We stopped at the first place we came to in Chadron. It presented well, clean, well decorated, with a pleasant staff. The waitstaff was attentive, they recommended the chicken wing special which we tried as an appetizer. My wife order the grilled chicken with onions and mushrooms, while my daughter ordered the steak (med-well), mashed potatoes, and broccoli. I ordered the chopped steak with onions and gravy, with cubed red potatoes and broccoli. We didn't wait long for the appetizer or meal, though the appetizer came first (a good thing). The meals were served hot, but bland, they may need salt/seasoning for some. My wife and I did order the smaller portion meals fo older farts. My daughter's steak arrived well done, not seasoned. The broccoli was good but her mashed potatoes were j u s t that, no butter or milk blended, just wallpaper paste. The wife and I ordered apple crumble pie and ice cream, which was good. The atmosphere was subdued and pleasant. I'd return.

Our server wasn't very friendly. I asked for kids menu since we had two very small kids with us and it seemed like it was an inconvenience to get those. Then I asked what dressings they had for salad and he said he could only remember ranch but they had a lot more. I feel like he should've been more helpful in finding out since they weren't listed on the menu. My Husband ordered the meatloaf dinner. It can with the wrong sides. Then it was burnt on top. Attaching photo.

Got the pick 4 sampler. Chicken tenders, fried pickles, tater tots, and cheese curds. The fried pickles were the best I have ever had.

The food is great and the price is right! The server is very friendly as well. We were there on a Monday night which is not crowded.

The food is alright. The service is pretty good. It's just feels really old and the ambiance feels dark and run down.

Food was just so so but the service was incredibly slow. I would definitely look for somewhere else!

Food, service and overall value was very good. If I am ever back in the area, I'll dine here again.

The best country fried steak and eggs plus great service! YUM! Worth the detour on the way back from Mt Rushmore through Salt Lake to Tahoe!

The food and service is always good. There's always an option for everyone and the kids like to color on the kids menu.

Stopped for break. Dessert was good, staff friendly but bathroom needed swept. Otherwise I think this would be a decent place to eat.

Anyway, on last summer's road trip or quest to visit all 50 US States, made a stop here for the evening to break up the drive. This was the only restaurant that my friend and could decided was worth trying. Not that the places are bad - we just didn't want bar/fast food. And it was fine. Everything was fine. Parking was easy. Main street. There was so many spaces because most everything was closed. Except the restaurants and theater. Place was busy. Not so busy there was a wait but enough that it was a little on the loud side. Service was standard - I wouldn't say it wasn't friendly or attentive - everything was handled smooth and quickly. Just not a lot of chit chat and didn't really need much as far as refills or condiments go. Food was ok too. Huge portions. See pics. Friend and I split the shrimp fajitas and I devoured the chips and salsa. I did have to ask for a hotter version as the "house" salsa is perfect for those who can't handle the heat. Also wanted to mention, the frozen margarita was nice and boozy. Not overly - but enough that you could taste the tequila and it lingers for a little while. As for the main dish, good. Standard - and this is coming from someone who lives in SoCal. Don't know if I would ever be back in Chadron but if you're on the road and in need of some decent Mexican in NE - it's not bad. Not bad at all.

We got the fajitas combo, chips and salsa, gyoza, and pad Thai. My husband and I were feeling different things so this place was perfect for that. The seasoning on the rice was amazing and my husband really enjoyed his fajitas. The pad Thai was delicious and cooked well. It came with some crab ragoons, too. The amount of food you get for the price is really wonderful as well. The service was quick (but it also wasn't very busy for a Thursday evening). If you're in the area and worried about where to eat, I do recommend this place!
