A Nightmare Loop of Unauthorized BillingThis company operates a deceptive billing system designed…read moreto trap customers in a continuous payment cycle. After multiple failed attempts across several channels, it is clear that Urban Air makes it intentionally difficult, if not impossible, to cancel a membership.Timeline of Cancellation AttemptsJanuary 2026: Submitted two separate cancellation requests via the online "Contact Us" form for the North Fayette location. Received only automated emails promising follow-up, but no one ever reached out.Spring 2026: Visited the North Fayette location in person after the initial 6-month contract ended (membership began September 2025). Staff explicitly stated the membership would automatically cancel. It did not, and billing continued.May 2026: Called the location and spoke with Assistant Manager Ella. She claimed the local venue cannot cancel memberships and instructed me to use the same broken online form again.Lack of Accountability and SupportWhen questioned about a refund for the unauthorized charges outside the original agreement, the assistant manager essentially said "good luck." Furthermore, management claimed they did not have a phone number for their own corporate office, telling me to "Google it" while warning that reaching corporate was "not promising."Charging customers outside of a signed membership agreement and refusing to provide a clear cancellation method is completely unacceptable. Avoid this establishment unless you want your bank account held hostage by a business that refuses to stop billing you.

The system to check in was confusing, there's little parental supervision so children are everywhere, and it's loud which I expected. We attempted to get food. I say attempted because we put our order in at the counter and 30 minutes later we didn't have food. We cancelled our order because by then we had missed a large chunk of the party. I'm sure an 8 year old me would've loved this but old person me was happy to leave.

The one rabbit didn't even really have any food. Rabbits are prone to digestion issues and need to be able to be constantly eating. There weren't any hideaways provided for them, or any toys for enrichment or to chew on and keep their teeth down. I didn't get pictures of the guinea pigs. Their cage was literally just stacked on top of the rabbits'. But they also didn't have any toys and no hideaways. Because of this, they were visibly super stressed out because they were kept front and center of the store and didn't have any place to hide and get away from the stressors. The top of their cage was also just open and I saw little kids reaching their hands in without any employees around to facilitate customers interacting with the animals like that. Honestly terrible for everyone involved because A.) The kids could get bit B.) It stresses out the animals C.) The animals are learning to be afraid of people are going to be difficult to socialize with anyone that takes them home and D.) Any germs on the kids' hands could easily be transmitted to the animals and make them sick. This store should just stick with fish honestly. I'm not as knowledgeable about the other kinds of animals they have as I am about guinea pigs and rabbits, but the owners definitely either don't care about the animals or are just really uneducated about the animals they're selling.

Occasionally it can feel a little warm inside, but that's understandable with so much activity going on. We truly love Altitude and are so thankful to have it in our community. Thank you for consistently providing such a fun and welcoming environment for families like ours!

Even though the things they do make my hands sweaty, I don't want to stifle their spirit or curiosity, so we often do adventurous things that I would never do when I was a young girl. One of those things was going on a zipline canopy tour in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia. You're probably thinking, "That's nothing! Ziplining is perfectly safe!" And I'm sure it is, somewhat. But sometimes, I'm still that timid little girl who is afraid to get hurt. And I try to avoid doing anything that requires me to sign a waiver, wear a helmet, be strapped in by trained personnel, be high up off the ground, etc. So, yes, I was being a good mom and taking my kids to do adventurous things, but I let them have all of the adventure while I waited safely on the ground. Kids can zipline and traverse the canopy tour by themselves as long as they weigh at least 70 pounds. They also have to be able to make it the whole two hours of the tour. When we visited, it was very cold, and even colder once you get high up in the trees. If you visit on a cold day, bring some thin gloves and a beanie! The people who do the tours are students at West Virginia University. The three students we encountered on our tour were super knowledgeable and good with kids. They made sure my kids had all of their safety gear on correctly, showed them the basics, made sure they understood how to zipline safely, showed them what to do if they got stuck in the middle of a zipline (ay, dios mio!) and checked in with them throughout the tour. I felt like safety was of the utmost importance to them, which I appreciated. The canopy tour consisted of four zip-lines, seven platforms up in the trees, an aerial bridge, aerial ladder and a rappel station to exit the course. It was a fun time! No one died or fell and became paralyzed. (I mean, what kind of paranoid sicko would even think that sort of thing?!) The only thing I would do differently is visit on a warmer day. At the end, my oldest child said he couldn't feel his fingers and he was actively shivering. So, visiting on a warm day would probably make the experience a lot more enjoyable.

Before we embarked on the ziplines, we did a small, low-to-the-ground practice course. The guides made sure we all knew their hand signals and how to brake. Then, we did three ziplines, each one a little more adventurous than the last. We ended by stepping off a 45-foot platform, with the guides lowering us down on a cable. My kids (ages 12 and 14) had a blast. My husband and I loved it too. It was a great family adventure.
