While sitting during the lesson, another student walked in and was told "oh so-and-so is no longer with us so this other person will be your teacher today." What? So you're not told ahead of time? (The mom asked when they'd known this teacher was leaving and it was two weeks prior, but they didn't bother to give anyone notice.) I find it strange that you pay in advance for these situations. Anyway. It's too poorly managed for me, which is too bad because it is certainly a great concept.

I found what I was looking for - piano music - but during this timeframe a young lady came in looking for an electric guitar. The guy behind the desk went right to work helping her, even though she tried to initially push him off as well. Within minutes he had helped her pick a guitar for the sound she was looking for, they were both sitting down and jamming, and he was showing her easier ways to transition between certain chords she was playing. She went out of her way to get me an appointment the very same day. The teacher, who matters most (the point of going was to get music lessons, right?), was incredible. He's brilliant. Studied piano since childhood in Venezuela and then lived in Russia for 7 years. He got my son SO HOOKED on piano that I hardly have to ask him to go practice. He loves to do it and I can hardly get him away from the piano. I highly recommend this place. They are really about their craft which is music, not pleasing extra picky sticklers who haggle and whine.
