This was not a very good experience. When I arrive to a mostly empty restaurant at lunchtime and am…read moreasked if I have a booking, that's usually a clue. We were seated and left with the menus... for a long time. After about 15 minutes, someone came for orders. They do label vegetarian and gluten free items on part of the menu, but I had questions about the burger with no bun. Turns out there's gluten in the meat too, so I opted for the veggie risotto. When I asked the waitress what vegetables were in it, her answer was "peas... and some other stuff, I can't remember." Sounds great! My partner ordered a veggie wrap off the light bites menu. After another way too long period of time, we finally got our food. The risotto seemed like normal rice with sauce poured over - it was strange in texture and flavour. The veggies were peas, leeks and what I'm pretty sure was lettuce, though it could have been kale. My partner's wrap was super spicy and he didn't really enjoy that either. Since I'd ordered off the set menu, I had to wait for the dessert to roll up (white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake - base is not gluten free!) We requested the bill and dessert at the same time, bill arrived first. The cheesecake was unimpressive; I couldn't pick out any white chocolate, and the berries were more scattered on the plate than in/on the cake itself. The servers were friendly enough, but the whole experience was just so slow. I would not return.

The atmosphere in Largs at night is so much better than in Paisley. You don't feel like you're going to be stabbed. Fast forward three and a half years and here we are, sunny day and looking for a beer garden. I remember Lounge has a roof terrace. Drinks are reasonable. The pub is classy, chandeliers and chesterfield sofas, that kind of thing and a full cocktail menu. Worth a visit when you're down this way! After Nardini's, of course.

Although you are limited with your food, the options are slightly better than the buffet style over at Aspire Lounge. With that said, this also means you will need to wait about 5-10 minutes for your food to come out. I did see pictures of some of food options, and ones like the bacon roll and sausage sub did not look quite appetizing. It may be a bit of a hit or miss here with the food, but I can tell you that the mac and cheese was yummy. The sauce was cheesy and full of truffle oil, which I requested --maybe a little too much truffle oil to be honest. I added extra crispy onions from the side counter as well. There are some bread, salad, baked goods, and soup options that is free for all if the entree isn't enough for you. I did find this lounge more relaxing and bright, especially with the high ceilings. I'd come to this lounge for the atmosphere, but Aspire for the food; although both are not too far of a stretch. Or if you have the time, you can go to both like I did (because my flight was delayed).

The seatings are like very classy type, a nice bar at the side. Service: The bar tender is nice and also the guy who checks me in. Food: They have a small buffet type of breads, cereals and juices. They have a menu handed by a guy who checks u in and once you chose the food you want to order you will tell the bartender what you want then they will serve it to you. Here is the problem, all the food on the menu does not taste good, well I mean I ordered 2. First I had CLASSIC SAUSAGE SUB: it was 2 sliced sausage with ketchup on a bun, it taste ew, like I didn't eat any. I told myself maybe I'll try the POACHED EGG with AVOCADO: still taste ew, the egg is like mid hard boiled egg and the avocado has a plastic taste on it. So what did I do? I moved to the next door lounge and the food was waaayyy better!! 100x better. Price rating: Had access here cause of my Chase reserve card. The interior is pretty nice, I felt like the people go here just to feel that they are special because of the atmosphere, but the food was meh.

Around the corner from a sea of chain pubs, Brewdog stands out as the perfect way to unwind and relax after a day of sightseeing in Stirling. Brittany A. and I, along with our dog Penny, stopped in for a late lunch and a pint. This Brewdog follows the interior design of most of the bars in the group with a re-adapted industrial theme present. Stirling's Brewdog has an unpretentious, neighbourhood feel to it. There is a ton of seating, with six large booths and a long lounge style booth at the front. They definitely want you to stay, with free WIFI, board games, and a pinball machine. You'll find the standard Brewdog brews here, as well as a featured guest tap list. I tried a long-time favourite, Weihenstephan's hefeweizen on tap, and Brittany tried a bottled cider. We've never dined at Brewdog - we usually end our nights at the bar. We tried two of their pies and split an order of sweet potato fries. The pies are made by Pieminister, based in Bristol and shipped in to each Brewdog location. It's hard to tell, as my vegetarian friendly Heidi pie with sweet potatoes, spinach, and goat cheese tasted absolutely fresh and delicious. Brewdog, as one would hope, is dog friendly, providing Penny with water, ample treats, and a lot of attention during our visit. Most of my Brewdog experiences have lasted an hour or two at most. With friendly faces, a laid back atmosphere, and plenty to do, I could spend a whole day in Brewdog Stirling.

Fun pub atmosphere, great beer options, good food. We especially liked the pizza and the fried…read morechicken wings.

Honestly, I was surprised that the lounge wasn't that full. We found seating right away near some windows. I think it was a view of the parking lot. It was still dark outside when we arrived early in the morning. The coffee is great! They serve Union Hand-Roasted Coffee in all of their lounges. The breakfast options are good here. I believe I had a fruit salad and a pastry. There were sausages, streaky bacon, porridge, and other items. I was still trying to wake up at that point. The one thing that I was most impressed with was the Tunnocks Tea Cakes. I'd never had this Scottish treat before. It's like a Mallomar marshmallow cookie, only it's not as sweet and the marshmallow is light & fluffy. It was nice that there was a special area of Scottish treats at the tea bar. They also had the Scottish tablets and shortbread. What a treat! It was a quiet lounge that even included some private work pods for those traveling alone. Most of the seats had charging stations. It was modern, clean, comfy, and quiet in there. It was nice just to be away from the busy terminal.

I liked that this lounge is relatively spacious and less busy than the ones at Heathrow, but it also comes with less options. The food options were of course proper English bites from sausage and gravy to pot pies to petite sandwiches. The bar has a fair amount of juices and liquors, and you can confidently make a large variety of classic cocktails yourself. As for access, all BA business flights give you access (as well as One World Sapphire). The options and seatings seem relatively on par with how exclusive it is. Walking into Wildfire, the brick and wood of the restaurant exude a wonderful energy and ambiance. We were greeted and shown to a table near the window and in the corner. We were close to the people at the next table, bit it offered an opportunity to strike up a conversation. The wine list was extensive, we chose a cider and the porter. They were both more than satisfactory. My wife and I shared the smoked salmon starter that was very good. It was lightly smoked, that brought out both the flavor of the fish, and enhanced it. The fish was moist and tender. Our main dishes included both the seabass and the combo mussels with prawns. The latter was the better choice with very sweet and tender mussels and an excellent sauce. The seabass was lightly pan fried and my wife really liked her selection. For dessert, we had the cheese platter and toffee cake with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream. The coffee and tea completed our meal wonderfully. I recommend this restaurant highly.
