Cute little sandwich place. Limited seating inside and couple of tables outside. Stopped in while shopping in Sackets Harbor. As I walked in I was greeted nicely then felt rushed as person taking order spoke loudly what I wanted, pick choice of chips and drink. (I was the only one in the place). I placed my order, Ham Overboard panini which has ham off the bone, warmed Brie and honey mustard for 10.75. The sandwich didn't blow me away. It had 2 pieces of ham, 2 pieces of Brie which was not spread onto the sandwich... just place in 2 different spots so I did not get the Brie in every bite. I expected more filling. I'm not usually in the area, but probably will go back to this place to try something else. read more

Had not gotten brunch from the Sandwich Bar in a while, and grabbed brunch this morning and it was delicious! Called ahead and placed my order. Just had to wait about five minutes for it all to be ready. We tried the following: French Toast Bake-Absolutely amazing! Great flavor, and I highly recommended ordering this if it is on their brunch specials menu. Breakfast Monte Cristo Sandwich- my favorite sandwich and this one was delicious. No pic because I devoured my sandwich so fast. I had the Brie LT with turkey. It's served warm, perfect balance of everything and cranberry chutney. Yum! This is a great local shop, super friendly. I dislocated my hip earlier this summer so their online and phone orders have been clutch. I also had a bottled peach lemonade from their refrigerator case that was fantastic. Worth the drive if you want a fancy sandwich. Next time I go, I'll try to get a pic before I eat. read more

Sandwich was alright, not a $10 sandwich, but ok. ingredients were fairly fresh and tasty. Except for the tomatoes one of us got, not ripe and mealy, to top it off he specifically asked for no tomatoes. BTW "seasonal vegetables" on the harvester sandwich is just the toppings they have (still a decent selection), nothing else. Reason for two star review is that I accidentally dropped a drink that broke and was charged for it when I checked out. That really caught me off guard, especially since the person working (owner?) was kind of making fun of me about it, I usually see that as of it being not a big deal and "all good". So yeah, I was surprised when charged for that. Not a huge deal, but in principal it shows a real lack of customer service and appreciation. Very short sighted. I've seen people drop stuff like this in other restaurants and not get charged. Oh well for me, lesson learned for two bucks. For the sandwich bar, at least one customer lost over two bucks. Too bad, my extended family and I spend a lot of time in sackets in the summer, we were excited for another option. For the same price ($20 for a sandwich, a small bottle of water, one cold brew I got to drink and one I didn't) I could go over to tpg, have a better/larger lunch and as much coffee/water as I'd like. Good portion sizes of meats, a wide variety of interesting sandwiches and spreads (the cranberry relish is TDF). For those complaining about the price, you're paying the same for a sandwich at Panera without a second thought (and they throw in a side of chips too - you pay for that at Panera). Their Black Rifle coffee is one of the best brands of coffee I have ever had (and I drink a lot of coffee). A great addition to Sackets. read more

Today was an unplanned lunch out. We decided to stop here since they mentioned they had gluten free. Our daughter has celiac disease. To sum it up quickly it was great. She had a BLT on GF bread. We had their cordon blue and my wife had the Sacketts club. Both were delicious. The staff is excellent. Friendly and very aware of food allergies. We will definitely be back! read more

Ultra fresh ingredients (some even hyper local from the garden!), incredible delicious sandwich combinations in a wide array of options --something for everyone--, and fantastic breakfast meals offering both healthy or indulgent. We moved to Sackets from the West Coast in January and my partner who works from home quickly became a weekly regular for quick, fresh, delicious lunches and he's yet to be disappointed. As a more plant-forward (vegetarian/vegan) eater I was hesitant to go for a meal (I don't like to make chefs change their menus) and the owner Jamie didn't even blink an eye; she almost insisted I let her make me something. The food was great and fairly priced. I enjoy having breakfast and lunch there on occasion. To Alex who was upset over a hat that said Defend the Border, I think you are being unfair. Border Security matters. With over 100,000 fentanyl overdose deaths of Americans and with the DEA on record saying that at least 90% of that drug is smuggled across the border, we should defend the border. With a record number of young children and women being sex trafficked across the border, we should defend the border. Border Patrol has in the past two years arrested over 86000 convicted criminals coming across the border. Over 100 of them were convicted of a prior murder. Several thousand of them were convicted sex offenders. I am not saying they are all criminals but some are. They have also arrested over 270 people who were on the FBI Terror watch list. I found all these numbers on the Border Patrol website that the Biden Administration is reporting. The issue should not be political. It's about saving lives. Its sad that people attack without knowing the facts. No matter what your opinion is on immigration, its more about drugs, criminals and national security threats. I feel bad about those coming here for a better life but they are not the only thing coming across the border. For the safety and security of this great nation and the people who call this home; defending our border is important. We should know who and what is coming into this country. read more

We saw this place the other day driving through town and thought it looked like a cute place. We wanted to kill some time today while it was raining out and decided to go in for a sandwich. Well, the staff were friendly and the place looked immaculately clean. They have a number of different speciality sandwiches. I ordered Turkey and fresh mozzarella with pesto on a panini and it came with a bag of chips. My wife ordered a special grilled cheese (sorry, idk what was in it). After proceeding to our table our food was delivered quickly. The sandwich was fresh and warm and just tasted great. While at the counter we noticed some homemade brownie and chocolate chip cookies and couldn't resist! Glad we didn't! They were awesome! I definitely recommend. The Sandwich Shop. This an average sandwich place. I had a club sandwich &it was ordinary, although it had avocado. NO ONE wore masks, although they wore gloves. One of the sandwich makers came in from her car & she put on gloves but didn't wash her hands. Law or not, food preparers should wear masks & the staff was mostly young so I'm not sure they were vaccinated.
