The 3 day event featured over 200 artisans and artists from across the country, displaying and selling their unique handcrafted creations including gourmet food, wine and spirits, spa quality bath and beauty products, trendsetting jewelry, handpoured aromatic candles, eco-friendly clothing, pottery, original wall art, woodwork, home décor and holiday gift items galore. 8$ at the entrance for normal adults, 3$ I believe for children and there may have been a military discount. Music in entrance by a local grade school. Overall, you'll find pretty interesting stuff- this market I recalled had more alcohol sampling/wine artisans than most markets I have been to. So if you're into handmade or small wineyard wines, this may be a good place to pick up some. You'll find some strange food concoctions too, ranging from none back cheesecake mixes, German waffle things that basically taste mildly plasticky ensuring their boasted 1 year shelf life, sauces, dips, honeys. I thought it was a good experience- things were well made and nice, but it's not one of those creative/novelle places where one goes to discover inspiration/new trends/abstract art/and new styles. There may be some innovation in the way a method has been done, but for I would give this a 3/5 for trend/novel things. It gets a 4/5 for diversity- would have liked to see more hand work and craftmanship rather than wines/food/stencils/sports team stuff. Prices were also about 4/5- market price or matched other festivals I've frequented.

My nephew gets a kick out of always spotting deer here! We always pack snacks or a picnic lunch, plenty of picnic tables to share. Martin Road Park is smaller, has benches to sit where you can keep an eye on multiple kids, and has slightly smaller playsets. My three-year-old loves this park because he can easily climb around and run his Hot Wheels cars along the playset. There is also a pond with fish and ducks - bring some bread scraps! There are also a lot of shaded picnic tables - so bring a lunch while you're at it as well!

At least students can take advantage of the tunnel system. But as an educational institution, you can't really ask for a better place for a wide range of fields. They have excellent programs in so many STEM fields it's amazing. I was here recently on two occasions. The first was to get a tour of the new MAGIC Spell Studios. You can't believe what's going on here in the world of game development. The new sound stage, and state of the art editing rooms, coupled with new technology and a way to work your way into the gaming industry is what every little gamer boy dreams of. (or maybe not, I'm not a gamer or a boy so I just assumed that!) I think Rochester is going to benefit greatly with the new sound stage because movie makers are going to be able to use this and film more here. The other reason I was over at RIT was for an open house with a student. We looked at the fine arts programs, and I was pleased with the faculty's knowledge and dedication. They even offer portfolio reviews and my student and I took advantage. She got great feedback, and I'm grateful. This is my public "thank you!" The college offers so much in the way of "college life" from residential support and loads of opportunities to engage with others who share your interests. Wow. It sort of made me wish I was in college again... ahh reminiscing. And it's all right here in Rochester, so check it out and see for yourself!

So RIT on if you're interested. Is that alRIT with you? I'm not crazy about the police (and they usually follow me around campus if I'm visiting a girl on campus at 3am, which by the way I did a couple of times but let's keep that between you and me and not put it all over Yelp or anything), and I'm really not crazy about the prices! I looked into coming here a long time ago and even back then the tuition was insane. I come here to eat, drink, and be merry with aforementioned girl sometimes, and all of the stuff on campus is overpriced and annoying, much more expensive than at UB North in Buffalo, which also - it has to be said - has better options, too. It's a beautiful and very safe, leafy, suburban campus, though. Cars aren't allowed on the majority of it which makes it safe and peaceful and quiet. It's got some great sculptures and a lot of pretty smart people. Not a lot of attractive people (unless you're into geeks), but I do know at least one ridiculously attractive girl that goes here, and that's the only reason I've really ever spent any time on campus. If you go here, take a trip to Cha Chat Cafe for some Brown Sugar Milk Tea, and to Bombay Chaat House for some kebabs. Also give Schaller's Ground Round a try, Sodam for some Yuk Gae Jang, and Tsingtao for some real Chinese food.

We are told this *after* we pay for the rental. Their response? "You can come back later and see if someone returned one." But, we already paid, and so did the people who are wearing those skates. 2) skate for awhile in the wrong size skates, PAIN 3) Zamboni: Nope, no zamboni, so it's like you're skating on loose legos. 4) Go back to check as suggested, they still don't have the right size. No surprise, who returns skates before time is up? No one of course. More painful skating. 5) Return skates, but the family will not be returning to RIT. Plenty of other rinks locally.
