We just went for broke and bought a dozen so 4 each of Eton Mess, blackcurrant cream and coffee cream. Individually these were priced at €3.5 for one.
They were very well filled and absolutely delicious. We and I had a flat white and a cappuccino.
The two guys serving were delightful and we sat at one of the very few tables that have set up beside their trailer.
These are sour dough based donuts and are truly ace. Using sourdough gives a stronger crumb and a soft bread-like texture. It also means that these doughnuts absorb less oil than their non-sourdough counterparts
The company began 44 years ago operating from a kiosk in Dublin and now has seven outlets.
I noted they had vegan donuts one with vanilla pods, chia seeds and chopped pistachio, others include lotus biscoff, vegan blackcurrant jam, coffee and walnut, peanut butter to name a few. read more
