Will return. Given the habit or culture of buy buy buy, it's a bit of a surprise that I even find a repair shop, let alone one for shoes. A time capsule comedy club with quick repair. Unknowingly, I asked how long they have been open. The blue coat young man replied with a twinkle in his eyes, "Since 10 o'clock this morning." Ok, he has me: four generations in the running. A gent who's waiting for his sneakers chided, "and they make spaghetti on the side." LOL How long does it take to change my heel caps? "Two weeks," The blue coat said, and winked. "Oh", I said. "Two hours." He said. "Ok, I'll come back then." "Two minutes," he said. He inquired where we're from. When he heard Beijing, he blurted out fang pi and shagua, which mean 'break wind' and 'dumb kopf'. Chinese is easy to learn. Cash only. Thanks for extending the life of my beloved shoes. read more

wish I could leave no stars... shoe repair NIGHTMARE. Ruining shoes and Jeff, (the owner) was very unprofessional read more

What a great place! I took a pair of my Birkenstocks in to see if they could fix a buckle that broke off. Without hesitation, they gave me options and fixed my shoe on the spot. I highly recommend and will return for any shoe or purse repair needed in the future. Thank you so much for your attentiveness, skill and professionalism. read more

MY SHOES ARE RUINED. DO NOT COME HERE. I am sobbing after leaving. I brought my Pierre Cardin heels in for a heel tip replacement (super easy fix) and I'm leaving with them more beaten up and torn than ever before. The leather is chipped away and peeling all over the heel which wasn't how I brought them in. These were tossed around carelessly and stacked under other shoes it's obvious. I AM FURIOUS AND DEEPLY UPSET. I brought up the issues and the owner Jeff told me to get out. I cannot believe this! read more

HORRIBLE experience. my shoes ended up ruined but what's worse is the way the owner handled it and took no accountability. do not trust this business with your money or your shoes. super super disappointed and offended by the way i was treated. read more

If you expect good customer service don't come here. Owner is extremely rude, after a shoe repair went wrong and ruined my shoes I was treated terribly and kicked out. read more

I had mixed feelings about coming to this place because of the reviews but I decided to give it a shot... let's just say "impeccable craftsmanship" is actually defective....not only defective but DAMAGING. I can't express how extremely special these heels are to me.....and they will never be the same again all because of a careless, rude and unprofessional owner. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHEREEEE else. read more

The experience was awesome! Remember the old country store where everyone was on a first name basis? It is like stepping back in time, but receiving special personalized service. The owner, Jeff, is very caring and wants to improve your ability to be more comfortable in whatever shoes you wear. He was not pushy in SELLING a pair or shoes to fix my issue, but rather provided options. In the end, he found one leg to be shorter than the other, hand crafted inserts to meet the needs of both feet, and improve my gait! How awesome is that! And what is even more awesome is he provided additional inserts so that i could use my other sneakers and even sandals and did not have to purchase another pair of shoes!!! So, in the short of it, in the future, my first stop for shoe or leather repair or purchase of a new pair of shoes (they have all styles), will be The Shoe Lab! read more

I went to The Shoe Lab for the first time yesterday. I was greeted within seconds of walking through the door. When asked what I needed, I explained that the strap to one of my favorite handbags had snapped at the end, and I just needed a few stitches on the sewing machine. My handbag was immediately whisked away with the comment, "Let me see if he can do it for you right now." Within minutes, my handbag was returned to me looking as good as new. In addition there was NO CHARGE!! It is so rare to find customer service like this these days. I worked and trained in customer service for many years so I know when it is being delivered with professionalism and sincerity. Horrible experience. I showed up with a bag full of boots and shoes to be polished and conditioned. I fully completed their ticket and I kept my receipt. I was told they would be ready the following Monday. I waited until the following Wednesday to pick them up. When I showed up after waiting behind another customer for 15 minutes while she googled whether she should buy a new pair of boots (she was googling costs and vendors....shopping on line while trying to decide if she should get her boots fixed or buy a new pair) ...WHILE I WAITED. Meanwhile no acknowledgement from the owner. When I finally got waited on i presented my ticket. The owner couldn't find any of my shoes/boots. I finally started looking too and I found them. They had not been touched! Then he tells me he won't charge me! Charge me for what?? Sooooo disorganized. I would never go back. read more
