Lucky for me, this spot is truly a consignment gem. Don't judge a book by its cover, the interior of this place is pretty sizable, and bonus, the prices are pretty solid. Additionally, the quality of their furniture is great. It is quite literally everywhere you look. Light fixtures are hung above your head, seating options are displayed everywhere and art paints the walls. Headboards, tables, unique seating, prints, patio furniture, and even jewelry, they have quite a selection. That being said, the only feedback I'd have is better attention to customer service. I think I was acknowledged once, if that. That acknowledgement was a glance, and a response to my "good morning". I'd love to be welcomed into the store, a nice hello, and a check in while shopping, but everyone has off days and it's possible that I experienced a one off. Given the stacked furniture, I think they've outgrown their current warehouse space, which is not their fault, but it can make it a bit difficult to see and appreciate all of their offerings. I can't wait for them to expand to a larger space, but for now, I'm very happy that they're part of the neighborhood.

Now that Pier One is dead and gone, the lack of competition seems to have lowered their standards and increase their prices. I went on Feb. 26 with a group of ladies I met through Bumble BFF. I'm excited to go back and make The Rustic Brush a regular outing! The Rustic Brush's wood signs are easier to incorporate into my home decoration because I can customize so many aspects of it. From the arrangement of the wood, stain, stencil, and a very good paint selection, each project comes out unique even if it was modeled after a sample project. I think this is a good project for beginners to those more advanced. I'm already an arts and crafts enthusiast and can do most things at home. However I find it beneficial to go out to DIY studios because: 1) There's always something new to learn or re-learn. For example: Sandi showed me a much easier way to peel back the stencil backing. 2) I sometimes get too tired after doing the prep work of a project. Here, I get to dive into the fun parts. I even found the hammering oddly therapeutic. 3) I feel more motivated when other people around me are also crafting. Creative energy! 4) Minimal to no clean up. No leftover stuff to store and take up space. 5) When I've hosted crafting days before, I have to split my time being a host/helper and working on my own project. Ana (our assistant) was able to help my friend who needed more guidance. I really got to work on my own project this time. Cost-wise, I felt this is worth every penny. My coworkers selected this as the venue for team building. Me being the only male in the group, went to yelp first and checked it out. Plenty of wonderful photos and excellent reviews. I signed up and selected the medium size frame. Put my words that I wanted and paid in advance. The website is pretty easy to navigate and I located something that was neutral. Overall: there are many to select from with a substantial number being holiday themed. Arrived on time and all the items we payed out. We had a group of 20+ and there were 2 instructors to guide us through the assembly and finishing. The precut backgrounds already out and ready upon arrival. My die cut was actually lopsided a bit and we had to do a fix. The staff handled the group easily to the end completion. It was pretty enjoyable and the end product looks great. We went to The Rustic Brush in Kingwood for Valentine's Day. We double dated with another couple and had the best time! There were lots of couples there. Our projects were laid out and waiting for us. Every little detail was prepared ahead of time. They had wine and chocolates for all the couples. It was really sweet! And really beats the usual go to dinner...or try to...on Valentine's Day. The girls were very helpful and made sure everyone knew what the next steps were on their projects. The Rustic Brush is a perfect venue for getting together with friends, groups, family or even solo and having fun making rustic signs that can be a gift or a treat for yourself. The staff especially Lauren were so helpful with suggestions for designing and painting our signs. They helped as much as you wanted and made sure that you were very happy with your sign. There were many choices for sign designs and painting colors. I saw signs for homes, nurseries, and offices. BYOB and bring your own munchies to make it more festive. I will say that most people have become exhausted with the whole paint and sip, painting with a tw**t, or fun art class experience. The Rustic Brush has taken this and elevated to a superior experience and I can't wait until I come back! The booking process is unique and allows each person to create a distinct work of decor with expert instruction. Megan was very patient as she helped me book this experience for a group of 8. Lucia was an AMAZING instructor and she helped us all create works of art. She was patient, proficient and even stayed a little late as people finished up who were a little "delayed". My fiancé and I went here for our anniversary date and had a B-L-A-S-T! We worked with Rima and she literally held our hand through every step and was wonderfully sweet and helpful. When we got there the vinyl for our designs was waiting on us and we immediately got to work. It was my first time ever nailing anything or using a sander and Rima was super helpful and patient. Then, as we were finishing up, the manager came to talk to us and ask us about our visit. The best part about the experience, it's 100% self-paced and nobody is rushing you. I hosted a baby shower at the Rustic Brush and it was a fabulous experience. Sandi, one of the owners, was extremely accommodating and attentive and made the whole process very easy. Once we arrived, they allowed us to decorate and set up for food and work at our own pace. The signs were fun to make and at everyone's skill level. The staff was so friendly and wanted to ensure we all had a perfect outcome, that our signs were flawless. Everyone had an excellent time and most of the girls shared interest in returning. Did a Fathers Day workshop, and it was super fun. Our instructor was helpful and patient with showing up proper techniques and helping out when needed. We both did a small pallet from scratch. (You have the option to have them pre built). It was super fun, we started with sanding down, then staining the wood, nailing them together, and then comes the fun part of the stencil and painting. We did a custom design stencil and they did an awesome job with creating what we wanted! Definitely recommend for a fun day! read more

