Honey jack and sweet and sour
Holly S.

Stopped in here for trivia night with the neighbors since it's right down the road and had a good time. I like that Thursdays are set up to win some bar money if you drop some knowledge. Had some trouble getting the bartendar but did enjoy his suggestion on honey jack and sweet and sour. Overall pretty decent service for being so busy and I will come back in for the laughs and questions about hot comic book characters.

This place was loads of fun. It's located in a shopping center in a corner suite, so it's almost like a hidden gem and went Saturday night for Cards Against Humanity. Arrived early (advised as it gets packed; which is a hint to you about the quality of a good time) and got great parking. Had a great time with a sizable group of friends. Jordan is an outstanding bar tender and despite being understaffed the drinks came out fast. Her service and the experience was so great we all stuck around after for a game of darts. Will be returning soon.

I was greeted pretty soon after I took a seat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and asked if I wanted a food menu. I declined because I already had dinner plans that involved eating the left over ribs that I made for a party the night before. I grossly overestimated how much people would eat. I plan on trying their food another day I ordered a Blue Moon which the bartender did put a orange slice on as it is traditionally served. As I was getting close to finishing my beer, the bartender asked if I wanted another one so I would say the bartender was attentive. I ordered one more and decided to close out. The bill was pretty reasonable for two beers and only came to about 10 dollars maybe closer to 11. I would say this bar has a Dive Bar feel to it. It is very dark inside and I was kind of surprises how bright it was when I walked out. They do have outdoor seating that I might try another time. I recommend this place if you want a cheap drink.

I ordered the fried catfish while she went with the steak sliders and a margarita. The catfish plate was impressive -- plenty of lightly battered catfish piled on top of a huge serving of waffle fries. The fish was cooked just right, not overly fried or greasy, and it definitely filled me up. I would absolutely order it again. My wife wasn't as impressed with the steak sliders, and we both agreed her waffle fries were a little too salty. On the positive side, she really enjoyed her margarita, which helped make up for the meal a bit. One thing we both really appreciated was that they offer a 15% discount for Military and Veterans, which is always a nice gesture to see. Overall, it was still a good first experience. I'll definitely be back for the catfish, and my wife said she'd try something different next time. Nice atmosphere, good service, and worth checking out if you haven't been before.

The only reason the chunks were partially held together was because of the cheese on it. Obviously not juicy at all, but the toppings and bun were good. My favorite thing on the menu is the ahi salad, and I like a lot of the appetizers as well as the Sunday drink specials,, but this burger (pic of leftover burger crumbs) was impossible to eat. A huge disappointment, but I didn't want to send it back and not eat with my son or to piss the cook off.

I finally put it on this year's schedule and planned to go with a group of ten. But, as the day drew nearer, folks just started cancelling for various reasons, until we finally ended up with a party of five today. When we arrived, I was surprised at just how much of a "bar and grill" this was. I started getting nervous about the food. I know we've all been to bars that had horrible food before. Fortunately, this is not one of those bars. The food here was really good. We started with an order of fried mushrooms served with gravy and deviled eggs. I'm not a fan of fried food, but the others all seemed to enjoy them. There was a huge mound of them that all but disappeared. I opted for the deviled eggs- one of my favorite foods. These were topped with a crunchy strip of bacon and served with a pile of pickled jalapeno slices. The were super delicious! On our member's recommendation, I tried the orange chicken served with fried rice for my entree, as did two others. I was overwhelmed with the gobs of food the server sat in front of me. There were at least twenty bite-sized nuggets of chicken sitting on top of a bed of fried rice. That bed was obviously a California King! They were lightly covered in the orange sauce, but still crunchy. It was a very satisfying meal. I had the other half for supper, and it was almost as delicious heated up in the microwave. One of our people had a pepperoni pizza. It was probably about 18". The crust was amazingly thin. It just looked awesome to me. My friend enjoyed it, but carried a lot home with her. The fifth person in our group had the Reuben sandwich. She said it was delicious, but was put off by the amount of fat on the meat. Encore makes their own pastrami. The chef explained to her that the fat on the pastrami was what most people thought made it such a delicious meat. I know it looked great to me. I will most likely have that next time I visit, and there will be a next time.

