Caitlin did a great job at first trying to think through the cause and when she couldn't figure it out, she didn't just suggest but told me to move on and force my son to go to school and ignore his pain. We decided to pursue some other avenues and needed a 2nd opinion. We went to Dr Bouzarelos who helped me think through some options. Under the notes, I saw Caitlin tell an admin that a 2nd opinion completely undermines the patient-doctor relationship. Once she heard I saw Dr. Bouzarelos, she called me at work to re-enforce her thoughts. I called the office and asked to switch our primary care physician which Caitlin wouldn't allow. She said that if I wanted to switch, I don't believe in their practice and I was not allowed to see anyone in their practice. I was left without a primary doctor overnight in the middle of a medical emergency. Fortunately, Partners in Pediatrics understood my emergency and got me in right away. They encourage 2nd opinions and would love to hear if I have any other ideas. My son's chest pain has been resolved and we continue to partner on his care. I hope the more senior physicians at 5280 learn from this review and coach the newer doctors. A few other things: I know Caitlin only worked a couple of days a week. Since they won't collaborate across physicians, I often had to wait several days to get any answers back. The front office can be pretty difficult. None of this really mattered to me until I was in a true emergency. I suggest finding a great pediatrician because when your child is chronically sick, it can be very difficult to manage.

We've seen several of the doctors especially since my daughter was born premature so we were in there quite a bit. I've liked every doctor we've seen. They all take time to actually talk to us about any questions or concerns we might have. I also like that they clearly read through her file before coming in the room. It's a pet peeve of mine to have to explain through something or answer questions on something they should know already.

A vaccine not approved for infants this young. This was after discussing and agreeing to a clear vaccine plan that included giving only 1 shot at a time so as not to overload his tiny body. I was not informed of this error for over a week and even then had to piece it together myself and could not get our doctor to call me back until she was back in the office. (She doesn't work Sat-Monday). When she finally did call us back, her apology seemed completely insincere. It was clear she seemed to think this was not a big deal. We have filed a medical board complaint for Dr. Bangs. Avoid this practice and these horrible nurses and doctors. They do not care about their patients and are unable to follow basic standards of care in the medical industry.

I have been a patient of Kenji Kaye since 2020. I started care with him for mental health…read moremedication management. To be transparent, I have a very severe case of Major Depressive Disorder and without medication I can become suicidal in the snap of a finger. Dr Kaye took me on as a patient knowing this and prescribed me 4 mental health medications without a dose change for over 2 years. Unfortunately, I became a victim of Dr. Kaye and UC Health this month. This month my mood stabilizer was requested for refill, and it was ignored for 2 weeks. I had to get an emergency supply from my pharmacy and still ran out for days before Dr Kaye sent in a prescription. After 3 days of being back on the mood stabilizer, it was time for a refill on 2 more of my medications. The request was ignored. 2 days after running out of my medication completely I was in crisis and I told my clinic that. They took this opportunity to call 3 officers to my house, told me that my behavior was unacceptable due to me being suicidal, and the office manager, Lauren, called me to fire me and let me know that my medications would not be refilled. She also cancelled my follow up with Dr Kaye via e-mail after that. To add insult to injury they called the police to my house twice, because I was having suicidal ideation due to not having my medications Dr Kaye refused to fill for me. Before this experience, I had never had suicidal ideation. I found out the next step is intent in this episode though at the hospital, and by the time you get there, you just kill yourself. It's not a big step either and this is exactly where Kenji Kaye and UC health, Lauren and "risk" put me. Dr Kaye wanted to see me die. That is the only explanation in this! Thankfully there are good doctors out there still that see the blatant abuse I was delivered, but it is not with this practice. Beware of this business if you want healthCARE. Yes, business, because no doctor that takes their Hippocratic oath seriously would do this to someone. A doctors job is quite literally to do no harm but you inflicted the greatest harm to me, and you could have robbed my family of me with your abuse and neglect of me as a patient. You put my life on the line. There is no world where this is ok. You are a disservice to healthcare.

