Decided to stop in here on a cold afternoon for a nice bowl of French onion soup, sadly disappointed. Not sure if this is the same Rose and Crown that's in Banff but the French onion is not the same at all. Was very watery, all I could taste was the thyme and sage, not much beef broth and not very hot, cheese was barely melted, I had to give it to my husband to finish. The salt and pepper wings were ok. Good portion for the kids chicken fingers and fries. Our server was super kind and friendly. It was pretty quiet inside, nice view of the mountains.

I had a great dinner here sitting on the patio, enjoying the views, and listening to live music! I got the chicken pot pie with the garden salad and it was nourishing and tasty. Our waitress was so friendly and gave us some good recommendations!

First, the portion sizes are huge! I love that for a pub. The server was friendly and efficient in grabbing our take out order, though it took a few moments to grab their attention. It's looks very much like an English pub on the inside and we almost missed it when walking to it on the outside. The food was good and they followed directions well though it might be nice if they had one or two vegan items on the menu. Overall, giant French fry nachos did their job.

What a night. We stumbled upon this cool English style pub called the Rose and Crown and they happened to have Trivia on. The place was packed and Trivia had 25 teams. Obviously a very popular thing to do in the Canmore area. The staff, especially Daisy from Dublin was amazing and so much fun. We just had appetizers for food and some drinks. Typical bar food. It hit the spot. No frills no pretense. If you are up for a fun night they have themed nights almost every night & Trivia every Tuesday

Great little bar in Canmore full of activities! Darts, pool, you name it. It was pretty quiet when I went, so we didn't have to wait for drinks at all! I had a couple of vodka cranberries and they were perfect. There is indoor seating as well as a large outdoor patio. It's located right across from the drake, making it easy to bar hop from one great bar to the next.

chicken caesar wrap, skinny fry poutine, steak bites

The food was solid especially with it being the last place to get food at that hour. Every restaurant stops serving food relatively early in canmore. Rose & Crown is one of the few options at a certain point. The chicken caesar wrap was refreshing. The poutine was a little underwhelming but the steak bites were pleasant. The vibe of the place though definitely carries it up to a must-go. Music is loud, people are lively and chatty. It has a party type atmosphere. The service is excellent. The servers and bartenders are very nice. Good beer selection and there are drink specials almost every night. Cheers!

Locals recommended this one. Easy to find. We walked so not sure where good parking would be. Friday at 7pm was quite busy. 1 guy with a guitar taking requests in a corner which was fun. Lots of rowdy loud drunks by 8pm yelling requests and yelling period. Busy, quite loud. Beer on tap was super flat. My Mountain Mist cocktail was delicious. My shepherd pie was saturated in gravy - too much. Only 4 peices of veg in there. Just meat and potatoes. Potato with cheese on top was good. Friend who got the Gyros was just shawarma meat in a bowl with a side salad - but not the salad he ordered unfortunately but we were too hungry to complain. Fries were good. Friends fish and chips were as expected. Little too greasy.for my taste. Friends Philly cheesesteak was ?pork based and she thought it had too much BBQ sauce and didn't like it. Overall didn't have a great food experience.

We came for happy hour and the food and drinks were enjoyable. The steak bites were tender and came with onion rings and garlic focaccia. It was an appetizer but the portion size was large. I would return for the food but the service was only mediocre. We had to ask if there were any specials and only knew about happy hour from google. Also, service was a bit slow, but still ok. Overall, an average pub.

Dropped into the Rose & Crown for lunch. Ordered the Seafood Paella Special $23.00. The staff were quick as usual and pleasant too. Love the decor and ambience especially the wooden bear that greets you haha!!! . Always enjoy coming here the food is always good and substantial. Value for your money. Has a good size bar and outdoor patio by the creek where you can dine outside. The paella was good but not much seafood. Still tasty.

We enjoyed the music and the atmosphere! It was our first trip to Banff, so we appreciated the hospitality!

Food was poor to so so. Service was ok. Drinks were okay but overpriced like most places in Canmore. Patio atmosphere was the only positive.

Our male server was very welcoming and customer service oriented. How thoughtful of him to offer mocktails. Thanked him for the offer. Typical me settled for H2O to hydrate. Elk and Kale Pizza served piping hot and made fresh with highest quality ingredients. Every ingredient integrated well with each other. I'm able to taste different textures, seasonings and flavors. Scrumptious and amazingly tasty that I consumed the whole pie. One of the best pizzas I've tasted in my lifetime! Huge restaurant with gender neutral washrooms. Highly recommend. Worth visiting.

They uniquely do a 72 hour dough rise for the pizza. Create a very airy and light focaccia style pizza crust. I had the elk sausage and roasted kale pizza. I found the pizza very good, very rich due to the type of cheeses they used ....however I found out...I don't like kale - so I picked it off. Kathy enjoyed the tuna melt, with waffle fries. It was yummy. The server was quick, guided us through some suggestions, and our order was out reasonably quickly. Banff gets busy in the afternoon. We arrive just before the rush at 2 PM. If you're looking for good food and a good beer, three beers brewery is a good choice. Asfoor value a bit on the higher side.... I'd use 3 ($$$) for two of us. Kid, friendly yes, clean bathrooms, good waiter-staff. Three Bears gets a two thumbs up for Banff Canada.

Our group was located in an annex room right of the main entrance and was the perfect size to fit all of us. We had 2 primary servers who did an excellent job of making sure we had full glasses and full plates. We did family-style sharing of some of their starters and main dishes. The Bread and Butter was really delicious and it looks like their butter flavor is on rotation daily. The duck wings had a peach glaze and nuoc cham and cilantro- great combination. The chicken vegetable dumplings had great skin and texture. The peppercorn salad was adorned with pickled cabbage, capers, maple coconut, crunchy chickpeas and more - it was amazing. We also tried the Thai basil risotto and it was good but I'd go with the peppercorn salad over this if you're sticking vegetarian. The final dish was Alberta AAA Beef Brisket accompanied by gochujang mashed potatoes and broccolini. The brisket was incredible and just melted on the tongue. And the beer/spirits here were impressive as well. BLAKE is a must-try destination while in Canmore!
