If I could rate a negative I would. The locals may not care but the food is open a can, heat it up and serve. No seasoning. Mystery meat and nothing is labeled to tell you what you're eating. Desserts are a joke. I'm in the business and usually just ignore horrible experiences, however, the cashier who had no personality never said thank you. Just wanted to know how many guests, card or cash and did I want to add a tip. This is what really pissed me off they charge a ridiculous service charge for using a debit card. Think it was like 8 percent. NO Business is charged that much. All the way around a rip off. Waitress was nice that's the only positive. Will never return read more

Amazzzong !! five star service very clean and the salmon salad is just amazing! Not very often that I write and rave about salads but this one was amazing. We actually had another one for our dessert. It comes with super foods in it like berries and sunflower seeds it's just a small very clean place on the corner and you can eat outside and you can take your dog with you if you like! Unfortunately, I forgot the name of our server. I want to say maybe Taylor? But she and Everette everybody and everything was five stars all the way! read more

Great fried chicken (other meats as well) & southern cooked veggies & dressing. Terrific salad bar & good variety of desserts including peach cobbler, banana pudding, coconut pudding, cakes & pies! Stopped in here because I was already in Eastman and wanted to eat somewhere I hadn't eaten before. It's an excellent southern food buffet. I went with green beans, brussel sprouts, collards, friend chicken, and biscuits. The fried chicken was great: had plenty of flavor and not too salty. The green beans and collards were absolutely delicious. The brussel sprouts were a bit softer than I'd like: I understand that some of that was the effect of sitting under a lamp, but I figure that to compensate they should initially be cooked to be just a little bit crisp so that the time under the lamp doesn't make them too soft. The biscuits were also great. I always appreciate biscuits that can stay soft while under a heat lamp (especially because I am a bad southerner and don't have them with gravy). So this gets props from me. There wasn't any fried shrimp out this time (which I'd been looking forward to from another review), but that just gives me an excuse to come back again. read more

Super Sunday brunch. No wait with tons of seating. Great value. Fried chicken and sides were excellent. We will definitely go back.

Stumbled across this gem on a Sunday road trip. The buffet was glorious-everything you could want in a true Southern meal. The owners, staff, and locals were all as friendly as could be, and the price was ridiculously low. We may have to drive through Eastman again just to eat here again! read more

It's a buffet-the fried chicken was fantastic and the shrimp was really good. I didn't expect (1) Shrimp or (2) The shrimp to be properly cooked. Most buffet shrimp is pretty much rubber. Service was friendly. Obviously a popular place but seating was plentiful and the line moves fast. read more

Sidetrack Cafe on Main Street in Eastman is such a wonderful place to eat! It is a buffet style restaurant ! They have so much to choose from Great veggies, meats galore, on Wednesday and Friday is fish day and the cooks really no how to cook them. Of course if you are not a fish eater that's ok because they always have wonderful fried chicken and baked chicken. Also on Wednesday they have fried and broiled shrimp um yummy, They have a full salad bar and great deserts and the drink is included! OMG it is the best and all for $8.00 a person! We usually go on Sunday's at lunch. They are always very busy, but have plenty of food. The buffet has plenty of options for your meal & also many desserts. Even though it stays busy, the staff is very efficient. They make sure you have enough to drink & take the empty plates out of the way. I have not been disappointed. read more
