This is not your regular repair shop by any means. Jay and Andrea run a tight ship, and it shows…read more Both of our cars had tires in need of fixing slow leaks. So in the morning I took my car to them and they got me right in, only cost $10 to fix the leak. Later in the afternoon after my bride returned from work, I took her car down hoping for the same results. Not so lucky the second time they showed me that there was a screw in the sidewall and that I would need a new tire. Andrea had already called their distributor and had the price ready for when she gave me the bad news. I gave the go-ahead for the new tire, then like a bolt of lightning, off she goes into her vehicle 15 minutes later she comes back with the tire. One of the mechanics put it on the car. This whole process took about 40 minutes. I have never been so impressed to watch how fast Andrea and Jay get things done. They are constantly in motion, getting quotes, talking to customers on the phone, overseeing the mechanics to make sure the job is done right, just really totally in charge of that operation. As I said to Andrea on my way out, this repair shop is run like a fine oiled machine. No waste of time, and no BS.

Especially if you drive a BMW or high-end European car, Itric's is the only place to go. The scene…read moreat Itric's most days is a few BMWs, a Porsche or two, a Ferrari, and/or a Lamborghini. Since people with cars that cost more than many people's homes trust the Itrics with their cars, maybe they really are that good so you don't have to just take my word for it. It's important to know that "Master Mechanic" isn't some meaningless, self-appointed claim, but an actual certification most mechanics don't have. I learned that from my best friend of 30 years who is also a master mechanic, but closed his shop in Tampa years ago when he moved to Canada. That's how I first met Boris and the rest of the Itric family, who happen to be among the most genuinely nice and honest people I've ever met (you can trust their advice to help you prioritize repairs). I also learned from my friend that the only way to keep any car running perfectly without constantly overspending is to have one mechanic who is the only one to ever touch the car for any reason. That was proven to me many years ago when a $10 oil change for my wife's car ended up costing hundreds of dollars because a careless employee at a discount shop didn't put the oil plug back in right. Things like that just don't happen when, not only is the business owner doing the work, but he is also someone who takes great pride in his work. With Boris, you always get top-notch work and, equally important, you never have to worry about whether you're paying for repairs that aren't really necessary. In any case, when my friend closed his shop, he had been the only one who touched the cars of anyone in my family for decades, so I asked him where we should take our cars going forward. The one place that a lifelong master mechanic felt comfortable letting someone else touch his own cars was Itric's, so my family has been going to there ever since.

When I arrived with the kit, the owner introduced me to the technician who would be working on my car, Juice. I was on a tight timeframe and told them 2 weeks is as long as I can go without my car. I was reassured multiple times this would be no issue, and it would be completed before 2 weeks! 70% upfront payment was necessary, 2 weeks go by, and I am called that they need 3 more days. I live 40 minutes away so decide to stop by the shop. Here, I am told they will actually need at least another week! BecausGe of all this waiting I expressed to him my concern with getting my car back onto the road because I also need to go to a muffler shop to have them install a custom exhaust. This again is no problem for the shop, and they quote me a 400$ price to custom fabricate a catback exhaust (turned out to be a nightmare!). I recieve the car about 23 days later and am extremley dissapointed with the result. As you can see in the photos, the body lines do not line up at all, the underskirt drags on the ground (neglected to bolt it down with the 8 factory screws), and the sideskirts stick out! To make matters worse, the exhaust fabrication job was awful! After hearing a rattling noise that they could not solve even though it was not like this when I brought it to them, I took it to another shop, and was informed an exhaust is not meant to be in a fixed position. Originally the catback had two hangers, allowing the exhaust wiggle room at the engine moves upon acceleration. This fixed position caused the midpipe to scrape the bottom of the car, causing me to need a whole new fabrication job! AVOID THIS PLACE!
