I received a discount for doing that and I'm also a senior citizen and I got a discount for that also. They had a lot of items in their store also at a discount price. I paid under $40 for everything I bought. It all looked brand new.. Their displays were great. They must go through all their clothes because there wasn't one shirt or anything else that I looked at that was dirty or torn. So for all you thrifty people stop in and take a look and see what they have. I grant you that you will not leave their empty-handed. Enjoy.

I recently purchased a set…read moreof bowls and the cashier told us that they were going to price them at 4.99 until she told them to increase the price to 12.99. Why would you tell the customer that you decided to raise the price of the item you are buying? They used to sell Tupperware at a decent price but now they seem to think that Tupperware is extremely rare. If you see the older man with the cart full of stuff during the day, I would not suggest looking through the card while he is stocking. He becomes very rude if you do that.

My reason to keep going? Sunday. They make a new color tag 50% off. I'm there like white on rice on Sundays! That's when you get some great deals! I love looking through their books. That's where they shine. I've found some excellent coffee table books for $2.00! It's worth a trip there when they get this week's tag down to 75% off. Once in a while, I get a sweet deal. I of course told him light details about the incident, at this time he asked if he could pray for me. This was unexpected and refreshing, to have someone take a moment and show true care for my situation! I really appreciated this young man and think it speaks volumes for the Christian thrift store and the people they employ! If I were to say only one thing, that would be that some of the prices are a little lofty and although they are negotiable, they may act as a detergent for less hardy bargainers than my mom.
