Had a blast with the kids and there are a lot of good options to paint. It can get expensive, so be prepared! Worth the memories.

Staff is composed of artists who have tried the art supplies.) 2. Michael's (more crafts, one-two aisles for art supplies, and no helpful artist with their own experiences) 3. AC Moore (more like Michaels) 4. Online (again, no one to answer questions, no way to touch and test supplies but can be less expensive, takes more time to get the art supplies). I have explored all the options. I found Michaels has the best selection of art cases in the bead aisle. There is a plastic two-sided container with handles which opens flat to see all the paints that I love. The paint brush selection, though, is pitiful. AC Moore was more crowded and uninspiring in materials. Although I love dickblick.com, there is a minimum order and delay in getting supplies. There is no one to ask. I had a special mod podge project to collage some porous houseplant pots, and then discovered that the mod podge doesn't protect the collage from water damage. Well, I wanted some fine artists supplies: unisom and schminke pastels, dark and light, winsor and newton or Williamsburg fine artists grade oil paint, workable fixative, and better paintbrushes. It cost too much, but the salesperson was able to answer my questions in detail and direct me to the correct items. Worth every penny.

The owner is a lovely lady who keeps limited hours making it worth your while to schedule an outing here. She offers a number of frankly unprecedented shopper discounts and loyalty perks. The store itself is off the main street and not in a place for walkin patronage. Rather it is a little gem tucked in with seemingly a very loyal clientele. My friend and I made a special trip here and regular customers were stopping in throughout our visit. The store is full of wonderful paper products from all over the world. I purchased papers from Germany, Japan and Hungary to name a few of the lovely, artistic and unusual papers . The shop carries many current and popular brands usually available only on line. The shop also carries many items for altered art projects and paper crafting , metal dies, stamps, inks, and mixed media. There is a small well stocked classroom where classes in various techniques are generally held on alternate Saturdays. If you are a paper crafter, card maker, or altered or mixed media artist, support this shop and tell your like minded friends. This shop is well worth the drive and visit!
