this is a bit of a dive bar but is seriously so much fun. their food is decent and they have a lot of menu items. i ordered a chicken wrap and fries and it was the perfect meal before a long night of drinks haha. the drinks are good just a little expensive. however the best part about this place is the karaoke on friday and saturday nights. our group had a blast singing along all night and the DJ was extremely inclusive and kept the crowd involved all night. overall a lot of fun! read more

Wanted to attempt playing trivia here on Wednesday night. Our party arrived before 7 pm to a packed establishment. Great, sitting at a table of 4 with a 5 th chair added , up in the front portion of the bar area. 3 waitress working, maybe 1 bartender & maybe 1 manager( not sure) 15 minutes, no one approached the table, 1 of our party goes to the to the bar to open a tab and gets a round of drinks. The trivia is sad to say the least! You can't hear the questions, good thing you can read them on your phone, by the 6th question a waitress was finally flagged down and menus were given to us; the special was told to us and we were also informed the owners were on a well deserved vacation. That she would be back in 2 minutes... which turned in to 10,-by this time we were cashing out our tab at the bar and moving on. More attention was given to us leaving saying how sorry they were and to please come back or try them on another night; specifically not a Wednesday! Not sure another night would improve the lack of service. The table next to us said they had waited 45 minutes to receive their order. Too bad! I was told they have really good burgers, well we went and had good burgers at The Tap House!. read more

Food is good, your regular dependable bar-type food. I don't dream about it when I'm not there, BUT Physic Suzanna makes appearances there twice a month so I'm there at least once a month! Wait staff isn't always the fastest, or so great about visiting your table when you are out of 1) soda, 2) beer, etc. but all have been nice. I have wondered if they run a bit short on staffing, actually. Tried their tacos on a taco night, basically just a hard shell taco, nothing out of this world. It's a fun, rowdy place with a neighborhood bar kinda vibe, to be sure. read more

I had an amazing time at the rusty nail. I went to have dinner with some family. The waitress was really good and greeted us immediately. I had the chicken tenders and they were awesome. The honey mustard dipping sauce was great also. The prices were reasonable and the place was perfect. I highly recommend going to this place. read more

Ok, first some background. I used to go the Rusty Nail for dinner all the time with my parents when I was 12 or 13. Fast Forward 15 years and I find out that my high school reunion was being held here. I wasn't sure what I was going to find after being away for so long. Honestly, other than some flat screen TVs nothing had changed one bit. It is definitely more of a hole in the wall, mostly regular customers, kind of a place. I didnt get a chance to look at the menu as we had more of a buffet set up (but it was good) and the beer was nice and cold. That area of town does have a lack of good bars and so I am not surprised that the Rusty Nail is still around. PS. Make sure to ask the bartenders about the ghost that haunts the building. read more

After years of driving by this place and wondering what it was like, I finally made the decision to drop-in for a few drinks and dinner. I wasn't real sure what to expect after reading a pretty bad review on Hit That Dive, however, the reviews on Yelp state a different story. Inside, the place is pretty much what you would expect. Wood paneling, stone walls, and dark. I was impressed by the number of televisions including some at the booths. Not bad for a place that doesn't bill itself as a sports bar. The veranda outside was pretty cool and definitely unique for this part of town. It even had heat lamps. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Fortunately for us, it was $6 burger night. The food took a while but it may have been because the place was pretty full. The burger itself was pretty good but not great. The fries were hand-cut and were great. Overall, I would say that the food was above average bar food. The draft beer selection was lacking but they did have a Boulevard Wheat and a Rusty Nail Porter brewed by Empyrean so it wasn't all bad. I am planning to make the Rusty Nail a part of my monthly rotation. If you're in West Omaha and you're looking for something a little different and perhaps better than most of the Millard bars, I recommend giving this place a try. read more

The food is great. Wait staff goes the "extra mile" to take care of guests. Have eaten there many times and have never been disappointed especially with the Rust Nail burgers. Fantastic! One thing you must consider though;if you order the pork ternderloin sandwich make sure you have big appetite. It not only tastes great but it is big! read more

