Great experience! Husband and I came in for manicures and pedicures and were really impressed. The salon was very clean, the staff were kind and attentive, and they did a phenomenal job. So SO relaxing and the results look amazing. We will definitely be coming back. Oh and the massage chairs? Added bonus for sure! Update ** Removing a star because my polish chipped that next day and my toe is missing one whole nail of polish already- no crazy tasks or even dishwashing happened. Highly recommend you go home and add a top coat- not feeling like thers is effective. read more

We've been going to this salon for years, but their service has gone down in quality recently. Over the past few visits, despite making an appointment we have to wait 10-15 minutes. Sometimes we've gone and two of us can be seated and the last person in our party doesn't get started until 30 minutes after. Really frustrating. I got a gel pedicure and it was 10/10! The staff were awesome! My nail tech was the sweetest! What I loved about this place is that they make sure the color you choose looks good and then, they proceed. The foot/calf massage was delightful and the massage chair was the cherry on top! This is a no frills nail salon, but they do an amazing job! Honestly one of the best manicure and pedicure experiences I've had in a long time. Rina and Hanna were so sweet and very thorough. They both took their time--we have all been to places where they rush through the service for the next customer especially if you're only getting regular polish. Pricing changes depending on the day. Made me switch to texting for service instead of calling the salon, then the tech started straight up ghosting me or ignoring me whenever I'd reach out. When I expressed frustration about waiting 40 minutes for my appointment while she helped another customer, she stopped replying to me all together :/ This shop is awful! read more

I know this place already has high stars but this place really set the bar high for nail service! I've gotten my nails done a lot in my 38 years and this is hands down the best experience I've ever received! Quality and price were amazing! Our 2 technicians were very good and super nice. Michelle, who I think is the owner, seems a bit of a soup nazi. The staff seems a bit reserved, like they're expecting to get admonished. They still did great job, but IMO the ambiance could use improvement. Even if it's just the stress level of staff being lessened. Still recommend for quality - 100%. read more

I like coming here because they generally take same day appointments. They do sometimes make you wait an additional 30 minutes with an appointment, which is the only negative I have. I typically come during a work break so waiting the extra minutes does cut into my time. Always make an appointment though because I've seen people try to walk in and they get sent out having to come back hours later. They have done some incredible work placing some acrylic tips on my toe nails when I had a few nails fall off due to some sporting activities, but they made it look like a natural looking nail! I get the basic gel pedicure and it takes about an hour to an hour and a half including the ten minute massage. They take card and cash, but prefer cash tips! There is an option to tip on card too. Anyway, consider this tiny shop if you are in Kailua! read more

Cute little nail salon nestled next to Frost Froyo store in Kailua. I definitely recommend calling ahead for an appointment as the location is very small. Six pedicure chairs and four nail desks, I believe. The technicians are great at their art and I love that for your pedicures, they paint your nails first, massage last, leaving you feeling refreshed and relaxed. read more

MIL and I went for 2 pedis and both were absolutely perfect! Best leg massage, much better than my fave salon in NJ unfortunately :( Will return. Prices also super reasonable, at this time they offer $30 basic, $40 spa (with great massage!) and $50 deluxe which I'm not sure what they do to make it better bc the other 2 are quite enjoyable! My bestie & I decided to get manicures this past weekend and she suggested this salon near her home. They are located across from the Zippy's and have a small lot of parking that fills up quickly. I arrived about 10 minutes early and was able to snag parking no problem. When we arrived, we were quickly seated. I opted for an acrylic set and showed the nail tech the design I wanted, she told me to pick my colors and then started on my hands. Honestly, this is the best experience I've had with acrylic nails. In my past experiences (it's been a couple years), my nails always felt bruised and it took forever. This time I didn't feel sore at all and it was fast! Start to finish, the whole process took only an hour. Not only did she do a great job, but I accident bumped my hand putting it under the lamp and she fixed it in a few seconds and I can't even tell where I hit. What a wonderful surprise and a special treat on my holiday with the in-laws. Came to Shine on the family's recommendation since I had failed to get a pedicure on the mainland before my trip. Shine was busy busy busy right at 9 am but they are like a well oiled machine. Everyone got to work, no one was left waiting, I was not sitting in water like you sometimes do when making apts. The nail tech that worked on me did an ahmazing job! I wish I would have gotten her name. She took her time, was crazy meticulous, and massaged every stress right out of me all in just under an hour. I will definitely come here again! My pedicure was very reasonable. $40 for the "mid" pedi which is just like the mainland. I opted for regular polish but you can add in shellac for another $20. I tipped in cash like the signs in the shop requested. I just wish Shine was here in my hometown. I haven't had a pedicure like that since 2019! Thank you Shine! read more