Dr. Andy came to the hospital to meet my son, probably out of respect for Dr. Engel. I was a new mother, and my mother lives in NY. I cannot overstate the quality of the care that my children have received from Dr. Andy, his PA Beverly, and Greenwood Pediatrics. My son was quite small, 6 pounds 5.5 ounces. I'm tall, and his father is tall. So we all expected an 8-lb baby. Dr. Andy had me bring my son in for weight checks for a few weeks, until my son started gaining weight at a faster pace. He was in the 95th percentile for height, so the weight had to catch up. When my daughter was born, she was even smaller. I asked Dr. Andy if he wanted me to bring her in for weight checks, and he said, "Nah. You just have small babies." Turns out that baby weight is correlated to the mother's birth weight. I weighed 6 lbs 7 ounces. I would never have had 8-lb babies. There was a terrible incident where my son's diaper was filled with a bright green mess. I PANICKED, and called Greenwood after hours. Dr. Andy called me back, laughing, and asked me if he had had any blue ice cream at Cold Stone. Well, yes, he did. Problem solved :) We are fortunate that that our kids are healthy. Dr. Andy used to joke about how he almost never saw them, except for checkups. I told him that they ate a LOT of vegetables, and weren't allowed soda or junk food except on special occasions. He said, "H'mm." I like the fact that antibiotics are only prescribed when necessary, and never without the child being seen. Dr. Andy is a no-nonsense physician, and doesn't coddle children or their parents. My kids actually like seeing him, and Beverly :) This recent visit was for my daughter, now 19. I was THRILLED to learn that Greenwood will keep seeing patients up until age 26. I hated leaving my NYC pediatrician, Dr. Edward Davies, when I turned 18. I'm very grateful to have a pediatrician that we can trust implicitly. I wasn't sure about the HPV vaccines, but Dr. Andy recommended them, so the kids got them. And once there was a time when I was convinced that my infant son had some sort of very rare syndrome, which I based upon an ear crease. Dr. Andy rolled his eyes and pointed out that we would have seen enlarged organs on the ultrasounds. Well, yeah. I'm impressed that he knew about this rare syndrome right off the bat. And for new, inexperienced parents, the after-hours on call service is amazing. We rarely used it, but when we needed it, Greenwood was there. I will say that projectile vomiting is quite disturbing, but does not require ER visits. My babies are now healthy young adults, and I'm grateful to Dr. Andy, Beverly Garrison, and the rest of the team for their part in getting them here. I never had any problems with the front desk staff, except for one nurse who constantly mispronounced my son's first name, but whatever. He would correct her, and then next time...same mispronunciation. Weird. I like the fact that you never feel hustled at Greenwood. Yes, you might have to wait a bit to see the doctor or PA, but when it's your kid's turn, you will get the same level of care. Son had a motorcycle accident on a weekend, so I took him to Urgent Care and then to Dr. Andy on Monday. Dr. Andy examined him and also spoke about motorcycle safety. I appreciated that. Being a parent can be scary. Having excellent pediatric care is a saving grace.

The anesthesiologist Dr. Weddle came in and explained what she was going to be doing durning surgery. She was very explanatory and nice. She made sure I was comfortable until my room was ready. When I made it to my room Rielly was my nurse and they were getting ready for upcoming shift change. She was very nice and attentive. Later on that evening; I had David as a nurse and Nyosha as my CNA.. when I tell you they both went above and beyond with my care. I have no complaints. David was very chilled and laid back. I love how attentive to my pain and over care for getting better to be prepared for home. He said on schedule with my meds and helped manage my pain very well. I didn't have to call him for anything because he was already 2 steps ahead. Nyosha made sure I was very comfortable and had all that I needed.. she stayed on top of me staying hydrated and kept me comfortable. Erica from nutrition was amazing. They made sure everything was good and on time.. so my husband ordering a guest plate was more than enough. He loved all the dishes he ordered durning my stay. The staff was very polite and super friendly. When the shift came in the morning, I had Celine the nurse and Fudy was my CNA. They were a great team as well. They had taken care of all my needs durning the morning. I had to stay one more night just to be on the safe side. I had Angelina my nurse and Alexa was the CNA. They worked so well together. They made sure I was comfortable and managed my pain. I was have some abdominal cramping and Angelina bought me some heating packs. What a life saver. They felt so good and warm that it help my tummy. Housekeeping was great. She was very nice and sweet. She cleaned my room both times while I was there. This is the first time we have visited in years due to previous problems with a Patient Advocate. They have a security officer on staff. Apparently, you have to check with security even if blood is coming out of an orifice. Then the security officer said they need a sign to check in with security first. Yes, if we saw a sign, we would have. But being turned away from an urgent care right before, we had our minds on seeking medical attention at an emergency room. I tried to appease the officer by signing in. I then asked if I needed to sign in the other person. He said no, he was a patient. At this point, I wished we went to another facility. After a check in, a representative brought in an iPad on a moving table. She said someone would be helping us check in but don't touch anything until she appears on the screen. It reminded me a bit of that ER episode with Dr. Dubenko going around the ER as a robot. Past the security officer, the staff was fantastic. Maybe the security officers need to remember that most people who go to the emergency room are not looking for a security officer, but medical personnel.
