I have found many good items in this store. The staff are friendly and very helpful when we donated items. Furniture was selling so fast I noticed the coffee table I donated was taken the next day! Plus you can't beat their prices! A must recommend. read more

This was stop #2 on our Thrift Store Tour of Spokane. They actually have two different spaces--the one in front is your standard thrift store. The back door, however, leads you to the premium goods: crystal stemware, formal dresses, kids toys, and so on. Prices there were a bit high, so we did most of our shopping in the regular area. They were having sales on certain tag colors, plus when you went to pay they drew out a bingo number, and whatever number you got was the percentage off the total purchase! My sister got 64%! Totally sweet. They had something I've never seen in a thrift store before--a silent auction case. Using some complex algorithm kept secret from the general public, they choose some items to be put into a glass case and numbered. If you want one of the items, you go ask the cashier for 'the book' and write down your bid. A month later, it could be yours! Sadly, since I knew I wouldn't be back any time soon, I didn't place a bid on anything. Guess someone else will be the winner of that weird figurine. read more

I have deep roots with the army and unfortunately not impressed with this thrift store front. It's not terrible and the staff is helpful generally speaking, but what they have in stock and what they charge for is significant enough to notice from this thrift store to UGM or Value Village, the later two being better than Salvation Army in selection and price. read more

I've always had excellent customer service here! There are regular staff people here and temporary who are in training. If an item doesn't have a tag it's usually because it's fallen or been taken off. Staff handles that situation the same way with everyone. I usually find general clothing (t-shirts, jeans) and misc. items here that I need. I am grateful this store is here. Especially for those of us who can only afford the .25 cent sale items. Thank you to Salvation Army and the staff on N. Division, for all the good you do. read more

I actually love this thrift shop compared to most of the others in town. I leave all the time with way more than I intended. They are all generally helpful here and have a lot of good items. I typically can find the best "dress" clothes here out of the other stores if looking for nice mens or womans dress shirts relatively cheap. This place doesn't have a good selection of womans swim or dresses so if looking for those, may want to head elsewhere but for day to day clothes, you won't be disappointed, especially if on a budget. read more

Customer service was awful. I wanted to buy a butter holder. Because there was no price tag on it they would not sell it to me. Not a big deal except there were no signs around the store saying that. There was one, that was at the front counter, and customers could hardly read that because the paper was red, and it was way behind the cashier. She had to walk to it to show me the sign. Please be batter at posting signs, thanks! read more

If you want to pop some tags and only have $20 in your pocket then I suggest you go there on a Thursday because you can find things for a quarter if you are looking at the right tags. If you are looking for your grandpas style then you are sure to find it here. I don't know much about wearing the fur fox skin, but I do know that this thrift shop is the place to get good deals. read more

I contacted the Salvation Army around the 10th of October to advise them that the company I work for wanted to adopt a large family for Christmas. Not only for Christmas, but if we had a family early enough, we would also provide Thanksgiving dinner for them. It is now November 17th and we STILL don't have the name of a needy family and their "wish list"!! I have heard promise after promise that someone will be in touch with me, and NOTHING!!! Oh sure, I call, it's all flowers and apologies however, WE STILL DON'T HAVE A FAMILY!!! Surely there are needy families in Spokane! I mean, I see enough disadvantaged people standing on the street corners!! There must be families that need help. Who does "Toys for Tots" help? Adults? Disgraceful! read more

Super cheap! 25 cent items on Saturday with rotating tag colors. What you'd expect from a Salvation Army thrift store as far as cleanliness and employees helpfulness. The regular price of all items are at least 50-70% off the regular prices of comparable items at the Salvation Army stores in Portland and Vancouver WA area. Behind this store we could see three very large (must have been 100 units or more each) dorm style housing units with the Salvation Army logo on each. You can really see that by shopping here you are supporting local people in need. Love the mission of this organization! read more

Valley Salvation Army Thrift Store: I am a regular customer and I went in last week and saw a beautiful Nativity scene. I noticed it because mine was destroyed. I asked about it and said I would pay 100 for this beautiful piece and I talked to 4 employees and they said no they couldn't sell it. The same day they had sold it to one of there friends, that is a regular customer for 25.00, It is now on Craigslist for 200.00. These people know me, I'm in there all the time. How unfair is this and for a Christian organization it's dishonest for any business to do this. read more
