Amazing coffee, amazing breakfast and amazing service! I felt welcomed by the staff. I went there two days and got coffee and a small bite to eat. The coffee was the highlight. We love the sippery and are frequent customers. However after today's visit we are disappointed. The food menu or preparation has seemed to majorly change. The sandwiches were not anywhere near the quality we have grown to love. They were brought out cold and pre packaged not freshly made. The dressing on the side for us to prepare ourselves. They didn't taste anything like they normally do they were not very good sadly. The drinks were still good. The service was not typical either the ladies were cold and curt and seemed put off when we asked for a box. So bummed as we love this place normally. Not sure we will be back. read more

I was staying at Western Oregon University for a conference and let's say the coffee on campus was not what I'm used to. The Sippery was less than a 10 minute walk. Super friendly staff. I stopped in several times for an oat milk latte and bagel. They also have the cutest little laser cut coffee stoppers for your cup. The space has a variety of seating options. read more

I come to the Sippery very often after and in between classes. I have always really appreciated the service. Baristas know your name upon entering and you can get high quality coffee. Not to mention their selection of food and a personal favorite, Lotus. I also like the new bathroom remodel- taking a once 3 star to now a 4 star establishment. A few things of note that keep it from being a 5- The house flies are getting out of hand. Once the cooks bring me my food the flies do not waste a second before landing on the plate. They also constantly land on customers heads, leaving them to swipe at themselves humiliatingly. Flies are a natural occurrence, but consider investing in some fly traps please. Lastly, is the staining smell The Sippery leaves on its costumers. It does not matter if I was in The Sippery for five minutes or 2 hours, you WILL smell like burnt oil the rest of the day. The smell works itself not only into your clothes and hair, but the essence of your being. There have been times I have wanted a coffee, but simply could not muster the courage to smell like the oil for the rest of the day and had to go to Starbucks (a vastly worse cup of coffee and quality compared to the Sippery). I know not to come to the Sippery on hair wash day, otherwise I would come probably every day. In Review: Coffee and various other drinks are always a 5/5 Staff are a 6/5 Ambiance is 4/5 (flies) But the smell is keeping this place from being a 5 star establishment. read more

This place has one of the best chai tea lattes in the area! I also enjoy the bagel sandwiches but they aren't super consistent--the last time I went the bagel was too salty and the entire sandwich fell apart as I was eating it. They also changed their menu a year or so ago and took away my favorite vegetarian hummus pita sandwich:( Nonetheless, I keep going back because it's just different enough and the ingredients always taste fresh! read more

The sippery is a delightful little addition to Monmouth! The coffee was very tasty and not too bitter. I'm a barista, so my standards are high! I tried their Mt bach special, a mocha with marshmallow. It was super delicious without being too sweet. The guy at the counte said he'd only been on bar by himself for about a week, but he did a great job! The drink was an excellent temp and not too foamy. I also picked up a drink for my friend, a honey vanilla latte with cinnamon and she was also super impressed. The aesthetic of the shop is also to die for, it's so stinking cute!!!! Great food and good ambiance ruined by very poor, borderline rude service. We went at 11 a.m. when there were only a handful of customers - certainly not an overwhelming number for 3 employees. The 3 young women behind the counter spent a long time talking to the young man who ordered ahead of us. Nothing wrong with that - except that they clearly weren't finding time to keep the restaurant or bathroom clean (where a large trash can was overflowing). We sat at an outdoor table that was filthy, and had to remind the woman who brought out our food to wipe it off before she set down our plates. She had to go back in to get a bar cloth. Even then she didn't get the whole thing clean, and was less than gracious when we pointed out the spot of goop still on it. In the meantime I realized they had brought out our food but not our drinks, which they apparently expected us to go in and get ourselves. One of the 3 drinks was wrong and had to be re-made. A bite or two into our sandwiches, we realized 2 of the 3 sandwiches were wrong. At that point we didn't want to wait for those to be re-made, but I went in to the restaurant to tell them about the mistake and that we were really not having a great experience. One of the employees did come out later to apologize and offer to refund our meal (which I declined, but did request my $5 tip be refunded) - but also to tell me repeatedly how hard they all worked, and take me to task for complaining in front of other customers. I can't think of the last time I complained about service in a restaurant (and I've worked in restaurants, so I get it) - but really, those young women can do better. read more

Not typically my type of place (I'm a guy, in my 30's and pretty conservative) but I appreciate excellence, and The Sippery is excellent. The coffee is great, the service has always been great, and most of all, the bagel sandwiches are a legitimate 10/10. I was astounded at how good they were. The bagels are perfectly toasted, the veggies are always fresh and carefully assembled and the meat is great. Whoever is making them is clearly doing their best every time, and this is not common anymore. My wife and I have been in a few times now and the quality is absolutely consistent. read more

Great local place to grab coffee and/or lunch. Friendly service. It's a bit loud, because the noise carries inside in the cafe; music is a bit loud to have a conversation if you're sitting outside on a table right underneath the speakers.
