Had a meal out on their beautiful deck but that's where the positives end. Waited 2 hours for our meals and when they finally arrived were missing our sides of fries which they "forgot to tell us" they were out of. One of our party's meal was completely forgotten and wasn't brought out until we had finished our meals. Overpriced for not-that-great food. Won't be returning. read more

I would give 4 1/2 stars if that was an option! Setting beautiful. Waitstaff fantastic- Jordan loved him. Cocktails - mules yummy. We had the crab roll and the chicken Oscar. Disorganized subpar service when we tried this place on a Saturday night in August. The bartender was waiting tables to help out. We thought that might give us access to some interesting cocktail recommendations but no, she really only knew the basics. As in, gin and tonic. The food was not memorable. Clearly they are struggling, as half the menu items were blacked out. The bakery bar items looked good but by then we were worn out from the effort of procuring dinner. New ownership has rolled out an impressive menu offering top-notch classics and delicious, more eclectic options. The crab bisque was creamy and delicious. The Cuban sliders were terrific and more than enough for two people to share as a light dinner -- beautiful sunset views right on the water. I highly recommend it. read more

Well where do I start...we went here for a nice family brunch and everything started fine. Our food came out and several items were cold but we didn't see the waitress for 10+ minutes after. We were upset about our cold meals but only told the server about Maddy's undercooked chicken wrap. The tortilla was undercooked and very doughy. The waitress said she would go talk to the kitchen but seemed very hesitant. The owner came out more than 5 minutes later and immediately was agreessive towards us before even hearing what was wrong. Maddy simply told her that the sandwich was undercooked and simply wanted it taken off the bill. (it was that terrible) The owner responded "its not my fault that you don't like it! You ordered it and it's not my problem! I made it and that's how it's supposed to be!" She then proceeded to toss the plate back on the table in front of Maddy nearly knocking her water and the food onto her lap causing her own eye glasses to fall of her face and onto the table. We are in complete shock that the owner of a local establishment would act like this towards customers! Never again would we step foot in this place and would highly recommend not wasting your time here either! The owner also yelled never to come back as she stormed back inside screaming! A different guy came back out nearly 5 minutes later to try to quell the situation! When we first said something to the waitress (who was very nice and attentive) she was very hesitant to resolve the simple issue leading us to believe that the owner clearly mistreats her employees and they are afraid to bring any complaints or concerns to her attention. read more

We went to have our anniversary dinner on a Tuesday evening at 5pm, once we went in the host went to seat us in the middle of the room. We wanted a water view and there were only two other tables seated, no wait and very, very slow. I asked the host if we can seat at the window seat and she said we can only sit in the waitresses section. I asked if she was serious and she replied yes. So we left. Can't tell you how disappointed we are. I would have understood this if they were busy, but with no one else in the restaurant the waitress could have walked the extra 10 feet to a water view table. I really like the barracks inn! Food is superb, but the wait staff is by far the best part. Dom, hideki, grace, John, and Matt are the best servers I have ever witnessed. My parents took my boyfriend and I out for a special meal while we were in town. They said they enjoyed it so much the first time that they wanted us to experience it. The setting was gorgeous with a nice waterfront view and beautiful decor. Our waiter was very nice but seemed inexperienced (didn't do well with keeping water glasses full/taking away used plates, etc). The garlic knots were tasty and served with a bland hummus. My parents meals were very good- they had the French onion penne pasta and roasted chicken. My boyfriend and I both had the salmon which came out very dry. We asked for our meals to be taken back due to the dryness. I didn't feel like waiting for a replacement and chose to eat some of my moms chicken. The sides were tiny- literally less than a cup of salad and steamed vegetables for my original plate. The replacement salmon was good but slightly under-done. We were billed for both salmon dinners so we requested a credit on mine - the waiter reported he spoke to the owner/chef who said she tasted the salmon and there wasn't anything wrong with it so we were only being credited with one drink (less than 1/2 the price of the salmon dinner). Unfortunately the unpleasantness at the end of the meal spoiled it more than the dry salmon. read more

We had three different servers attending our table, and each checked in more than once to assure us that our food was coming "soon," so it seems to be a problem with the kitchen more than the wait staff. When our order finally came, we both enjoyed our salads with grilled chicken, so no complaints there.
