Nice classic eatery in a historic setting. Portions are good sized and satisfy appetites. Staffing is light in these days so have some patience with waiting times-- it's worth waiting for! Staff is very attentive to your needs

Fort Robinson dates back to the last half of the 1900s and was used until WWII ended. Initially it was a major base for the US Army troops assigned to kill or confine to reservations Native Americans and here Chief Crazy Horse was killed after his capture following his defeat of the 7th Calvary under the incompetent Col. Custer. The cafe is in the lodge and is decorated with old photos and army equipment. My 8 oz. buffalo hamburger was very good. It came with a bag of potato chips. The service is excellent.

Love it here. The scenery is fantastic. The waitresses are great, it's quiet and the drinks were refilled fast. We'll be back!

Plus, the buffalo and beef are all locally sourced from the park's herds of bison and longhorns.
