Brit is an absolute gem and SO good at what she does. First of all, her facilities are stunning - she has put a lot of hard work into making her studio chic, inviting and comfortable, with little details down to a clothing warmer to make sure your outfit is warm when you're done being tanned. Pre-appointment instructions are clear, and she has special soap and lotion available to get for post-tanning so the tan stays beautiful and even. Today I am glowing and I smell tropical! In addition to perfect tanning skills, Brit is incredibly kind and thoughtful. She is the type of person you feel like you've known for a while after meeting her once, which is exactly what I want when getting this kind of service done. I feel my best when I'm tan, and The Shade Ritual is the place to go! read more

I finally got a spray tan by Britt- I've had a few friends recommend her and it exceeded my expectations. First thing, she is incredibly kind and professional, and her sleek, modern studio creates the perfect atmosphere. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease, I told her to pick my color and it was the perfect shade for my skin tone and intensity. I was beyond impressed with how even and long-lasting it was. I also got to pick the scent and went with coconut--it was perfect! I had to go to work afterward, and my clients didn't even noticed the smell. Plus, the location is super convenient with easy parking--a huge bonus. I'm obsessed and can't wait for my next tan! 10/10 Highly Recommend read more

I drove from Calabasas to Manhattan Beach to get my spray tan done by Britt, and I'm so glad I did! I had a really bad sunburn 3 months before my wedding and the tan line was still so obvious the weeks leading up to my wedding. I've had bad experiences before and was skeptical if Britt would be able to match my Asian skin tone, but she did! I did NOT have any orange undertones; I had an actual bronze tan PLUS she helped even out my tan lines. Her rates are more expensive than typical spray tan chains, but it's so worth it because you're paying for premium service and quality. With only two weeks until my appointment (it was a super last minute decision on my end), she was able to assess my tan lines, provide me with a personalized tan plan, and mail me the prep supplies in a timely manner so I had enough time to prepare for the appointment. Britt is so friendly and personable that I felt so comfortable during my appointment. She provided detailed post-appointment instructions, and the lotion that she offers really helps with keeping the spray tan on as long as possible. I highly recommend going to Britt for all your spray tan needs. It's very clear to see that Britt genuinely cares about her clients, and she's good at what she does! I can't stress enough how nice her spray tan pigments are, especially compared to other chain spray tans. You'll get a nice bronzey glow, and you won't look orange. read more

Britt is absolutely the best in spray tanning. She mixes the perfect color for your skins natural undertones and makes you feel totally comfortable standing there in next to nothing. She's genuine, professional, and incredibly personable. I have tried many of the sugar bronzing places and other tanning salons and no one compares to Britt. As an aging woman, I have found Britt knows how to adapt the color so My moles and age spots do not become the highlight of my fresh color. She is the right person to add to your beauty routine. read more

Britt is truly the best! I've never had a better spray tan experience. Her attention to detail and ability to customize the color to perfectly suit my skin tone is unmatched. Fantastic experience with Britt. I am getting married fairly soon and wasn't sure where to go to get a spray tan that wasn't too much or horribly uneven. My tan looked beautiful and natural and Britt made it a comfortable experience. She was able to do some light contouring in the arms and collarbone which I really liked. I highly recommend coming by to see her. You won't be disappointed. read more

Britt is AMAZING! She is kind, passionate about her craft, thorough, and very detailed. Of course I've gotten spray tans at other places but the experience truly doesn't compare. Let's get one thing straight before I start. Prior to working with Britt I had never gotten a tan, and never thought I would get one - then I was introduced to Britney. Absolute GAME-CHANGER people! Every step of the process, Britt walked me through, telling me what I could expect, what (very easy) steps I needed to take for after care, and worked extremely collaboratively with me to get the shade I want. I started off the year never having gotten a tan - I'm on my 4th one now! I know It can be scary getting a tan for the first time, but Britt honestly made it feel so welcoming and normal. I can't say enough good things about Britt - try it today, you're gonna LOVE IT. read more

