The pancake is huge, the hash-browns looked tasty, the eggs were fluffy, the bacon & sausage was delicious. I ordered the Biscuits & Gravy with the crumbled sausage in the gravy ($4 for crumbled sausage?!? Come on!) The meal was delicious I just think the prices are a tad crazy. The service is friendly but a tad slow. We had to wait for our server to stop chatting and laughing with coworkers to get our check. My father is elderly and has early on set dementia so when he's ready to go we're ready to go. Sitting and waiting for 15-20 minutes for the check isn't ideal. So he said we're gonna have to find another breakfast joint now. I'm giving the 4 stars because it's not the cooks fault. He made an excellent meal for us. The place is so cool and unique as well so that makes up for a lot. How many times are you gonna eat at a former gas station turned restaurant and bakery?!? He liked the flavor of the meat & said that the fries were crispy. I had chicken tenders with a baked potato. Everything tasted fresh and I enjoyed it. We felt that we'd made a good choice when stopping for lunch here. You can tell that the locals enjoy eating here, too.

The owner is an awesome guy, although I do feel sorry for him growing up in Detroit as a Lions Fan, =), but we had a great conversation on the current state of Football. Carroll's makes a great burger and the fries are fabulous (sorry--no picture of the burger because I devoured it right away!). My son's chicken nuggets were quite bland--good for kids but not too interesting to my palate. My husband's chicken fried steak sandwich was hearty but bland. He ordered it with tater tots which, like my burger, disappeared quickly. Stick to the name of the restaurant--order a burger!