First time visitor to the Rusty Nail, evening out with friends for karaoke (no, I didn't sing). I liked the place: plenty of room, excellent service, reasonably priced drinks. Didn't order food on this visit, but will probably return to do so another time. It is a little divey, but I like that -- felt right at home. Went here for a friend's birthday. It was a Saturday evening - so my fiance and I got the Prime Rib special. Oh my gosh. It was SO good! The quality of the Prime Rib was superb. We ordered ours medium rare and it came out perfect. So juicy and tender. The mashed potatoes are REAL CHUNKY MASHED POTATOES. The gravy was amazing - a hearty beef gravy. Even the green beans were delicious! They were nice and buttery and flavorful. We had side salads as well. The ranch is what I like to call "good" ranch - not that bottled buttermilk cheap junk. The atmosphere - well, it's a sports bar. It eventually got kind of loud and what-not but it wasn't unpleasant by any means. It's clean and roomy. The waiter did an awesome job considering we had a party of about 25 and he was very friendly. The prices were great given the quality and portion sizes. Most everyone in our party ordered the Prime Rib. A couple ordered nachos as appetizers. Those looked good and they said they were good and the portion size was HUGE! It could easily feed 4 people. Someone else got the Ruben and I think I will have to try that the next time we go there. It was packed full of meat and looked so good. We will DEFINITELY be returning when we're hungry for some Prime Rib and I definitely recommend this place. read more

So The Rusty Nail for me used to be a neighborhood dive, but i feel like its becoming more than that hole in the wall. It is under new management and i feel the new owner is definitely heading in the right direction. It takes a lot of work to undo several years of bad service but great service and a good food menu is an awesome start. Every time i hit this spot, i am blown away by the little improvements and the delicious foods that come out of its kitchen. The Philly cheese steak Sandwich is my personal house favorite, but last Saturday when i popped in i was glad to meet the new owner who was doing a walk through meet and great with his patrons and some how we got into a food conversation, the next think i knew there was a plate of smoked barbecue ribs sitting in front of me waiting to be sampled which right now are my best in town. This is that kind of place. They are not your best bar in town, but they are doing the best they can to be that bar and to me that is all that matters, feeling valued at an establishment where i choose to spend my money. Yay! I ate at the Rusty Nail for the first time today, and I am a believer. I had never been there and had barely heard of it (although I had driven by and seen the sign a few times) and I could not be any happier that we ventured in. The portions are more than generous and on the weekend they have FANTASTIC prime rib. I am talking some of the best prime rib I've had in a looooong time. We also got an order of the nachos and they were also good (nothing fancy, but they use the melted stadium cheese and tossed on some jalapenos, so I thoroughly enjoyed them). I only decided to stop in because I had a gift certificate, but will go back because of the friendly staff (our waitress Carla was great and the bartender working was super friendly), the affordable drink specials, and the delicious food. I can't wait to go back and try something different (or just get their prime rib again). We will definitely add the Rusty Nail into our restaurant rotation. read more

A great candidate for Bar Rescue... nothing good here folks, dirty restaurant, rude staff and warm beer. I was hoping to walk into a neat little neighborhood bar, but was unpleasantly surprised. This place is very dirty, tables are sticky, floor is gross.. I would be scared to look in the kitchen. The wait staff and cooks were doing shots and carrying on at the bar. The manager seemed strangely comfortable with their miniature bacchanalia. took 30 minutes for the wait staff to even acknowledge my table.. normally would cut them some slack but we were the third table in the whole restaurant. Sitting here at the Rusty Nail wondering why I ordered the prime sandwich. Let me start. Have you every bought one of those frozen pieces of vacuum packed prime rib thinking it was going to be awesome? Well this is what's being served at the Nail. Put it on a piece of Texas toast and cover it with brown gravy from a can. WOW really? Brown gravy on a piece of prime? If you order this sandwich, order it without the gravy and substitute the mashed potatoes that come with it with their fries. As I try to finish my food by taking the prime from the toast and scraping the gravy off of it, I see a nice looking hamburger come by on the tray. Man I wished I ordered that, maybe next time? 3 stars for the fries, at least I'm not leaving hungry. read more

The food here is just ok - IF you can get it served to you before it is completely cold, which hasn't been my experience the last 2 times I've been there. Tonight after ordering, waiting 20 minutes, and then asking where our food was we finally received it in this order - cold entrees, then our salads, then silverware, then salt & pepper (after we asked for it - shouldn't this be on the table?), then the au jus that came with one of our meals. Then when the waitress brought our tab she dropped it on the floor and walked off and left it. So I won't be going back. But my dinner companion is a regular there - all the waitresses know him. And this is still the best they could do. This place sucks. If you want to get mediocre food, go to McDonald's. The service there is better and the food is just as good. read more

It is unfortunate that I'm not able to give this establishment a good review, and it is solely based on the experience I had with the management. I booked the Rusty Nail for a birthday party and while the food was passable and the waitstaff impeccable, I ran into extreme difficulties afterwards in attempting to asking questions of the owner. He was rude, unprofessional, and at one point threatened me me with legal action. I do not recommend using this establishment for catering or any large party. read more

Had to ask for service. My bottles beer was skunked, the bod was just about 2 months old. asked for a new one and the waitress was rude about it and said they rotate the beer out every week. So why was the bod almost 2 months old? She brought a new bottle put. Same story. Was charged both beers I didn't drink. Not going back. read more
