We stopped by on a whim because a few of us are into rocks and just about everyone left with a rock or two. The ladies running the store were so sweet and patient explaining all the different rocks to us and packaging all of our purchases nicely. When you walk in the door there is incense burning, so that fit. There is hemp clothing in the back room but I never got back there because I was stopped dead by the number of lovely stones and crystals that are on display in this store. The owner, Lonny Roth, told me many of the stones are mined locally and many of them have a lovely handmade wrap on them. This design I have never seen anywhere before. Not silver, gold or copper, but a thin brown, almost leather, but more like tatting. Stunning! I had no intention of purchasing anything on my retreat, but I walked out with 1 lovely Villa Grove Turquoise piece and 2 Saguache Agates. Stunning! The scenery in this area is amazing, but this store alone is worth the trip.

We were greeted by the gallery owner, Robert, who was incredibly personable and had a great understanding of all the minerals displayed. Robert made our experience at Mardani a great memory from our trip to Vail. Although we did not purchase any minerals, Robert talked about the transaction process of purchasing a mineral. That is, sitting down with the customer to understand the needs as well as their price range. Aside from the immense knowledge that Robert has of all the minerals in the gallery, he really has the best interest of the customer in mind and enjoys educating them on a topic he is most passionate about.
