from the parking lot. Super friendly staff and appreciate that they had enough staff to do both mani and pedi at the same time which saved us a lot of time. Nails were painted horribly. My nail tech went back in with an efile and tried to file the flooded nail polish and chipped the nail. I was waiting to see if she was going to fix it, but NOPE. She told me I was done and told her but my nail polish is chipped? My toe nails are also filed crooked. Coming from a nail tech myself, I was very disappointed. I always have had Cindy & her skills, customer service & friendly demeanor has always lead to the shops cool vibe. I came back to Hawaii for an extended stay and my sister hooked me up! They are funny, creative and do an amazing job. My right big toe has an annoying in grown and usually, the nail tech abuses me lol, but not here. They did such a great job on my pedicure. I just get the Basic Pedi, and I was amazed. I have been getting pedicures for ages and NO ONE has gotten that in grown like her! She did a spectacular job cleaning my nails and painting them. Rachel and Amy do the damn thang! My nails look gorgeous and always get compliments on them. They are tucked away in the Windward City Shopping Center and are worth the drive for me from the North Shore. I am definitely returning to Sparkle Nails. This was my first experience at this salon. I wanted to treat my 5 year old daughter on her last day of school. I wanted a simple gel polish with some nail art. My daughter wanted a simple manicure with some nail art. My daughter had Nancy and I had Cindy. Both ladies were fantastic. All the staff were so kind, professional and patient with me and my daughter. Cindy claims she rarely does nail art, but she did exactly what I asked for. She carefully filed and shaped my nails, not like most salons who rush the shape. I showed her a picture and she executed beautifully. I am glad I opted for gel because it turned out looking fun and natural. I was able to schedule an appointment a few hours before. They accept walk-ins. I am glad I made an appointment because they quickly became busy shortly after I arrived at 3:30pm. The prices are affordable for the great service. My gel polish and nail art was $50 and my daughter's was $15. I plan to get more nail art and a pedicure next time! read more

The ladies working here are quiet and polite. .. not like some other places where they are on their cell phones during your session or talking with each other across the room. Here, they do a thorough job and I don't feel like they're rushing through the process. The reason why I drove across town to this shop was because of the Loyalty Card. Okay so the salon is no frills, but what it lacks in fancy interiors it makes up for in the quality of the work! AMY is my go-to for gel nails that DON'T lift at the cuticle over time the way most do (BTW don't you hate it when your lifted gels make it impossible to run your fingers through your hair or wash it without the gels snagging strands)?!? She takes her time to do quality work, and when she does the manicure and takes care of my cuticles I don't get the usual hangnails I do when I get my nails done elsewhere, even the pricier or more prestigious looking salons. She shines in her design work, and she also loves to do it. I can literally show her any nail design I find on Instagram and she NAILS it (pun intended) every time. I've had her do a marble table pattern, leopard spots, minimalist gold lines, and a botanical garden design and they've all come out looking just like the photo, or even better! As for the pedicures, their callous treatment pedi can't be beat! I hike a ton and wear heels or slippers (not hiking obviously, ) and my feet take a beating. They don't simply scrub at your callouses, they literally safely shave them away with a special tool, one that looks like a blade type and another that resembles a cheese grater. AND IT WORKS because my feet are baby booty soft after. Plus, they have massage chairs which are a plus when I come in all sore from a workout. Lastly, she doesn't overcharge, I find the pricing super reasonable. Amy is the hardest worker in the room, always the last one to leave (I should know because I usually come late) and always with a smile on her face. Mahalo Amy! read more

I pulled out my phone checked yelp and this place had good reviews,so in I went. They were so happy to help me and even suggested that I do a gel manicure. I was a little skeptical because normally ( on the main land) you don't have to ask for a manicure with a gel manicure but the other place I visited here didn't do that. Well, sparkle nails does it all and for 55 dollars I got a gel manicure and a pedicure! I was very pleased with the work. The ladies did a great job! The only down fall was there were a lot of nats and usually those are around when something is not the cleanest. However everything looked clean. I was really really happy with the prices too! I love this salon, but do come here for a dip powder manicure. The dip isn't even covering my entire fingers, they dipped like 12 times so it's super thick in some spots but yet somehow translucent in others, and it looks super grainy. When I complained, they were very kind and comped it for me which I did appreciate. The ladies here are always very sweet, so I felt terrible about complaining. I also got a gel pedicure which as always looks amazing. I am just posting this so others know what to expect when it comes to dip powder here. I'm not one to get my nails done because I'm the worst when it comes to upkeep but my mother-in-law suggested that we have a girls spa date so I agreed. Amy, the owner, was quite accommodating as well considering that the appointment was originally for one on a Saturday but was quickly changed to two with Cindy (sp?) assisting Amy. Both my MIL and I got gel manicures as well as pedicures and it was quite the experience. Amy is quite the artist and has a wide range of designs available to browse for future nailspiration, but she can also design things on the fly as was the case with me when I had requested a pineapple. She not only took great care of my nails but also made them look beautiful considering that we had to use fake nails to accommodate my short and stubby ones (remember, I'm not good with these kinds of things). By the end of my manicure, my nails were looking so good even Khaleesi would've approved. My MIL and I then switched because while I was getting my manicure done by Amy, Cindy had been doing a pedicure for my MIL. Cindy was just as attentive as Amy and boy can she give a good leg massage. By the end, my feet were so smooth and soft you could've mistaken it for a baby's bottom. Overall, while I don't know much about nails, I enjoyed my experiences with Amy and Cindy and wouldn't mind getting mani pedis in the future. It's also a small and quaint little shop, so you don't feel as though you're rushed so that they can get to the next customer. I can't wait for my next visit! read more

5 stars for the incredibly sweet staff! Because of them, I will be back! The work wasn't perfect (had to make it 4 stars) but I also blame my deep nail beds for the way my gel manicure looked. I got home and started clipping the polish that went over onto my skin but I'm also very unpicky and don't need perfection (the picture is after I worked on them for a bit.
