I am very grateful that my children are no longer patients here. I will say that it has been years since my children were seen here and I hope that the practice has changed it's policy, but we we're dismissed as patients for refusing to have our child receive ALL of the vaccines on the childhood recommended schedule. The nurses that we have encountered have been amazing. Our primary for our baby is Myra Nepereny and she's really great! The quality of care is awesome here. They also offer ear piercings for $40. Uh who knew that house calls were even a thing!? And for the same cost as a regular visit!? Heck yes!! The women who can for the house call were AWESOME with my baby. She had to get 4 shots and a heel prick and barely flinched. They were so gentle with her. They both had amazing bedside (in this case living room floor) manner. They played with her while they gave her a detailed physical and offered me great input on feeding and sleeping. Absolutely a fantastic experience. So so so excited about this office! read more

We came off many recommendations from our military community. We really like Lori, one of their new providers. We saw her for an unexpected sick appt and she was great and very sweet to our baby. I wish we had her as our PCP, but I feel too bad and awkward to ask to switch to her as our main care provider vs someone else we are seeing in the clinic who isn't bad. Nothings wrong, but we just really liked Lori. I like that they offer text messaging for questions and also telehealth services. Their office is very clean and decorated with cute bulldogs everywhere. Fellow dog lover here! We originally wanted to see Dr. Phipps based on all her reviews but she was unavailable when our baby was born and then she retired shortly after. I am giving one less star because masks are not required in the office. Although I do understand the mask mandate is lifted in Parker county, I'm paranoid and scared waiting with my newborn and his undeveloped immune system in the lobby with other unmasked children and adults, especially with it currently being flu/cold/rsv season. It's a medical office where sick kids do come in, not Costco or Walmart. I highly highly suggest asking all visitors to wear masks. We just moved to the area and were searching for a pediatrician for our twin 9 mins old babies. We picked Mainstreet based on yelp reviews and were very happy with our decision to do so. Our entire expert was smooth from making the appointment time to check out. I felt like we were never rushed, all of the staff was welcoming and the enviro was warm feeling. I felt as if the staff was listening to my and took the time to provide the answers I needed. We never felt rushed and the twins felt comfortable, I know because they were just chill the entire visit! I would highly recommend them. As a side. For context my daughter had been seen here from the time she was born until she was 1. She only saw the actual pediatrician twice. Most of the time it was nurse practitioners. In October we had her 1 year appointment with Megan Echternacht (keep in mind my daughter had not seen her before which is fine it was just a follow up). At the time of the appointment my daughter had been struggling with skin issues since she was about 4 months old, she also wasn't eating much and she had had diarrhea for a couple of days all of which I brought up to Echternacht at the time of the appointment. My biggest concern at that time was her skin, she had been prescribed different creams and oral antibiotics by other staff before and nothing was helping. In a years time they never suggested a dermatologist or allergy testing they always suggested I wait it out but on that day (1 yr appointment Echternacht suggested we eliminate cows milk and replace with oat milk cold turkey because she claimed my 12 month old may be allergic to cows milk. No slow transition, no allergy test done, no blood work nothing. She suggested I eliminate the only source of nutrition for my 12 month old baby with diarrhea, no appetite and a skin rash flare up without knowledge that the milk was the problem. At the time I trusted she was giving me the best advice so I followed it and I still have guilt for not listening to my intuition as a mother. The next day my daughter had 2 seizures and was hospitalized. After vigorous testing the doctors determined it was caused by low blood sugar and lack of nutrients due to the change in milk and diarrhea combined. They were shocked Echternacht would suggest a 12 month old be restricted milk while having diarrhea and not having an appetite. Because of Covid we had to continue our follow up visits at Mainstreet Pediatrics until she was 15 months old. At our follow up after the hospital we again saw Echternacht she didn't even seemed surprised or compassionate when she learned my daughter had seizures and was hospitalized. She was in and out in 5 minutes. It took everything in me not to confront her but I didn't because I know at that time my daughter still needed vaccines and boosters in the coming months. So today am writing this review hoping to cause caution with patients taking their children to this office. I have painfully included a photo of what my daughters face looked like while we were being seen at Mainstreet and how she looks now that she is being seen by another pediatrician