So much fun! You nail your boards together and sand them and stain them (you can pick from three and customize them even more from there)! And the stencils make everything look done by a professional! Great for any fans of fixer upper and great for a girls night out! We had a company event at the Rustic Brush. It was originally an adult party, but we open it to family so everyone could bring their children. The children had the most fun making their stencil board. The staff gave the kids extra throwaway small boards to do more fun abstract art and painting. Everyone had such a great time. The teachers will obviously help out if needed, but I feel like it's more meaningful when doing it on your own bc you put your heart into your project. This was my absolute first time experiencing the Paint and Sip Scene, and I totally enjoyed myself! I'm so glad I was able to join my friend and help her celebrate, because this was truly a rare treat as I have not been out in a good while. The atmosphere was very relaxing as we sipped wine and champagne while painting and enjoying the music that was blaring out of the overhead speakers. We were allowed to bring our own bottles of champagne, wines, and other liquors. The business owners provided two shots of some type of milky looking liquor called Mona Mint, which did not appeal to me, so I turned it down when they offered me one. I overheard some of the other guests from our party complaining among one another, saying that it tasted weird and they did not like it. See, I'm so glad that I followed my first mind, and turned it down, lol. Furthermore, this establishment does not provide or sell any food, but you are allowed to bring your own food inside for parties. My friend informed me that she was required to pay a deposit in order to book her party. However, other requirements were that half of her party were to pre-purchase their tickets by a certain deadline, and if that requirement was not met in a timely manner, then her party would be canceled and she would not be given a refund for her deposit. The tickets were $50 per person. I paid my money in advance like my friend requested her guests to do, but some of them did not do this by the required date. As a result, my friend's party was nearly canceled and I was not going to be refunded my $50 and nor would my friend be refunded her deposit. However, she made some phone calls to her guests to reiterate the importance of them purchasing their ticket because her party was being threatened of cancellation by the business owner due to half of her party not purchasing their tickets by the deadline. To make a long story short, everyone finally purchased their tickets and all was well in Art-Land. The party did not get canceled but it was a close call. So if you plan on celebrating your birthday at this establishment, please be sure that your guests are well aware of the seriousness about paying by the deadline, unless you have money to throw away. Moreover, the space that was provided for the party was enormously spacious! There was plenty of room for dancing, painting, and for setting up the food and bottles of champagne and wines. There were also plenty of photo selfie backgrounds for taking photos with friends and family. Upon arrival our tables were already set up with everyone's canvases, paint brushes, cups of water, napkins, and aprons provided. The young lady that hosted the party was extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. She instructed us on how to mix our primary colors in order to create any secondary colors if needed, like orange, purple, or green. She also instructed us on what to do if we got any paint on our clothes or hands. Overall, the concept of art and wine, sipping while painting, and female bonding, is a great collaboration of relaxing and enjoying art without the pressures of actually having art lessons. It's a fun, creative, and exciting way for one to explore their artistic side in a relaxed and chilled social environment. I would definitely like to experience this refreshing, peaceful, and informal ambiance once again. I rated them four stars based on the friendliness and professionalism of the staff members. Would have given them five stars, but since it's only my first experience visiting a sip and paint establishment, I am unable to make a comparison to another sip and paint establishment. However, I do recommend this business, but please be careful with making your deposit and asking your guests to pre-purchase their tickets. You will not get any refunds if you do not meet their requirements.

They made sure to turn it down when the instructor was speaking. The instructor was more than happy to help if you did or even if you didn't chose to follow the painting, as I did not. They had shots on the house and $30 hookah that lasted us the whole time there. After class was over, we were told we could stay after and finish our painting had we not finished. The only downside I could find is not being able to pick the class painting. It would be nice if after payment they allowed everyone to pick a painting from a few options and which ever template is choose the most should be used for the class.
