LOOK NO FURTHER FOR A HEMORRHOID DOCTOR, THIS IS THE DOCTOR TO SEE. Thank God we found Dr. Scott…read moreWoody. He is a remarkable doctor!!! He's knowledgeable, personable, listens, explains all options available, and definitely cares about his patients concerns and comfort. Dr. Woody is incredible, you will be as thankful as we are that we found him. Two visits has made a day and night difference for my husband. Thank you Dr. Woody!!!  And yes, your staff is great too. Before we found Dr. Woody..... My husband was in the Emergency Room twice within a week with severe bleeding of external hemorrhoids. The ER referred us to a colon & rectal surgeon; this surgeon was knowledgeable.... BUT what a horrible experience; the appointment was a nightmare.  He was heartless and callous about the pain my husband was in. The rectal exam was pure torture; he used something similar to the Kelly Proctoscope (blunt end, 50mm). He RAMMED the proctoscope in, no warning, no "take a deep breath"...nothing... my husband has a very high tolerance for pain, however he was in extreme agony with the pain this doctor was inflicting.  We couldn't leave fast enough. Thank God we found Dr. Woody on the internet. OMG there's no comparison between the two doctors.

If you want to see a Dr who actually cares, DO NOT GO TO THIS PROVIDER!!!…read more My experience with this provider this year (2026) was HORRIFIC! First off, my primary care physician put through the referral towards the end of 2025. GOTR (Gastroentrology of the Rockies) NEVER contacted me to set up the endoscopy. I called them in January to follow-up. They advised they NEVER received the referral and my Primary care Dr had to put through another request. Again, not received. Finally able to set up an appointment in February. The earliest appointment I could booked was in June. :-( AND... It wasn't even for the Endoscopy. It was a pre-endoscopy appointment. The endoscopy was preformed in July. There was ZERO interaction with the Doctor after the procedure. I was supposed to have a follow-up appointment this month. BUT... I received a text message that the provider who I was supposed to meet with left the practice and I would need to reschedule. When I called to reschedule, in August, the earliest they could get me scheduled was DECEMBER!!!! WTF?! Seriously?! So... I opted to schedule an appointment with my primary care physician instead. I'm seeing him on Friday. Today, I called RMG, as I haven't been able to access the results of the endoscopy + they never sent the results to my primary care physician. I was advised that I had to request the results for GOTR to be sent to me. They also advised they sent the result to my primary care physician (PCP). After further probing (which was truly painful), it was determined they sent the results to a doctor who hasn't been my PCP for over a year!!!! In reviewing the results, the document was addressed to the WRONG primary care physician. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?! The correct PCP was the Dr who referred me... To me... This is incompetency at its finest! They CLEARLY DO NOT CARE!!! ALL OF THE ABOVE was DRASTICALLY different than the experience I had with a Colonoscopy I had performed at the same location in 2025.

Rocky Mountain Gasteroenterologist is when they refer their patients for this procedure, so I trusted their recommendation. Shortly after the referral, I received a phone call from a nurse who took down some information regarding of my health history. I was then given a choice of a morning or afternoon appointment and scheduled for the procedure at their earliest available date, which was a reasonsable 2 weeks after the referral. I then received detailed written instructions both via regular mail and email regarding the pre procedure routine for cleaning out your system. These instructions were easy to follow and the "clean out package" was easy to order online from a link in the email. The package contained several laxatives, Gatorade powder to mix it with, broth and jello for the clear liquid diet and tushy wipes. I appreciated having everything in one place before my procedure. When I arrived at the center on my procedure day, I was greeted by the receptionist and was given several forms to complete. I then waited about 20 min. A friendly nurse who introduced herself as Ellen greeted me, took me back to the preoperative area and instructed me to change into the gown and socks. The warmed socks were a nice touch! She smoothly started mt IV was started and then met my endoscopist, Dr. Jain and my nurse anesthestitist, Adam. Both were very friendly and reassuring. After another short wait, I was taken back to the endoscopy room where the procedure was done. Thanks to Adam's expertise, I felt nothing and besides being a little groggy, I woke up feeling great. Nurse Jenny met me in recovery and along with Dr. Jain, they explained the findings thoroughly. I was given a packet of written instructions along with a number to call if I had any problems, and then sent home. The next day, I received a phone call from Nurse Colleen to check on me and make sure I was doing ok. This was a nice touch. Overall, I had a easy and positive experience at Lakewood Endoscopy Center and would highly recommend them to anyone having a colonoscopy. Thanks to all the caregivers that helped me through a routine, but nerve-wracking, procedure!

I explained that I had several recent medical visits (urgent care, ER, MRI, and two spinal injections) that all still needed to be processed by insurance, and I preferred to wait until everything cleared so I'd know the actual amount I owed. The front desk told me I couldn't be seen unless I paid at least half. I repeated that I didn't want to pay an arbitrary amount and then have to fight for a refund that could take weeks. I simply wanted them to bill my insurance and charge me the correct amount afterward -- the way every other facility has done. They refused, so I left. A few minutes later, the same staff member called to say she had "rerun" my insurance and now it showed I only owed around $350, so suddenly that amount was acceptable. Which just proved my point -- it clearly fluctuates. What if they ran it again tomorrow and it showed I owed $0? I had fasted for two days, taken a PTO day, spent money on supplies for the prep, and sacrificed time with my son for absolutely nothing because they insisted on collecting an inaccurate estimate up front. This was incredibly unprofessional and showed zero regard for patients' time, money, or basic dignity. I will be taking my care elsewhere. DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY!!!

Making the appointment: friendly and very accommodating scheduler. Appointment communication: emails were very well detailed and easy to find my prep instructions and what to expect. Appointment arrival: easy check-in, clinic is run smoothly and efficiently with friendly staff at the front desk. Pre-procedure: all of the nursing staff is wonderful! I was lucky to have Dottie, she's patient, kind, very gentle and being in her care was an absolute blessing. Anesthesia: I cannot remember his name for sure, Caleb maybe, was really great! Direct instructions and what to expect. Very careful with positioning and helping me with all of the lines including IV and oxygen. Dr. McVay: Absolutely wonderful doctor - kind, caring, compassionate (I was very nervous) and easy to talk to. Medical/Surgical assistant: she may have been Stacy, very friendly in the procedure room. Heidi: she was my nurse in recovery and really friendly as well. The facility director: I didn't get her name, but we were on a delay today for electrical outages. She was fantastic at communicating, coordination and handling the situation with ease in a stressful situation. Long review because it's medical and important to convey the care received.
