Quality food at amazing prices!! We were driving through town and came across The Ridge. They have a bar area with pool tables on one side, and a family friendly dining area on the other. The menu is fairly simple, appitzers, burgers, salads, steaks and a few more options. They alao offer a kids menu! Our fried pickles appetizer was perfectly breaded and big enough portion for the table to share! Kids orderd burgers and said they were juicy and delicious. My husband and I both ordered salads and the freshness definitely showed. The chicken was perfectly cooked fresh and not dried out. The salad was big and loaded with veggies. This place is incredibly dirty!! We came here from out of town for dinner. The waitress made everyone's salads and she didn't wash her hands, completely bare-handed the lettuce and toppings. Food wasn't bad. I had the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes. I enjoyed them and would order them again. Issue was cleanliness. Our tables 2 pushed together both had dried rings where glasses of beer had sat and the overflow had dried. It takes very little effort to clean them off. Just a damp rag. That alone will probably have me looking for someplace else the next time I'm in the area. read more

literally the best steak I have had in a year. And I live in South Dakota where steaks are the very best.

Stopped by mid day off the highway. No one was there but they started coming for lunch. The 3 of us ordered a chicken quesadilla, a burger and fries, an 8 oz streak and rings and a triple sample appetizer. Had to leave with 2 boxes. The sampler was huge and all 3 of the orders were excellent. Glad we stopped in here. read more

I went down for pasta night and got the chicken Alfredo it was SO GOOD!! The waitress's were both polite I think it was Taylor and Emily? They were both attentive and made sure I was taken care of! Visited chadron for a college visit for my daughter. Arrived on a Sunday and went to dinner here. Place has a country charm. Looks very western which was good, but that was all it had going for it. Sat at the bar and the brunette working was too busy flirting with two guys and talking to her friend to wait on us. The place was not at all full. A blonde ended up coming to wait on us. She was polite, but I think she was training. Seemed pretty new. Nice girl but definitely not fast. I think she was supposed to be handling the tables as she also waited on the only other customers that came in after us. Food was mediocre at best. My daughter barely touched her chicken fried steak and said the corn tastes funny. She asked me how someone can ruin corn-especially when we live in Nebraska. Good question. I'm a traveler from the west coast and stopped by here for lunch. The very pretty knockout young waitress with the cutest smile and awesome personality ever offered me theirs 2 tacos rice beans special of the day. I ordered it and it was very good. I almost had to walk out with my pants wrapped around my ankles cause the food hit the spot and filling. Happy camper here! First time here for me and the establishment and atmosphere is awesome! The service here is the worst I've seen in many years. You can sit patiently for 15 to 20 minutes. Waitress walks right by without even glancing at you. No menu offered. Other people that come in later seem to get service faster than those who are alone. This has happened the last four times I have tried to give this place some business. Good O'L cattle country steakhouse/ bar. Been here for the 3rd time in four years. Don't expect some fancy place, but they do have good burgers, steaks, appetizers. Vintage decor with tin ceiling. My wife this time had a grilled chicken salad with mushrooms, jalapeños, cucumbers, onions, cheese & tomatoes. I had the 16oz ribeye with onion rings & corn. Very good grilled steak cooked to medium. When we arrived we were told to sit wherever we wanted to sit. We sat down and waited for a waitress for over five minutes. The restaurant had less than ten people in it. No one came to take a drink order or give us menus. A group of six locals came in and the waitstaff immediately showed up at their table with menus for all and took their drink order. After he had passed our table on the way to the kitchen he stopped and turned around and gave us one menu and took our drink order as an afterthought. When he came back with our drinks he quickly left before we could place our order! The next trip out was with the other groups drink order and he took their lunch order. This place looked like a great venue for concerts or something like that; very spacious with good seating. The staff was extremely friendly and Ron, the manager, seemed to know everyone in that place and greeted us all with a smile! The burgers and chicken tenders hit the spot, as did the fries! Stopped here on a road trip two weeks ago while making my way over to Denver. Stayed overnight in Chadron and found this place in town. This Jersey guy didn't know what to expect. I walked in rather low key by myself around 7 PM and sat at the bar. I didn't want to draw attention to myself since I didn't know if I'd be made to feel welcome in a small town so far from home. I was pleasantly surprised. The female bartender was friendly and very attentive. I had a cheeseburger and asked to substitute mash potatoes for fries. No problem. They had a nice selection of beers on tap including IPA's which I enjoy. While I'm not going to say it was the best burger I ever had, it was really good. Mashed potatoes tasted fresh and not nuked. I liked the rustic vibe of the bar and the locals were a pretty chill group. The older crowd seemed to prefer the front of the bar at tables near the entrance. The young folks go towards the back and like to shoot pool. I think there were two pool tables in the back. The reasonable prices were a nice change compared to the ridiculous costs at home. This was an excellent place for what it's supposed to be: A cool pub to relax and unwind. read more
