Right away, a gentleman greeted us, and offered to take a look at it and try his best to offer a solution. As we waited, another gentleman, named Rob, kindly offered us water and interacted with us and our kids. My husband requested to look at some of their timepieces and asked plenty of questions, to which Rob patiently and fully answered. To our satisfaction, the first gentleman who looked at our watch, was able to get everything back in order and refused to charge us. What fantastic customer service! Great staff and great selection!

This may not seem like a big deal, but I came back to ask the name of the necklace's designer. Sales Associate Hildegard was quite rude in telling me that I couldn't have the designers name, after leading with a pretentious attitude. This forces me to travel here for repairs, although I paid for a piece with a lifetime warranty that came from the designer. I also don't have enough information to follow the designer on instagram. I am a student of jewelry, I've admired this work so much that I wanted to seek out this designer as a potential apprentice. I didn't want to shirk the store, and the assumption that I did will make me think twice before coming back. Given the limited number of jewelers that can masterfully craft a drilled diamond, I'm left in the dark with hoping that I can learn from them. Hildegarde was unfriendly from the start, but I do suggest asking for Mo whom sold me the necklace originally. He approaches customers kindly and with humility.

The purchase we had was for a necklace and was an Anniversary gift from my husband on our week in Vail. What came next was shocking. We called the owner and then he text me stating, "Do you have the product or no? Did you use it or no? You broke it. You can read our return policy". The item clearly broke from a defect . He dismissed me and immediately told me to get it fixed on my own and it was terrifying. We never complain and have been coming to Vail for 27 years. He should not be in business and you won't find out how savage his customer service skills are until something goes wrong. I am type A, raised to Aerospace Engineers whereby everything is treated w/utmost care and detail. We do things with ethics and kindness. This will be reported to Vail Village and further taken to filing in court bc he needs to be accountable for his business practices. He wasn't even concerned to try to understand where it had come apart and how the design was poorly made. Absolutely arguing the minute the conversation began. Do not shop in this store because of the lack of skills if something goes wrong.

I was pleasantly surprised at the prices too - quite reasonable! And the salesman, Ali, was helpful without being pushy. He helped me pick out gifts and jewelry, yet he knew when to walk away and let me decide. The array of handmade lamps, rugs and dishes made the selection process challenging! Everything was beautiful! Because I do not live in Colorado, Ali offered to ship my lamp home for me, at no cost. Be sure to stop in this store when you are in Vail Village. It is very difficult to find a high end jewelry shop that sells quality estate pieces at proper prices. The sales associates are professional and very kind. They take their time with you and are attentive and informative, whether you are spending a couple hundred, a couple thousand or tens of thousands of dollars. The Associates treat you just the same. I visit this shop at least twice a year and every time I walk away with something, or many, estate pieces that are beyond beautiful. Yet, during my visit last year, I became so caught up in the moment, that as well as a few pieces for 5K, i bought a $20,000 Art Deco bangle! That evening, when I realized what I had done, how stupid I was, having multiple medical bills, two rents, many other expenses as well as my taxes to pay... I called and spoke to the Associate that sold me my pieces. In tears, I asked her if she would allow me to return the bangle, not that I wanted to; but, because I had become overly giddy and irresponsible by making that one purchase. She was very supportive and sympathised with my plight and agreed to allow me to return the bangle. The item was returned, for a full refund, the very next day! Thank Goodness! I spend at least five grand or so every time I walk into Squash Blossom and will spend $20K over the next years to come (and then some); but, in one go? on top of another 5-6K? They did not have to give me that return. It was my fault that I was in outer space. Yet, the Associate completely understood what I had done and what I needed to do, which was to be responsible and return that beautiful piece. I still hope it's there; but, I completely doubt it. It was too remarkable of a piece. Their estate pieces are out of this world, as well as their new pieces. I highly recommend this shop and once I get over my embarrassment (it's been almost almost a year), I'll be back in to buy something special and unique. Thank you Squash Blossom.