and a dermatologist which I will add I begged them to refer me to right before we switched pediatricians. I texted them a photo of my daughters rashes and I begged for them to refer her. I will forever feel guilt for allowing my better judgment to be influenced by someone that gave me horrible advice and I will have to live with that guilt forever. We took our daughter here to get her ears pierced, and we're not previous patients. After we left the office we automatically called to switch over from our current pediatrician. Mainstreet Pediatrics is so welcoming. From the front desk, to the nurses / Doctors, all of them were positive and great with us and our babygirl. Cassidy was a fantastic nurse and Danielle was our NP who was also amazing. Mean! Do not take "children" for mental health issues as Dr. Phibbs has or does not know that her son threatens and intimidates me and other mothers that "this is my practice". Our don had mental health issues and was given improper medication which led to a suicide attempt. I just got a nasty text message from Dr. Phibbs (or her psycho son) that she is tired "of COVID bringing out the worst in everyone" either way they have access to PHI ....I never want consent given to these providers to touch my children. We have been taking our oldest son here for about 4 years and didn't hesitate to bring our now 13 month old to Mainstreet from the time he was born. Mainstreet is by far the best experience we have had for pediatric care. All of the staff are friendly, hard-working, and thorough. There is a reason why Mainstreet Pediatrics has 5 stars all around, in a sea of Pediatric practices that have an average of 2.5 Yelp ratings. In short, Mainstreet is one of a kind, and is the ABSOLUTE best Pediatric practice I have ever come across.. if you have any doubts about switching or giving Mainstreet a chance, here is my suggestion: CALL THEM :) I will save you lots of heartache wasting your time at another Pediatric practice - your children deserve the ABSOLUTE best, and in my extensive research and experiences, Mainstreet is that. They are the BEST. Learn from my experiences below, save yourself the drama and years of feeling unhappy with going to a different provider... just go to Mainstreet :). You are free to read why Mainstreet is the best below, or you can stop after reading this paragraph :) I recently switched from a provider that was 'old-school' and 'my way or the highway' (BTW 99.9% of providers are like this in Colorado), and found Mainstreet on 11/5/2020. My experience with the old provider was awful, and truly I was never happy with them from the getgo but felt it was more painful to switch in the 4 years I've known them, so I stuck around until they made me cry (long story) and was forced to look elsewhere.. Going from such an average provider to Mainstreet, the differences were so stark: 1. THE PEOPLE: Oh my goodness. The front desk staff (the ones I've come across at the other provider needed a hug they were always overworked and rather unpleasant) are SO helpful and quick to reply to my texts: they even followed up two days on Monday to see how my children were doing after we saw them on a Saturday. And let's talk about the providers: they are the SMARTEST and attentive. Usually smart people are not nice people... let's be honest, you know what I'm talking about. But these Mainstreet providers are both incredibly smart AND kind. But my favorite thing about them (and I've seen 2 so far, and interacted with one oncall provider so 3 total) is that every single one are so compassionate, kind and caring. I can tell that they genuinely want to help my family, and do not have an ego despite their success. I come from a family of MD's so I get it: the medical community can become jaded from seeing things or needing to have a chock full schedule to make any profit... but I'm telling you, Mainstreet providers DO care. 2. I don't have to wait for a nurse to call me back (usually hours) if I have a question, at Mainstreet I can text 24/7 (yes I texted them at 9p and the oncall Doctor was messaging me through a secure portal). I understand that this is common in Colorado, but at Mainstreet you are a priority and they do their best to get back to you within 15 mins or less (this is my experience). 3. I can text them with any questions - I'm a big texter, and I've only spoken to them on the phone a few times but it's been amazing for me to text: to set apptmts, to confirm test results, to communicate with the Dr., ask questions about medication 4. They provide home visits, telehealth and in office visits: my whole family was really sick two weeks ago and we did a telehealth visit in the parking lot (facetime) then the Dr. came out to check out my kiddo's ears as they had ear infections. Then we did covid tests - this was ALL out in the parking lot. This is remarkable - at my other provider, we would have had to wait (most likely they were running behind) for the kid's apptmt IN the office, which with two kids under 4 it is challenging.. and COVID tests done right there (for myself too)? Trying to schedule a COVID test takes literally 5 days at the earliest, I did it the same day and got my results within 2 days. 5. We had the opportunity to go to the office last week - it is EVERY human's happy place. Not just your children's! They