Food could be better. But what do you expect with a buffet. It also wasn't the cleanest place I go to. Wouldn't go back.

Charge 18% gratuity for buffet. Got drinks late and only came by a few times to check on us.

What a fabulous dining experience we had at this precious old Victorian design 3 story home in…read moreSwainsboro, GA. Beautiful wrap around porch with plenty of chairs, swings and benches to enjoy sitting outside and just chill before or after you eat. Enormous southern themed buffet with huge salad bar and equally giant food bar. Today there was fried chicken, pork steak cutlets, and fresh fish along with another dozen or so favorites like mac-n-cheese, sweet potato casserole, and green beens. The service was great and each dining room had comfortable padded chairs with lovely solid dark hardwood tables. We loved everything we tried, and we most definitely will go back again soon. Even had a cute gift shop with local syrup, honey and artsy crafts.

The restaurant is in a big beautiful home, we came in through the back door which was near where we parked and there is a huge hallway from the front to back of the building and that's where the huge buffet is located. All the tables are set up in the adjoining rooms and they are all gorgeously decorated. The buffet was delicious, so many things to pick from and I was in my southern roots glory!!! I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come again if I get the chance!!

Just walk in, immediately start grazing, AND save some money (decent plate of food, especially for lunch, is often less than $10). Bonus: One can, by being judiciously selective, eat nutritiously -- stick to the fresh green beans and other veg-based dishes, though sure, all restaurants "cheat" by top-loading their stuff with extra fat and salt. I've been eating at Peking Super Chinese Buffet for about 10 years and it's always consistently good quality for the price. I've been to better (larger selection of food, plus a soft ice cream machine), but they also cost more, and Peking is reliable for quality and freshness. Peking's atmosphere? Meh. But who goes to a chinese buffet for atmosphere? You're there to chow down, then leave. I mean, it's OK. Also, I'm a big guy who sweats a lot, so I do wish they'd crank up the A-C during the endless summer down here in South Georgia. Overall, then, I give it 4 out of 5 stars - and I'm a tough grader. What gets me to 5 stars? Ditch the dixie cups and invest in a soft ice cream machine. That adds such a kick to the dessert experience. Also, crank the A-C. Finally, advertise "senior discount" to increase customer traffic. That 10% sticks in the mind. And you wanna give us seniors an excuse to indulge (yes, we're all on restricted diets), right? I didn't know about that discount until I happened to ask for it when I ate there yesterday (wonderful fresh green beans btw!).
