The customer service we received was wonderful even from the owner's daughter! I paid twice the price to have a party at another skating rink so I was shocked when I got my bill. She would not let us enter the facility until 20 minutes before the party began, which is understandable. She got real hostile with myself and the rest of the party attendees. She definitely does not know how to deal with the public. My child didn't have socks to play in the bouncers and she began stressing that socks were needed to use that area and was hateful and let me she had socks for sale. Do not waste your money on this place I will not ever return to this business unless this business learns proper business operations (customer service skills and hospitality). My family paid good money to have a pleasant experience for the kids and it was definitely was far from that at the least. She took us to a room and gave us a bunch of rules we couldn't eat birthday cake out of some small kinky dink room like we were in jail. I will not recommend this place and at all and take my business elsewhere. Hope this review gets to someone that cares aboutthe establishment.

Hmmm. Do I write a review about the actual Ice Gardens Arena or the circus we attended which was…read morethe reason we were here? I think I have to include some experiences from both. So one day I come into work and in the lunch room are a stack of tickets admitting one child for free per paying adult to the Garden Brothers Circus. I have two step kids age 8, and 6 and immediately thought they might enjoy this. After talking it over with my husband he went online and purchased two adult tickets (9.95 + a fee, total about $25.00) that we used with the free tickets. This arena was quite a drive, roughly an hour and all highway driving. When we got there I was very unhappy to see they were charging $5.00 to park. I wasn't all that surprised but I think they should tell you that in advance (online when ordering your tickets maybe??). Being a couple of people who rarely carry cash this speed bump made us journey further down the road for an ATM. Once parked and inside you pass by a plethora of carny type food and toys, with many circus folks barking out what they are selling. All incredibly overpriced garbage both food and novelties alike. And they don't just stay in one area. All throughout the performances the vendors walked the crowd shouting out "popcorn, lemonade, laser guns, spinning tops!" Incredibly annoying. A lady two rows in front of me bought her kids some slushies for $12.00 a piece! There better be some booze in that because that's just cray cray! Once you get past all the junk food and novelties it really hits you. The barnyard smell of good ole poo. Which brought me to the realization that Oh my they still use animals in circuses?! Last time I attended a circus was over 30 years ago when they used tigers, lions, and monkeys and well you name it. I really thought that they stopped using animals and was pretty sad to see that they had about 5 camels that they were selling tickets to ride them in a small circle on the arena. We could also see two elephants that they brought out during intermission to also sell tickets for rides around a circle. It's pretty disheartening to know that they still imprison these ginormous creatures making them preform and live in small quarters. I felt pretty bad about that. I only hope that these types of performances are on the out and will not be continued much longer. The show that the performers put on was perfectly fine without the use of the animals. My favorite was a lady gymnast who had some mad parkour skills and shot a bow and arrow from her foot to break a balloon all while holding herself upside-down with just one hand. Total badass. Overall the circus was fun, but there is no need to have animals perform for the amusement of humans. Though it was an amazing thing to see, it's cruel and needs to stop. I don't think I would see another one if I knew they used animals. The facility was pretty run down too. I think Cal-U plays hockey there. Not a very clean place and I am not just talking about the elephant dung.

I saw on Facebook they have a toddler ice skating class so we decided to try it out. The class was absolutely perfect. I have to say it really exceeded my expectations. I was really nervous about her being on the ice for the first time, especially without me, but the instructors were really great. They made the class fun for the kids and made sure everyone was included. The cost was 11$ which included skates and about an hour long class. We will definitely be back! There were maybe 15 kids in the program, with no teams, bad coaches, and no communication. My attempts to learn more and eventually get a refund went unheeded for weeks. But aside from the ample parking, what matters to me? Coffee. And this place has vending machine coffee and no snackbar. Blech. A positive is the temperature inside the rink. While decidedly cool, it isn't a meat locker and that's important when you are essentially stationary for an hour. It has a 100% functioning scoreboard, also a huge nice to have. On the downside, the players benches and penalty box obscure the view along the boards. Rinks where the benches are opposite the bleachers are better. If f this place had fresh coffee I would give the rink 4 stars - but they don't so they get a 3.

After working there for years I'd like to leave an honest review for everyone from someone who…read moreknows all the insides and outs. The skates aren't bad, sure there's some minor wear on a decent few, but they are constantly being repaired and the company has also recently replaced half their stock. If you do honestly have any issues with the skates, you can go back to the counter at any time and request a new pair. Same with if you have any issues with personal skates your brought, typically the staff will try their best to help you fix your skates. It should be known however that sometimes they can't as not all of them carry their own personal tools after they got stolen numerous times. The food itself isn't bad, not a fan of the pizza but I do recommend the popcorn and when they have it the chicken strips. The drinks aren't really the best and I never agreed with the prices for how small they are, but there is the vending machines that people rarely use. It's only $2-$3 for a bottled drink and it's the best option there drink wise. The skate floor itself I'll give high praise to. There is yearly repairs and polishes, and it's swept and mopped before each day. Music isn't bad, there's a few different DJ's so the music isn't the same every day, and most of them take requests and will play the music as long as they have it and it's appropriate for the crowd. It should be known however that they don't stream off the internet, so they don't have unlimited options, if they say they don't have it, they genuinely don't have it, they aren't just trying to make you go away. The staff as a whole is pretty good. The floor guards are some of the nicest people as long as you just follow the rules, many negative reviews I've seen I was there for, and those people tend to conveniently leave out the numerous rules they were breaking. The rules themselves are posted in multiple locations and essentially all you have to do is not cause issues for everyone else. The management could be better. There is times that there's issues that they don't really put effort into fixing, but if you talk with other staff members they'll usually do better than them. Management usually only gets involved for bigger issues such as fights, but they do keep a cop on duty for the busy sessions so you don't have to worry about any fights. Parties are reasonably priced and I do highly recommend the private ones if you're doing 20+ guests. You'll get the entire rink for like 3 hours with music, skates, etc. The public ones aren't bad either but many people seem to underestimate how many people will be there since those happen during public sessions. So if you're doing under 20 guests, public is a good option, but anything over that I'd just pay the extra for a private one, it'll be well worth your money. Only real issue I'd say everyone has to face is the rising entrance fee. The head management keeps raising it for inflation, and honestly to some extent it feels unnecessary with some of the price increases. My best advice is check the hours online so you're getting your moneys worth. Tons of people will pay to get in, but they complain about the price after they chose to show up with only 45 minutes left in a skate session. $10 isn't the most unreasonable price when you are getting the full 3+ hours, just plan accordingly. Overall I'd rate the place at a 3.8 to 4. Prices can be steep but if you plan ahead then you'll be fine. Just actually follow the rules that are for everyone's safety and you'll have no issues.
