We needed to remove an old, large cast iron radiator from our attic. This thing must have weighed 500 pounds. We needed it removed so we could have the attic reinsulated, and the insulation needed to be done before our HVAC work commenced the following week. So it was a time sensitive project--the first of several dominos if you will. I called John. Described the project. Mentioned in a follow up text that I wanted to reduce dust as much as possible. He said there would be a good amount of dust given he needed to saw the radiator into pieces to remove it. Fair enough. I called him to schedule and we landed on the day prior to my insulation in the afternoon (2-4pm). At 4:15pm when no one showed up we called. There was some issue with the crew (got stuck at another job?) and couldn't make it. The crew said they called me. I certainly didn't receive any calls as I was watching my phone like a hawk given my stress over the job. We explained to John the time sensitive nature of the job and he agreed to have his crew come at 7am the following day--the same day the insulation was to go in. There was little/no margin for error. At 7:10am I receive a text from one of his guys that says essentially that because we wanted to avoid dust and dust would be unavoidable "they couldn't guarantee I would be 100% satisfied" so they cancelled the job. I want to repeat that: Because they couldn't be assured that I would be 100% satisfied, they cancelled 50 minutes before the insulation crew was showing up after flaking the day prior. I explained I didn't care about the dust--I mean whatever, right? I needed the behemoth gone. We ended up finding a crew to come out and they slayed the beast, and I tipped the hell out of them and yes, there was dust. We managed. This was after I sped to Home Depot to buy every carbide sawzall blade they had in stock. All in all it cost us a few hundred dollars and a heck of a lot of stress. None of this would have happened, including this poor review, if 1) John never agreed to take the job, 2) we had a conversation about the dust concern beforehand, 3) they cancelled with ANY freaking notice. You might even think John would reach out after the fact and say "my bad." You'd be wrong. Instead left us high and dry so we wouldn't be anything less than 100% satisfied. Well, guys, I'm less than 100% satisfied.

I'm fairly handy but after using every Internet resource I could think of, no information on how to service my particular door could be found - I needed a Pro, and really wasn't up for a replacement project that would have run well into four figures. I called at least 5 businesses advertising Glass Replacement and Service -- including one based in my tiny Frederick County town -- and Trusted Glass was the only one that returned phone calls, stayed in touch, and provided a professional estimate and committed to a time to make the repair. Justin showed up well after business hours on a Friday evening, and had the knowledge, skills and parts required to get us back in business. The door now works better than it did when it was new. Apart from the quality of the work, Justin is personable, friendly and knows his subject cold. With a 25-year-old house, I have lots of windows that could use a little help. Justin and Trusted Glass are the only people I plan to call in future.

And the new home is on an island not accessible by car! Top Notch handled it ALL!! The crew packed everything up in Baltimore to be kept safe and sound in storage through the winter. When our new home was move in ready the following May, they took care of the move from storage reassuring us there was no need for us to make the trek back down to Baltimore to "supervise". They assured us and took care of everything on that end for us. Then they coordinated with the barging service in Portland, Maine, drove the 10 hours north in 2 full trucks, and as tides demanded, boarded a 6:30am boat across Casco Bay for the hour-long boat ride in some Maine spring weather. They arrived with smiles on their faces and unloaded the 2 trucks in record time so they could make the barge off at the next high tide. The crew was fantastic, the management helpful, reassuring, and responsive and every single item arrived in perfect shape. We could not have done this multi-stepped, complicated move without them. What we experienced in our interactions with them was worth of a zero star rating. -The office staff who answers the phone line is incredibly rude, and acts oblivious to things they have already confirmed. Making an appointment with a technician is so hard, it's almost as if they do not want business. -We were passed off from one team to another multiple times due to "staff rearrangement." When we finally got staff to assigned, they stood us up twice. At this point you'd think we'd go to another company, but we have a pretty complex home network and their team had intimate knowledge of what we needed updated. Luckily we were contacted by a new project manger who assured us they had let go some of the "old watch" and were reinvesting in staff, and they could immediately take on our project. The team was on the job, but it took them 4 different trips to complete the simple task of mounting our tv correctly. They even tried to convince us this was okay just to move on. To make it even worse, they didn't finish two other contracted tasks we agreed upon with them. Simply put for the premium prices charged, they operate as close to racketeering as possible these days.

They were hired for 3 hours to load and unload my moving truck. First of all, they were 2 and a half hours late getting to my apartment with no call stating they would be late. When they arrived, the truck was almost all the way loaded thanks to my 2 sons so there wasn't much left for them to load. They were very slow workers. It took them the full 3 hours to finish loading and unloading the truck at my new apartment. This left no time for them to reassemble my furniture that they disassembled to load onto the truck. They would have charged me an additional $160 for another hour of work just to reassemble my furniture. I was disappointed with this company. I expected more from the highest rated company.
