I waited in line like every other customer and spoke directly with the hostess. She was preparing to seat me, but then informed me that because I did not yet have all four members of my party present, I could not be seated. I explained that some members of my party were still looking for parking while others were on their way, and asked whether I could simply be seated as a party of one while I waited. I had driven a considerable distance specifically for this event and intended to purchase food and drinks. I was told that I could not be seated or served until the rest of my party arrived. What made this especially confusing was that the event had been advertised as first come, first served. Based on that advertising, I reasonably expected that arriving early and waiting in line would secure a place. Instead, I was told I could not be seated or served despite having arrived and waited my turn. Out of frustration, I briefly sat down hoping to get a drink of water and order food while waiting. When I was told I could not sit there, I immediately got up and left the table. I then asked whether there was anywhere else I could at least get food and water while waiting for my friends. Both the hostess and the manager informed me that I could not be served unless my full party was present. What further added to my frustration was watching a party of two get seated shortly afterward. Whether there were circumstances I was unaware of or not, it created the appearance that the policy was being applied inconsistently. My concern is less about being denied a table and more about the inconsistent messaging and customer experience. Had I been clearly informed in advance that "first come, first served" was subject to a full-party seating requirement, I would have planned accordingly. While I can acknowledge my role in the interaction, I believe there is also an opportunity for your business to reflect on how situations like this are communicated and handled. Customer dissatisfaction often comes not from the existence of a policy, but from inconsistent application and poor communication of that policy. Given the number of reviews expressing similar concerns, it may be worth considering whether there is a pattern that deserves attention. I don't want the two star review to reflect on our bartender. She was great. (Unless she was the one skipping our songs because low-key ... ) ... I did try to bring this to her attention and she kept saying it was because other people are playing priority songs ... however, when you buy a priority song, it does not skip the previous song or current song that is playing... rather, when you buy a priority song, it puts you next in line once the song prior to your purchase is finished playing. So clearly our songs were being deliberately skipped by the establishment as they were being "nexted" after only 10-30 seconds. Anyway, looking back now, I'm looking at her funny like were you the one skipping our songs? nonetheless like I said we tipped her well because we are good people. However, when you pay a lot of money for jukebox songs, especially priority (which was all that we did ...) for them to get skipped deliberately by the establishment immediately after they play one after another is a sad reality. We will absolutely continue coming back, just unfortunately not as often as we used to. We were regular Thursday night customers because we absolutely loved Music Bingo. My husband, my two daughters, and I would come together as a family almost every Thursday. It became something we genuinely looked forward to each week. Thursdays used to be packed, sometimes so crowded that it was hard to find a seat. There was such a fun atmosphere, with different tables bantering with each other, laughing, competing, and getting into the music. We enjoyed it so much that we even brought prizes for the host to give away. It was more than just playing bingo; it was the whole experience and energy of the night. Unfortunately, since the new Music Bingo host took over, the experience has completely changed. We even tried talking to him about it, and he told us that as long as he is running Music Bingo, he will never use the app and will continue doing everything on paper. He uses the same card for the entire two-hour game, which means that even if you arrive late, you essentially have no chance of winning. That takes away a huge part of what made the game exciting and competitive. I do want to be fair and say that we know he also hosts trivia on Tuesdays, and we actually like his approach to trivia. His style seems to work well for that format. Unfortunately, that same approach just doesn't seem to vibe with Music Bingo. Music Bingo needs a different kind of energy, interaction, and flair, and sadly, that has been missing. The host has also been rude to us when we've tried to discuss our concerns, which has made the experience even less enjoyable. The difference in the Thursday night atmosphere is very noticeable. Thursdays used to be packed and full of energy, and now the place is often nearly empty. The fun atmosphere and camaraderie we used to look forward to are simply gone. We understand that he runs the game on his own and is entitled to run it how he wants. At the end of the day, though, the format and the overall vibe have changed enough that our family no longer wants to make Thursday nights a regular part of our week. That's especially disappointing because this was something all four of us genuinely enjoyed doing together. We are still giving The Brass Tap five stars because the restaurant itself, the food, and the rest of the staff have always been fantastic. We will definitely come back for those things. We just won't be coming back as often for Music Bingo. Hopefully, at some point, Music Bingo can become the fun, lively, interactive experience it used to be.
