When we entered the store the employees were working on a display of some sort, and they said hello. That was the last we heard from them. We stood in front of the ENewton counter for at least 10 minutes hoping that someone would come unlock the case so that we could try some things on. No one even attempted to help us. There are plenty of places in Charleston to buy these bracelets. The lack of customer service lost them a sale, and we were the only ones in the store! There were three employees and no other customers. I'm sure that one person could have stepped away from the display to help us. What a disappointment.

This will definitely become a new favorite. They also had clearance bins and my friend found two great shirts for $15 bucks a piece. And Renee', my wife's stylist, is spot on every time. Sooo, my wife thought I should join her one time, "maybe you could get a pedicure ", she said. I knew what that meant! I let her make me an appointment with Pam, the nail professional, and joined her in her pampering. And oh boy, was I pampered! Aside from all the Hee-Haw about a guy coming into the shop for something other than a gift, I was indulged with a spectacular foot massage, nail trim, calf rub, and yes...great conversation. Part boutique part hair salon, Charmed is all southern hospitality. It's not located in the King ave shopping hub, so I imagine this lil boutique usually only sees locals. But thanks to Yelp, we stumbled in the doors during our girl's weekend in Charleston. I am so glad we did. This gift boutique has the cutest stuff! My bestie and I each got a few things, but my fave things I purchased are two personalized items, and not because they're great items (though they are), but because of the service I received when making my purchase. Charmed does a lot of personalization. Monograms are literally overflowing in the cash wrap section of the store. And when checking out, a lot caught my eye. I was dying to get a finger tip towel with a pineapple monogram embroidered and a flamingo monogrammed door hanger for my mama for Mother's Day. The trouble with personalized items when ya don't live in town is you're not there to pick them up when they're ready. But Charmed was so accommodating. They made it so I received my mama's flamingo in the mail in time for Mother's Day, and even though the finger tip towel is usually provided by the buyer for monogramming, they were understanding that I didn't have one with me given I was traveling and all, so they included it in the price and got one for me to be personalized. And when they dropped it off in the mail? They called me to tell me it was on its way!! THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE! I may not live in Charleston, but I am a Charmed shopper for life. If you're looking for Clemson or South Carolina merchandise, or Charleston themed gifts to take home, Palmetto Moon is the place to go. They also stock merchandise for The Citadel and College of Charleston, so if you're into those schools or teams, you can buy it here without having to go downtown or onto the campus of those universities. The prices are less expensive than gift shops downtown, with the convenience of parking and being near so many other stores at Tanger. If you're a tourist, Tanger is probably on your way out of town and therefore, the perfect place to shop before leaving Charleston so you won't have to lug those bags around downtown. I understand why Palmetto Moon moved to Tanger, and they will get much more foot traffic here, but the store seems to have less space in between the aisles and tables. Also, this Palmetto Moon stocks more clothes and t-shirts, but fewer accesories, gifts, and shoes than other locations. I'm not sure if this is a permanent change or temporary for this location or time of year, but I'd love to see more tailgating gear, hats, and home products again.

The girls kept checking in on me and asking if I needed anything or had any questions as I looked around. I wanted to buy something small for a cute Christmas gift and went with an airplant with little stand. I also bought one for myself! I love that they have selections from local vendors and that they have lots of crystals! Plant girlies usually love crystals too! The only thing I will say is that the plants are on the pricey side so be prepared to pay. Everything looks in great condition though! Will be back!