Britt gave me the absolute BEST spray tan for my wedding!! I never had a trial but I trusted her from her 5 star reviews here on Yelp. She came to my apartment to spray me late after work which was so convenient and easy. I got it 5 days prior to my destination wedding in Cabo and it lasted almost 3 weeks! It didn't transfer on my sheets, look blotchy or orange at all. It was the most beautiful deep olive tan color that even as it started to fade weeks later still looked even and natural. Britt is truly an expert and spent so much time perfecting my tan, spraying it evenly from different angles and making sure it didn't get on my white nails or palms, etc. She also used the pH balancing prep spray, vanilla scent, & coconut drying powder, which I would highly recommend. I also purchased the pH balancing lotion and body wash to use to maintain my tan which helped a lot. She was so informative and helpful on what not to do and what to do to help maintain my tan. Not only is Britt extremely professional and amazing at what she does, she is so nice and personable! I've always done my own self tanner at home but nothing compares to Britt's custom spray tan. I would highly recommend!! read more

As a guy, getting a spray tan can be unfamiliar territory. Britt made the experience wonderful. She is a true black-belt at spray tanning.

I've never been consistent with my spray tans, but I do like to get one prior to any special/ big events. Well, before heading to the Taylor Swift Eras concert (an epic, life-changing event, as anyone would agree!), I went to Britt for the first time. I had never had a custom spray tan like hers before; I had only been to the more generic places that offer "light, medium or dark." I can tell you - never again! Britt was amazing! Her custom spray tan looked so natural and sexy... I will definitely come to her for any future tanning needs! Also, I bought her exfoliating mitts for my body and face, and I'd recommend those to anyone! Even if you're not tanning... these are amazing exfoliators. Made my skin feel like butter. Overall, definitely recommend Britt and all of her services and expertise. You're welcome!!! read more

Just had my bridal tan consult with Britt and I could not have asked for a better experience! Figuring out your tan situation for your wedding can be very daunting, especially if you are coming from out of town and are trusting someone you haven't used before. So finding Britt was a HUGE stress relief! She was so thorough in discussing my wedding weekend/schedule of events and EXACTLY what color/tone we were going for. I appreciated that she didn't rush that whatsoever and really wanted to make sure we were on the same page. Britt's expertise and knowledge about tanning was obvious right from the start. After listening to what I was looking for, she was collaborative but also prescriptive at the same time, which I really appreciated! So excited to have her tan for my upcoming wedding! I booked a tan with Britt for my wedding, and I can't say enough positive things about her. First of all, my soon to be husband was very nervous about me getting a tan and looking orange at our wedding. Second, I hadn't ever had a spray tan from her, so I really had no idea how it would turn out and definitely took a chance. She was incredibly communicative about what to expect and how to get the best results, and the tan ended up perfectly natural with just the right amount of bronze for me. I've searched for a tanning salon all over LA and decided to go with Bronzed by Britt. I was hesitant at first because I have had poor tanning experiences (either fading too fast, looking blotchy, appearing orange colors, using spray tanning booths for a two day tan). I made my appointment seamlessly. Britt was responsive, friendly, and very welcoming. I called to inquire about services and could tell immediately Britt knew about tanning formulas, skincare, and best practices in this industry. She went the extra mile by making sure I found the location upon arrival, was mindful of the temperature during the tan, made sure the color was even and blended, was available for communication before and after the appointment, suggested products online for aftercare, and made the whole experience feel comfortable as an activity with a girlfriend. I have fair to olive skin and I requested a nice glow slightly on the darker side. Britt customized the color to match me specifically and I woke up with beautiful bronzed tan! I would personally recommend to pay a little more for quality tan and comfortable experience. Other thoughts below - easy to park - easy to schedule appointments - quick form to fill out upon arrival - fast tanning process Thanks Britt! read more

Look no further if you want a truly custom airbrush tan. If I could give 6 stars I would. A flawless tan that lasts for at least a week? Yes, please! Bronzed by Britt has you covered. When Britt greeted me in her cute salon (with tons of parking out front) she warned me that her tans were addictive. I smiled politely and thought, "Aren't ALL tans addictive?" Ummm, no. I don't know what she has in that spray bottle of hers, but let's just call it magic. It smells good, it doesn't feel sticky, and, most importantly, it produces a natural glow that is smooth and even. Britt also provided mega detailed pre- and post- tan instructions. Sure I've seen similar information before. But this went way beyond the typical "exfoliate before you come in." I did follow the instructions, and just so you know, I didn't have to buy anything. The result? Exquisite natural color, and just the right depth of tan. Most importantly, no streaking or orangish hues in any of those weird places, like elbows or ankles. Perfection. Thanks, Britt! If I was planning my next appointment before I even got out of her salon, does that mean I'm already addicted? read more

She was very professional and gave me step by step instructions to follow before, during and after to make sure that I had the perfect tan. Highly recommend!
