Overall, great place and wonderful customer service!

This is a fun activity for the whole family. The owner, a former teacher who turned her hobby into a business, is great with kids. There are small bits of glass around, so it's not for super little ones. Optimal for a group experience or making a gift for someone special. Tip-If you're visiting from out of town, they will mail you your creation (it needs to be fired several times and takes a few days).

You drop in and can choose from a variety of crafts (painting, wood burning, glass etching, string art, knitting, wreath making, etc) and instructors walk around and guide you through your project. If you come in a group, each person does not have to do the same craft, allowing the opportunity to explore different interests. Our group did a combo of glass etching, wood burning, and string art. Craft pricing ranges from $20-40. The food and drink menu is reasonable, offering cheese/charcuterie plates, paninis, bruschetta, pastries, wine, beer, ciders, and non-alcoholic beverages. I enjoyed the Monet - a panini with strawberries, Nutella, and Brie; it was warm and melty with a mix of sweet and salty. I am definitely not an artist but enjoyed our afternoon at Pikasso Swig and am happy for this addition to 5th Street Station!

I went to this place with my 2 friends and 2 of us decided to split the glass tile coasters. When…read morethey brought out the tiles there was not many colors to pick from and the colors they did have, some of them only had 1 or 2 tiles left. The tiles were also not even so when placing the tiles on the coaster some were more raised than others. I'm not sure how a coaster is functional is it's not flat leveled. We ended up just not doing a craft because the other options just weren't worth the money. Our other friend did the flower pressed lamp and they didn't have very many flowers to pick from. We also considered doing the ceramic painting but all of the ceramics were very childish and looked like they were created by amateur.

I absolutely love the chalk paint she sells (Dixie Bell brand), and I refinished all of my kitchen cabinets with it. It covers better than any chalk paint I've used, and it looks amazing! Also, Kim refinishes furniture and makes the most unique things! She uses stencils to add a beautiful touch to her art pieces, plus she teaches classes, which I haven't yet attended, but plan to! She is a great teacher and is passionate about what she does, and I've seen pictures of what they make in the classes- there are so many options! Lazy Daisy staff was helpful, patient, and kind! Party room was spacious and cheery, and not fancy, so no worries about what young kids might do in the space. Plenty of tables and chairs for a group of 10 kids plus parents--had two sets of tables so we could do ceramics on one, have extra activities (paper crowns to decorate, coloring pads, blank cards, fossil excavation kit) on the other for those who finished painting early, and then could have cake at the first table once the ceramics were cleared away. They let us store our ice cream cake from Kirt's in their freezer till it was time, and even helped us find plates and forks, which we forgot to pack. (Fortunately there is a nearby gas station with sundries.) They are a small business, so cash/check is preferred (wish I had remembered to bring a checkbook). We did a "test run" painting some small items in the drop-in studio with the two birthday celebrants a week before the party, which worked well so they felt familiar with the venue and activity--if you can manage it I'd recommend that too. In theory the room can handle up to 50, but I'd say our group of ~25 was perfect for the space. Would warmly recommend this place to any parents seeking alternatives to Little Gym, Carver Rec, and Discovery Museum birthday parties for this age group!
