Newton's has been our go to restaurant when we want to enjoy some delicious food. We normally only…read morecome here for dinner, which is when we had the ribeye and chicken fried steak! The ribeye was perfectly cooked, tender and perfectly seasoned. My wife always gets the chicken fried steak. It's a huge meal and a heck of a deal. Each plate came with mashed potatoes and some veggies. I love desserts and I am always trying new places to find the best desserts. I can honestly say that Newton's bread pudding is the best bread pudding I have ever had and is one of my favorite desserts. I follow their social media and I always see their burger Tuesday's. We happened to be passing through and decided to stop in. Carlos was our server and he was on top of things and he offered great customer service. I got the triple meat smash burger with grilled jalapeños and bacon added. My wife got the buffalo chicken sandwich. They were both tasty. I would definitely stop by again for their burgers but their steaks are still my go to. And of course we had to finish our meals with a bread pudding!!

My wife had the filet and the kitchen was nice enough to sub a gluten free pasta for the blue cheese gnocchi that was on the menu. The pasta was buttery and rich, very rich but my wife enjoyed it and said the steak was up there with the best steak she's ever had. Get the bourbon glazed carrot.. trust me.

Absolutely Outstanding Dining on the Square - Christina's Never Disappoints!…read moreChristina's has become one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Granbury. The location right on the square is perfect, and the ambiance is warm and inviting, ideal for a special night out or a celebratory dinner. The food is consistently excellent. The Chilean sea bass is a standout, perfectly cooked every time. The seared scallops are wonderful, with a beautiful crust and tender inside. I've had the salmon multiple times and it's always nicely seared on the outside and wonderfully tender and flaky. For appetizers, the pear & Brie crostini is a must-order sweet, savory, and absolutely delicious. Yes, it's a bit on the pricier side, but the quality, presentation, and service more than justify it. This is a busy spot (especially on weekends), so reservations are highly recommended. From start to finish, everything about Christina's feels special. Attentive service, beautiful plates, and food that tastes like it was made with care. If you're in Granbury, make the time to eat here -- you won't regret it. We'll definitely be back again soon!

Wings were raw, disgusting, slimy. The batter they use was still raw. 3:05 Bartender (not my waitress) delivers tab explaining the waitress was getting off shift. Tab was wrong. Was charged for 3 16 oz beers and boneless wings. I paid it just to end the fiasco. Beer empty for 30 mins, bartender ignores me like the plague. I ask for new beer and bring up my wings to show that they were raw. Bartender cuts me off. No more beer. Been there for 3 hours. Paid for 8oz more beer than I was served and a plate of inedible food. Who is the looser here. The best way to describe this establishment is ignorant and self entitled. That bartender has no business being behind the bar let alone serving customers. It was actually pretty pathetic. P.S. I have a speech impediment, (I stutter really bad) maybe you should have got to know me before you judged me. I was there to enjoy myself, instead I was treated like garbage while giving your establishment my money. Fix yourself, it's pathetic.

Cooking pits didn't seem to be very active and the incinerator (burns mesquite down to coals) didn't either. Made me wonder if they haven't switched over to covert rotisserie pits like Cooper's. Sure hope not. Anyhow, I got half lb lean brisket and 2 pork ribs. I grew up eating this style of q and this had that same 'fat dripping into the fire' flavor that all Llano-style q has. I used to love it. I mean, really love it. Now, to me, it's just ok. H8 did a very good job executing this style of q, but I believe the direct cooking flavor is inferior to a well run, clean burning offset. The fat sizzle flavor hit me more as an off note than 'Ah yeah, Llano q'. Also, Llano-style q is heavy on the salt. I guess my taste buds have grown up. Also, the H8 sauce is NOT traditional Llano thin ketchup vinegar style dip. On 2nd thought, if the meat was cooked direct over coals, the better option might have been to go for the pulled pork, ala North Carolina style. But, this is Texas, after all.
