Honest Review of My Experience With Diana Salcido (Color Appointment + Communication + Deposit…read morePolicy) I'm really disappointed with my experience with Diana, and I feel it's important to share so others know what to expect. I originally came to her for color and highlights. The first appointment was over $500, and while the dimension looked nice when I left, the color faded extremely quickly within just a few washes. I reached out politely to let her know, and she offered to gloss it , which I understood as simply refreshing the tone. Instead, my entire head was turned into a single dark chocolate color. All of my highlights were completely covered, my hair became several shades darker than what I originally paid for, and the dimension I loved was gone. None of this was discussed with me during the service. She didn't even fully dry my hair before I left, so I couldn't see the true result until I got home. My hair was already dry from the first appointment, and this additional processing made things worse. When I reached out to express confusion and concern, she did not take responsibility or apologize. Her responses were dismissive, and at one point she simply replied "Ok," which made it clear she didn't care about the impact the service had on my hair or how I felt as a client. It was deeply unprofessional and left me feeling unheard. Throughout all of this, I remained kind, calm, and respectful. I work in the beauty industry myself, and I believe strongly in treating clients the way I would want to be treated , with care, honesty, and accountability. When a mistake is made, it's our job to take responsibility and make it right, unless a client is being truly abusive. That wasn't the case here at all, which is why her coldness and lack of remorse were so confusing and disappointing. Weeks later, my hair is still not the same color or look I originally paid for. I had a future appointment booked, which I canceled with plenty of notice, and politely asked for my deposit back. Only then did she inform me that deposits are nonrefundable , something that was never communicated at booking. She insisted the policy had been stated, but it absolutely was not. Keeping a client's money when they cancel days in advance, especially after a service that went wrong, is not ethically or professionally acceptable. Overall, my experience with Diana showed: Lack of communication during the service No accountability when the result was not what I asked for Dismissive responses when I expressed concern No empathy or care for the health of my hair Uncommunicated policy used to keep a deposit after poor service A cold, unprofessional attitude toward a client who was nothing but kind I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was stressful, expensive, and handled with very little professionalism or integrity. I would not return and cannot recommend her based on how she treated me throughout this entire situation.

Unfortunately, my experience with her was very disappointing. When I booked my appointment with Tommy, I also brought my mom with me, so both of us had our hair done by her. Sadly, both of our hair colors turned out very uneven and looked quite bad. The results were very similar for both of us, with patchy and inconsistent coloring. When I tried to talk to Tommy about fixing the problem, she did not seem willing to help correct it, and there was no offer to redo the service or provide a refund, which was very frustrating. However, after my review was posted, the salon owner personally reached out to me to apologize for the experience we had at her salon. She kindly invited us back to fix our hair. A few days ago we returned to the salon. The owner helped correct my hair color herself, and another stylist named Michael helped fix my mom's hair color. They were both very patient and professional while working on it. At the moment, I am much happier with the result because the strange uneven colors are gone and the overall color looks much more balanced. I will also attach updated photos. Originally, I wanted highlights, but because of the previous coloring, my hair had too many different tones, so it was not possible to add highlights right away. For now, the owner helped even out the color first, and we will slowly improve it. After I return from my trip overseas, I hope to come back and add highlights at that time. I appreciate the owner's effort to fix the situation and take responsibility, which is why I wanted to update my review. I figured maybe the first one got lost in the beauty ether, the second one was during peak glam hours, and the third one... well... surely someone would call back. Alas, the phone remains silent. At this point I can only assume one of the following: They are so good that their clients never leave and therefore the phone is purely decorative. My messages were intercepted by a rival salon trying to keep me from achieving my full gorgeous potential. The title "Hello Gorgeous" is aspirational and I simply didn't qualify. Sadly, without a callback I will never know what my true level of gorgeousness could have been.