I have been going here for sometime now. Just been putting up with there poor customer service. None of the worker here are happy. They all don't like what they do. Lynn changed her appointments to texting only. Thats not working well for her. Takes days to get back to you. So I scheduled an appointment with Hana. My appointment was at 5pm and at 6pm I am still sitting there waiting. No one told me anything like "I am running late!" "Wanna come back in a hour? " Wanna reschedule?" So when its finally My turn, I tell her why wouldn't you explain to your customer that has been waiting an hour anything? She than gets upset with me " what?" Being very aggressive with My nails burning me several times. Poor poor poor customer service. I will be sure to tell my family and friends about my experience there and direct them else where. read more

BEST NAIL SALON IN HAWAII!!! went here with some friends for a dip manicure and it seriously was the best experience i've ever had. I wanted a pretty challenging design and I was put with Lynn, and she did not disappoint!! I gave her a picture for reference and she seriously did a better job then Pinterest. I called for an appointment and fortunately was able to get an appointment on the same day. This was the first time for me at this salon. Great service from Michelle from start to finish. I don't care for too many layers of polish and without me saying anything, she did it just right. Everyone was very friendly even they were all very busy taking care of their customers. Tracy gave me the best dip manicure ever. She took her time to be sure it was perfect. I was impressed by the fact that as she applied the last coat to my nails she saw something that displeased her. She filed down the imperfect nail and redid the dip and polish. I left with satin smooth nails. Be sure to make an appointment. This busy salon provides service at a reasonable price. I watched as other technicians did pedicures and will definitely do that on my next visit. They did not rush through the process like some salons. read more

not only is this the best place in Kailua to get your nails done, it's the best place I've been anywhere. The ladies here are so sweet and care about their craft. They are very talented! My nails always look 100%, and they look great for weeks with just regular polish (I do t do gel or dips anymore) I do a "deluxe pedicure" which involves a very long relaxing massage, scrub and hot oil/wax -- they are generous with their effort to make sure you feel great. They are all meticulous to ensure your nails are on-point. I usually bring my own nail polish color (I'm picky) and my toes are perfect every time I visit. read more

My nails looked like a war zone but bless her heart, Kim worked miracles and took her time perfecting every detail. I never felt rushed and I didn't feel the pressure to get gel or upgrade on any services. Kim's massages were also to die for and I didn't want to leave. I'm so happy I found this cute little spot around the corner from my house. I'll be back! Also, the prices were more than reasonable especially given the quality of service. read more

Seriously the best nail salon on the Windward side of Oahu. They are so kind and always find time in their busy schedule to fit me in. Their techs do great work and my nails always last a very long time (and I am rough on nails). I appreciate the way they have adapted to these Covid times. I would not recommend getting a pedicure here. I got the sense that the person doing my pedicure was new and may have limited experience. After getting the upgraded spa pedicure my feet still have many dry calloused areas. The worst part is she cut my nails very rounded - which is how ingrown toenail's nails occur. The big toe nail should always be cut straight across. I now have to worry about in grown toe nails occurring. I did not enjoy the experience or atmosphere here. read more

Now for the service, it was good, my massage felt nice & relaxing, the results came out nice, but everyone & their mama is saying it only lasts for a week.. so we shall see. Little disappointed because I didn't get the mask for my deluxe pedicure... I guess the biggest downfall is the customer service. I just felt uncomfortable how my nail tech, and the one beside him were speaking in Vietnamese, snickering, & laughing. We all have that thought that comes to our mind if people are talking shit or not, but it really is peoples' body language, demeanor, and vibe they give off, which makes me feel this way. I know they are aware of this. Now, don't come for me saying I'm a racist haole, Karen, from "Krylua." I'm actually hapa, asian / white / Hispanic, & my mom is an immigrant from Okinawa. I can speak Japanese and I think it's beautiful to embrace your culture & language. That is NOT the issue. It's giving that negative aura & attitude that comes across as they're being disrespectful / are probably taking behind your back or actually in front of you. I didn't like the way that I felt, so unfortunately, this nail salon will be a pass for me, and I won't be coming back.. which is a shame because I would've been a good customer & I tip good.

Since this was decided overnight we didn't give them any warning. But they took it in stride. There were three customers there when 5 of us arrived between 9-9:30. There were four girlies getting pedicures, one set of acrylic nails and one gel manicure. We all walked out the door around 11:30am. I think this is spectacular timing which included a few other customers entering for services who weren't turned away and thrown right into the rotation. Personally I got my gel off and regular nail polish on my nails. A week later and they are still looking good. No chips! Everything I encountered was clean and sanitary. They also lent us a cart so we could set out some breakfast treats for our little party. I recommend this gem of a business and maybe we will give them a heads up next time!

Called ahead to make sure I could get a pedicure since most salons are busy just before the holiday! Got there at the appointed time and was taken immediately- basic pedicure is all I had time for got in and out in 40 min. Great job on cutting my nails - cleaning and file down the nails. A quick and efficient job. Will be back to try their other services
