Our second floor three-person table, in its own little alcove
    Natalie S.

I went and saw the awesome performance of The Cat's Meow here (hint: it's about a murder; not a cat). This theater is right down the road from the City Grill, which makes it great for a night out with good food followed by good theater. We reserved a table on the second floor which had a nice romantic privacy to it, as we watched this great 1920s story unfold. Pro tips: Go with a group and get a five-person table on the first floor - it costs just $25 in addition to your tickets; bring cash for the bar The Great: The actors are very dedicated to their work, some with truly standout performances. We found the play itself to be very funny, often laughing out loud at the occasionally audacious language and actions. We absolutely loved our little table, which was tucked away in its own alcove. Each alcove was decorated differently, with carefully appointed 1920s-style touches, and a personalized sign and candy waiting for us. The building clearly has a lot of history, and is just a joy to walk into. The Could-Have-Been-Better: While we loved our table, the view was impeded at times. This is the kind of show where the actors use several areas of the theater off-stage as part of the act, and some of these areas were difficult to see. Because of the way the room is laid out, there are few areas where you would be able to see everything in the room, but the first floor tables seemed to have a better overall view. The building still has a very church-like style to it inside and I felt it could use some updates simply to make it feel more like a theater (i.e. maybe get rid of the red carpet on the stage), but at the same time it is nice to see the history. Note that the bar is cash only and there is no ATM, so come prepared! Wine is $7 and beer is $5 - fairly typical pricing for theater drinks. Overall, we had a fantastic time out. I highly encourage you to go and support your local theater!

    Stunning!

Went to the fringe festival concert Friday night and the music was beautiful. The choir was so moving I had chills everytime they sang.

We have been to both the cabaret theater and main stage in the past year and just adore the place.

One exciting edition I noticed on this visit were working elevators. In the past they did not have elevators which was difficult when I came to a show with my mother who has limited mobility. Very pleased to see this has been addressed by the venue. Check in process is quick. Scan your tickets and move through the security screening line. The bar had speciality drinks for the musical we were seeing, Back to the future. We purchased some candy for the show, $3 a piece. Cookies and cheese & crackers samplers were also available for purchase. You can also purchase merchandise for the show on the first floor. The theatre is gorgeous with molded ceilings and stained glass light fixtures. We were seated on the main level and the seats are comfortable. I did feel packed in at times but overall comfort was good. I would order aisle seats next time, as this is my preference. Bathrooms were very clean though the lines were crazy during intermission. I went to the lower level and it was chaos with no clear direction for the lines. I did not want to wait in this line, so I walked up to the second level. The line was shorter and the bathroom had an attendant directing the line traffic. The second floor also had a photo op area for the show and the rbtl staff took a photo for us. RBTL does a great job bringing exciting productions to town. Very happy to have the opportunity to see broadway shows in Rochester.

The classes themselves are kept small enough so each student can get individual attention if needed, and the instructors do a good job of making sure everyone is comfortable with moves before moving onto something else. There's also a really good sense of camaraderie here, not only with the students but the instructors as well. Once you're in a class, it starts to feel like family. You're not just treated like another student, and by your third or fourth lesson you'll see that everyone knows you by name and vice versa. If you're looking for a fun workout that's not boring, I would highly recommend checking this place out.

Instructors, the front desk, their advertising and everything will tell you that unused classes will roll over to the following month, but no one will ever explain to you there's a cap to the amount that roll over until after you're automatically charged hundreds of dollars for months of classes that don't exist. If you explain to them your family member is dying and you were too busy taking care of their hospice plans to attend classes and had no idea this policy existed and ask if there's anything they can do to help you, they will tell you that you signed a contract and should've read it better. I have loved the classes here, but my heart is broken over their lack of communication and compassion. This is incredibly unfair, and I just want you to know the reality of what you're signing up for before you get trapped by predatory policies and fine print no one will ever mention like I did.
