Ultimately, I went a different direction to save some money and get a faster job done, but if you're looking for Hunter Douglas window coverings, De Anza Interior is the place to go with competitive pricing. We recently moved to a place that did not have blinds and began using temporary paper blinds. We originally contacted Rebarts Interiors in Los Altos as they had a done a great job with our previous place's Hunter Douglas blinds. We booked their earliest available slot for a design consultation, which was 5 weeks into the future. While waiting, we decided to check out some other Hunter Douglas suppliers. Ego Blinds was the first place we stopped by on a Saturday. Mr. Shin helped us and told us he could do our design consultation that same afternoon. He came over and measured all our windows while my husband and I tried out different color samples and made our selections. I should note that the design consultation was a bit different that our consultation with Rebarts several years prior. The Rebarts consultant gave us lots of suggestions on style, color, etc. and helped us pick the design. Our consultation with Ego Blinds was more self-directed, but this was fine with us as we had a pretty good idea of what we were interested in. Mr. Shin told us the installation would happen in about 3-4 weeks. But he actually far exceeded our expectations by installing the blinds just 2 weeks after the consultation! So we ended up getting all the shades in our house installed before the time for our Rebarts design consultation even happened! (For comparison, several years ago, it took 7 weeks for Rebarts from consultation to installation.) We got blackout Duette top-down bottom-up shades for the bedrooms and roller shades for the common areas. We got our main bedroom shades motorized, and it has been great to be able to schedule the shades to open shortly before our morning alarm (so that we wake up naturally to the sunlight). The Hunter Douglas blinds are excellent quality, and we are very thankful for how quickly Ego Blinds allowed us to ditch our temporary paper blinds. Thank you!

A few days ago one of the internal springs broke. I called Ego and they told me to bring them in. Unfortunately, I had tried to fix them myself, so all the parts were scattered in a mess and I couldn't even put the parts back together. He told me he would fix them under warranty, even though I had made a mess of things (normally a 15 minute job, but it was going to take two hours because I made a mess of it... but he would still do under warranty). I can't thank him enough for repairing them. They work great, now. I definitely recommend Ego Blinds. And I definitely recommend looking at top-down/bottom-up blinds if you're not already familiar with them.

We installed Hunder Douglas motorized, hard wired blinds in 2019 throughout the house. For a few…read moreyears everything worked fine, but then the problems started. Whenever we needed service Rebarts was slow to respond, we had to chase them for follow up and got mediocre service. For example, last summer one of the blinds started making a very loud noise during operations. It took us weeks and multiple service calls to resolve. Each time Rebarts wanted to charge us $150 just for coming out and we had to argue and negotiate this away. Their service times are also long. During last year's problem I had to be very forceful and demand faster service when they were offering me a service appointment weeks in the future. After multiple service visits the problem was fixed by replacing the motor. They never followed up and we had to constantly chase them. Guess what? Last week, the same blind broke down, in a lowered position, blocking our door to the yard. Called Rebarts. No warranty. $150 just to come out and look. I am so frustrated with their terrible service and the mediocre quality of the product that I'm now getting quotes to replace the entire system, even though that's bound to be expensive. I would choose a different blinds provider AND a different installer if I had to do this over again. I'm giving them 2 stars because initially the system worked. When you need them though, prepare yourself for pain.