LOL. It was delicious but not enough protein for me so I ordered the 4 piece chicken tenders. OMG, the pieces of chicken were huge compared to with elsewhere. Everything was nice and hot and perfectly cooked. The chicken was nice and juicy. Yum! Service was fantastic. Lucy Cooper's Ice House is definitely a laid back sort of place. I will say the GPS got a little confused in the route for some reason and I nearly missed an exit and even the entrance (there was some construction going on) There is plenty of parking, but the parking lot was pretty full. You walk up and either walk through the courtyard style Biergarten with tables or you can go inside. It was an unseasonably nice day, so, we opted to sit outside There is a QR code to view the menus. There are entrees and plenty of apps/sharables. There is also a very extensive beer menu. Make no mistake, this is their bread and butter. They boast an imprecise "99 beers on tap." There's local brews, light and dark beers, hoppy, Belgium style, German style, wheat, etc etc etc. if that's not your speed there are cocktails and non-alcoholic options. Our server was fantastic. She was very kind and patient with us. We were constantly checked in on, but not in a hovering way or a pressure to leave. Our food and drinks always came out in a timely manner. It's been a while since have done brunch and o won't be in a hurry to return to brunch specifically The service was superb, we had a great server and he was absolutely on top of everything which was great! Beers were also great as was the mimosa I had and the kids we were with seemed to like their meals which came out last and they said theirs were hot - ours were not unfortunately. I had the Lox eggs Benedict and in retrospect should have sent it back as it was stone cold! My husband and our friend got the biscuits and gravy and also reported that they were cold - it was also served in a bowl which was a bad idea as the biscuits completely soaked up the gravy and resembled oatmeal by the time it hit the table! We got one meal - waffles and chicken to go and the waffles were inedible- poorly mixed, gritty and so much hot sauce in the mixture that they burned the back of the throat - they had to be trashed ! The outdoor patio seating was nice, and they even had a sand pit with toys for the kids, which was a great touch. The service was attentive and quick. I was a little confused about the drink setup since I didn't realize some drinks were self serve, but our waitress ended up bringing them out for us anyway. For an appetizer, we tried the Macaroni Brisket Balls, and they were phenomenal. I'm usually pretty picky when it comes to dishes like this, but these left a great impression. They were packed with flavor, super cheesy, and served hot. Definitely something I'd order again. For my entrée, I had the fried shrimp, which was delicious as well. Whatever batter they use has a great texture and a perfectly crunchy finish. To end the evening, we tried the bourbon bread pudding and the apple pie. Both were delicious, but the apple pie was my favorite and finished the meal perfectly. The bourbon bread pudding was good too, it has a strong bourbon flavor, so if you're not a fan, you may want to skip that one. Buyer's Beware. My husband and I frequent this establishment often, especially during crawfish…read moreseason. We had a bad experience in the past but the restaurant had turned itself around with new management. Since then, we started to come all the time again, especially during Crawfish season. I frequently buy 1-2 pounds of crawfish and my husband 1 pound of shrimp so we are VERY familiar with the portions expected. Two visits ago, I ordered 2 pounds of crawfish but the portion appeared closer to 1.5 pounds but my server said that ai was the only table that ordered 2 pounds so it was correct. I let that slide. I decided that in the future, I would order 1 pound and order another pound later to ensure that I can see the exact portions. Yesterday, I stopped by after a long run. I ordered 1 pound of crawfish and my husband ordered 1 pound of shrimp ($21.99 for 1 pound and $13.99 for 1/2 pound). When our order came, the portions were half of what was expected. I approached the front manager. He took to the back and weighed it, we receive 1/2 pound each but was charged 1 full pound. To fix it, they remade the order and to our surprise, added the wrong weight portion at no extra charge. Because of that, I did not post of what felt like the kitchen cheating the customer. Today, we returned. I had a free Chicken Tender coupon so after running 12 miles felt it was a good time to use the coupon, enjoy a margarita and my favorite, crawfish. Thinking yesterday was a fluke, we expected the correct portion size. Well, stupid me. Again, the crawfish came out with the portion size smaller than expected. I just asked if my waitress could weigh it. Nothing more, nothing less. The kitchen manager came out and spoke down to me that I do this all the time. And he was NOT going to weigh it. First of all, yesterday was my first time demanding our crawfish and shrimp to be weighed and we were indeed cheated. The way I was spoken to was definitely not appreciated. Being someone who order a a pound of crawfish from different establishments, I know what a pound should look like. Did they weigh the potato and corn as part of the crawfish (or shrimp)? If so this is a new practice and false advertisement. Should we be charged $10,99 a pound with the crawfish or $21.99 pound with the shrimp. We think NOT! The only reason why we come to Willie's is because of the great margarita deals. So, if you are okay with the kitchen at this establishment cheating you on your meal, feel free to come here. We will no longer be coming to this Willie's. It is NOT the only Willie's in town. F we get the same treatment at other Willie's then it is a Corporate issue and we will eat elsewhere. Stay tune for my update. Yes, I really would love to hear from a higher level Manager. And, please teach them some etiquette. Don't be RUDE to customers.
