She let the facility know that she may be a little late for her appointment because she needed to drop off her car for new tires. She was told that if it was an issue, they would call her an reschedule prior to the appointment. My daughter arrived to her appointment 5-7 minutes late. After 5-10 minutes they brought her back to the room to wait for the doctor. The person who brought her back told her that the doctor was running late. Approximately 20 minutes after my daughter was waiting in the room, the doctor showed up. The doctor told her that because my daughter was late, she could wait 40 more minutes or reschedule. My daughter could not wait, so she left. The doctor also stated that she had to push my daughter because she had a new patient she needed to attend to. Because of this, my daughter did not have her consultation and did not get her necessary medication refilled. I am extremely upset that after all these years as customers, my daughter was treated so poorly.

From a very young age they would show me on a chart how I compared to other kids my age and listed my BMI. For those who don't know BMI is absolutely meaningless, especially when it is derived only from your weight and height. I was very athletic and muscular, so I was always in a higher percentile, and my BMI showed that I was obese (which I was absolutely not). Starting around age 10, I restricted my eating because of this and, as I got older, it only got worse. In addition, the nurses and doctors talked to me like a toddler, even when I was older. They constantly deferred to my parents for questions and decisions (again, even when I was older). Everything my doctor (Dr Stephanie) said and asked was insincere and, I had no say in my care or what she did to my body. Even now, at 22, I get panic attacks thinking about my time at PIP and struggle to get regular checkups (especially any physical exams). For your child's wellbeing, please go anywhere else. Don't do to your child what this place did to me.