have a tv in every room, a beautiful fish tank, multiple toys, seating for small children... it is a HAPPY place! The room we were taken into was very efficient: everything you needed was in the room (my daughter had to be taken outside to weigh on the big kids scale). I had to change my 10 mo old's diaper and they had DIAPERS AND WIPES FOR HIM. WHAT? This part almost made me cry - they try to make it easy for caregivers and have thought of everything... how thoughtful. how KIND! 6. My 3.5 year old has suffered from chronic ear infections, she had 3 Dec 2019, Feb 2020, March 2020: the old pediatric group didn't even suggest ear tubes (the main thing they look for is resistance to antibiotics OR 3 ear infections in a 6 mo period). They let my daughter's care slip through the cracks, and I had given birth to my 2nd on Dec 2019, so wasn't able to connect the dots. My daughter went to Mainstreet Pediatrics for another ear infection, and after being resistant to Augmentin and listening to me rattle off the number of ear infections she's had, they were a) VERY sympathetic and b) said, Mama, it's time for ear tubes. I was so happy to hear that.......!!!! read more

Due to a move and change in insurance, my 1.5 year old has had 3 pediatricians. Dr. Phipps is by far our favorite. The entire staff was so kind and patient with my daughter, who was extremely wary of doctors after having extensive allergy skin tests elsewhere. The entire staff gave my daughter time to play and get to know them before doing anything - we didn't even have to ask. They could just tell she needed it. As mom of kids ranging from 3 to 23 years old, several with complex medical needs, finding Dr Lori and Mainstreet Pediatrics has been lifesaving. Her knowledge of neuro typically developing children and also those with special developmental and medical needs has been a huge part of keeping my kids at home and out of hospital more times than I can count. Dr. Lori is always available to talk, text, see my kids via telehealth, and often comes to my home in order to ensure my kids are stable during sickness. Dr. Lori has a great knowledge of many things traditional pediatricians do not understand/manage such as invasive ventilation, g-tube feeding, complex nutrition, durable medical equipment, complicated lab draws, wound care, and assisting with comprehensive documentation for Medicaid waivers. Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, Mainstreet pediatrics has been completely engaged and informed with new information and protocols along with gaining access to both lab and rapid COVID tests. They do have a few good doctors, Lauren Tomlinson being the best! BUT...... here's the catch! You get put in a very hot room for way to long. I have never been in and out in less than an hour. Doesn't matter if my children or melting or not. The rooms are so hot and everyone is slow and almost everyone has a bad attitude. Besides Lauren who is always sweet and joyful. But here's the worst thing!! They will scam you out of so much money!!! this is not an ethical practice what so ever. They care more about money then actually doing the right thing and taking care of your children!! If you come for your child's routine check up, they say do you have any concerns about your child. If you say anything that isn't on their routine check list they will charge you a whole new visit fee. So what you think is covered isn't covered! And they will just piggy back charges on that one appointment. I went in for a referral which should be free. But then they asked another question which led to a small conversation and then I was charged over 100 dollars for that conversation. Because it was considered a separate visit. So pretty much don't ask question about your kids and be careful or starting new conversations, because it's not your children they care about it's your money!! But on a plus. The office is very cute and well decorated. Which much be where all our money goes!! this is definitely not a place I would recommend. I would stick then an ethical practice that actually cares about your kids!! I don't usually feel this strongly about a business, but they are horrible. And because I fought ridiculous charges they dismissed me from their practice! read more

I called in hopes of making a same day appointment for my 8 year old who has a rash that spread overnight since they had great reviews. First time I called I was placed on hold for 13 minutes without anyone apologizing for the wait during that time. Second time I called the receptionist was very rude. When asking if it was possible to get a same day appointment because there was a sense of urgency, she said I would have to call my insurance to see if they would cover the visit. I stated we had Cigna, so I'm sure they would. However, she should be able to look up our plan to see if it's accepted. She then said I had to register online, which I agreed to doing, but I needed to know if there were any openings for a new patient that was same day to save time since this was urgent. I'm a very rude tone she said, "Again, you have to call your insurance company and register first before I can tell you if there is an opening!" My issue with this is that I told her several times that the rash seemed to be getting worse, so I needed to know if they could even see him before spending