    Very visible sim, there are lots of them in the entire drapery

    I don't recommend this store at all. I bought from this store expecting a prime service and product, and I didn't receive neither of them. The drapery has sims everywhere. They didn't instal the drapery in the agreed day - 1 month after the purchase - because they forgot to send one part, which the installer told happens all the time. To return and finish the installation, they asked for additional 3 1/2 weeks, generating an impact because I've removed the previous blackout from my bedroom. The support was terrible, I need to follow up 3 times to have one answer telling they will see what to do. Terrible. I'll never do busines with them at all.

    I recently purchased shades, I worked with designer Zalek, who was professional, and wonderful! She helped me pick out the best pattern for my living room. She was always responsive and attentive, sent me links to schedule installation, my shades were installed yesterday and they're absolutely gorgeous! Better than expected! Everything was very simple and organized. I highly recommend The Shade Store, work with Zalak! Thank you Zalek!

    The best customer service I could ever wish for. I have purchased motorized roller shades for my entire house from them. They have done an amazing job! From the first day of interaction with them the salesperson/account manager/installers - all were super professional. They did send a small mistake by sending the wrong sizes of the shade for one of the windows, but they have taken care of that in the best professional way. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to get quality products with the best service along the way.

Long story but will keep it brief. We bought a new home in October 2016 in which the builder completed with Budget Blinds ("BB"). One of the larger blinds in our master bedroom was defective so we reached out to BB to replace since it was under warranty. BB confirmed it was in fact under warranty but made it nearly impossible to have the blind repaired/replaced so we just let it go and simply never opened that specific blind for 2 years. Fast forward to July 2019 when I decided enough was enough. Reluctantly, I contacted BB once again in an effort to pick up where we'd left off to remind them we still had the defective blind that BB still hadn't picked up to repair/replace. They confirmed someone would be picking up the blind mid-August and it would be completed in 4-5 weeks. "Someone" did remove the blind and took it somewhere; however, we are still waiting for that blind to be returned 2.5 months later. We have left voice mails and emails without any response. "Tim and Carol Burr will get back to you" is the standard response you will receive from the answering service. I doubt the owners' names are even real at this point. Please save yourselves the aggravation and take your money elsewhere.

The storeroom is a nice place to shop, conveniently located in Proctor with ample free street parking in the area. We got a consultation in our home so that we could see the products in our space. The quote was given right away. The salesmen was very helpful and told us that the Hunter Douglas line is a lifetime type of purchase and therefore pricier than other options. Ultimately we chose a less expensive option but I think this store is worth a look, especially if you want something less common or have a more complicated situation.

They had a few issues with the process, but what blew me away was that every time I found a problem the owner immediately wrote me a check to cover the damage with no hesitation. Overall though it is a good product, it did a great job of sealing around all of the top and bottom plates, and I'm sure a bunch of other places I can't see. The aerobarrier got me down to 1.2 ach50, which surpassed my target. Their main guy was out of town, so they sent a less experienced tech. They ended up not taping off all of the plumbing penetrations, so we ended up getting sealant stuck in the dryer vent, b-vent, and a few other places. They either sent someone immediately to clean it up, or paid to replace the item when cleaning wasn't possible. They gave me an extra refund for the trouble. I wished I had the more experienced tech for the blower door, as this guy missed several things that would have improved the score. There was a window which was ajar, some plumbing penetrations which weren't taped off, and the HVAC duct work to the original house (which was square footage excluded from the test) needed to be taped off but wasn't. He also didn't know how to do a duct leakage test to the exterior (running duct leakage during blower door essentially). But I can't complain too much, as I still received a score which exceeded my expectations.
