When we entered the store the employees were working on a display of some sort, and they said hello. That was the last we heard from them. We stood in front of the ENewton counter for at least 10 minutes hoping that someone would come unlock the case so that we could try some things on. No one even attempted to help us. There are plenty of places in Charleston to buy these bracelets. The lack of customer service lost them a sale, and we were the only ones in the store! There were three employees and no other customers. I'm sure that one person could have stepped away from the display to help us. What a disappointment.

Had I not have tried to take in the entire store I will say if you had a question at any point during your perusal, you might be out of luck to find someone. That being said-- I absolutely LOVE that they have included a local craft coffee shop in Harlow & Pearl to add to the charm of the converted barn market for a Country Chic feel. Love that you can grab a coffee and shop at your leisure without someone looking over your shoulder so you're able to experience everything at your own pace. It's a nice touch. The nature of the size of the place, lends it to being a nice space to spend a lazy afternoon, especially in the rain, to look for the perfect gift for that special someone to suit whatever specific occasion you might need to serve!

She wasn't very friendly and couldn't care less that I received a receipt that looks as though my account was charged. When sharing my concern she stated I wasn't charged and ended the conversation. This isn't a good representation of customer service and community. It was their error and a little kindness would have been nice. With this economy small businesses need all the support they can get. Kindness is the least they could give when they made an error and alarmed you that a charge was made on your card.

If you're curious about an item, put it in your cart and take it to the designated counter before checkout to have them open everything for you. From there you can decide if you'd like to go ahead and purchase the item or pass. (These directions are played continuously throughout the store in English and Spanish. There is a giant sign out from that states this AND signs inside.) Be prepared to spend an hour or more in here to dig through everything. It is very dusty so be mindful and dress accordingly (don't wear something you don't want to get dirty, or wear gloves etc) It can be a lot of fun finding u issue items here or that one thing you've been searching for for your home.