a lot of time on this. Finally after going back and forth with her, she said they don't even see new patients same day. Very frustrating since that was what I was asking her the whole time! My son was sick on Saturday and I had a good feeling that he had another sinus infection. I decided to try out telemedicine as I live somewhat far away. The app was easy to use and download. I quickly put in my son's info and symptoms. I got a text message saying Dr. Lorri was ready to see me. It is basically like face time. I took some pictures of my sons throat and was able to upload the photos for her to review. It was quick and easy about 15 minutes. The sign up took about 5 minutes. Dr. Lorri was able to send his prescription to my pharmacy virtually. I would recommend this service for parents who want to see the doctor but don't want to wait in the office or who have other things scheduled for the day. It felt like a small hiccup in the day rather than taking up the whole morning. This is awesome! read more

After trying so many pediatricians in the area (Parker, Lone Tree, Greenwood Village and Centennial) with great ratings and even recommendations, I never found one that truly impressed me or I felt like they provided any special knowledge or service. Well, today I tried a brand new to me pediatric office because my son and daughter both got very sick and I couldn't get in anywhere else. I was blown away! I was in complete shock of how pleasant my and my kiddo's experience was there! We went to Mainstreet Pediatrics for the first time ever! First of all, it was very easy to get an appointment on a Saturday for my very sick daughter who needed steroids for croup. When I walked in, I was instantly greeted by the doctor's husband and he offered for me to sit down while he writes all of my information down for me since I was holding my daughter. He even asked how I was doing and offered me water or coffee. Considering I spent a night in ER with my son, I really appreciated his kindness. I have NEVER experienced that quality of service in ANY doctor's office. After a friendly chat and taking down mine and my kids' information, he told me about Dr. Phipps' impressive resume. She also happens to be his wife, so it is a family owned practice. Then Dr. Lorri Phipps came out herself. She is very sweet and knowledgable. She took my daughter's temperature and weighed her herself. My daughter loved her! She also answered all of my questions and at the end, gave me the medicine right there and then, so I did not have to drag my super sick poor baby to the pharmacy. It was an amazing experience! I should also add that the office was spotless clean and very modern and fun for kids! Multiple fishtanks were a great distraction for kiddos! This is not an advertisement of them, as I have no connection to their practice or them personally. YOU GUYS!!!!!!! I literally can not tell you how amazing Mainstreet Pediatrics is!!!!!! My daughter is 19 months old, and she has been going to Mainstreet Pediatrics since she was born, basically. And I will NOT go anywhere else. Even if I move hours away, I would still bring my daughter here. This office is owned by Lorri and Brian Phipps. Both served in the military and now run and operate a beautiful practice. When you walk in to the office, you see two salt water fish tanks and lots of activities for the kids to stay occupied until their appointment. You also will notice all the dog pictures and stuffed animals. I personally am a HUGE dog lover and a very proud owner to a 85 pound pit named Bruiser. But Lorri and Brian are massive dog lovers as well!!! Lorri has seen my daughter a handful of times and with her 32+ years of experience, I trust her recommendations, and I really trust her decision making and what is best for my daughter. Even when I am not seeing Lorri, she still makes it a point to come and pop her head in just to acknowledge me and my daughter! Megan who has also seen my daughter a few times is also a mom, a dog mom and a wife! She is so knowledgeable and really connects with my daughter! Must be something about her sweet voice and nurturing care that my daughter just loves! She is FAB! Brooke has also seen my daughter and never have I ever seen a provider interact with kids, my child and myself the way she does. She is always so welcoming and so excited to see all of her kids when they come into the office! Lauren has seen my daughter a couple times and I think maybe once or twice via telehealth! She is so compassionate and can truly turn sadness into happiness! She is a provider at the office who is able to not only see babies, infants, toddlers, adolescents, BUT! also adults! She has cared for myself and got my back on the road to recovery! Safe to say, if you haven't already noticed, but we are frequent flyers in this office. And the one main reason we continue to keep coming here, is the COMPASSION these providers show to not only myself and my daughter, but every patients. You are not just another body in the office. You actually matter. And they actually listen to your questions and concerns. Mainstreet Pediatrics also offers telehealth appointments, AND! They also make house calls!!! WHAT?!! Do you know how awesome that is? That I can stay in my jammies, continue to work, and my daughters providers come to our home?!! WINNING!!!!
