Great calzone! I've eaten here three times now and had a calzone 2/3 times. The meat lovers was delicious, the sauce was average. The seasoning on the calzone itself was great! As far as the boneless chicken wings go however, those were a 2 1/2 star. Very mid Redding and maybe a little overcooked. I went to Sam and Louie's to have a date night, we were greeted and got our drinks super fast and was told our waitress would be with us shortly. After waiting for almost 30 minutes our order was finally placed. There was 5 tables and it took almost 20 minutes just to get our appetizer. I got my cesar salad and it was drenched in their sauce. Once we got our main course it was cold, unappetizing and truly disappointing. Food is always great in the afternoon. In the evening if you look back in the kitchen you see High schoolers messing around and not taking their job seriously. The food is pricey and when I expect to eat there I expect it to be done correctly. The table right beside me was upset as well as their order was wrong and the slow service. This flies killed us inside...The service was super slow...They were two ladies one of them which was younger had stress while she was doing a great customer service. I'm giving 2 stars. I base this review on the delivery time of the food, the quality of food delivered and the attentiveness from the waitresses. The food is hit or miss. Sometimes I get a pizza fully cooked and perfect, other times it's under cooked and inedible. I've had cold center lasagna delivered, overcooked sandwiches, and cheesy bread that is soggy. I feel the kitchen staff and the servers lack communication causing my meal to be 45 minutes to an hour wait for food that is disappointing. My drinks don't get refilled unless I become rude. Overall disappointed in this Sam and Louies. The one in Scottsbluff has never failed to give amazing food and service. My recommendation, go to Ken and Dale's read more

We came here not long before closing to have a sit down meal on a Tuesday night. I will pretty much get straight to the point, because there is no point beating around the bush with this little place pretty much in the middle of no where. The wait staff were very friendly and were genuinely interested in our story of why we were in town and where we have come from. They never allowed our drinks to get empty & were accommodating to our requests from the menu. We had a side salad with an artichoke dip (which came with an awesome garlic bread) and we also went a 12" Hawaiian pizza. We were stranded in Alliance for four days during a massive blizzard that paralyzed the area, and were SO glad to find this restaurant when the weather let up a bit and allowed the city to reopen! Jodie, our server who grew up in Fargo, ND (as did I), was friendly and helpful, and the food was truly excellent. While we had the New York-style pizza, the menu is varied and comprehensive, and the servings we saw leave the kitchen were generous. Though the wine list was short and definitely of the jug variety, the prices were ridiculously low. I'd recommend this place to anyone passing by, and definitely to those marooned by snowstorms! read more

The calzones used to be awesome. Then in an effort to increase profit and decrease product the changes them to some flat piece of crap. Food has gone down hill and service is mediocre at best. Then if you have to go there for food on a day when there is a little snow on the ground they are closed early. Pretty decent Italian food out here in Northwestern Nebraska. Service was quick and friendly! I ordered a plate of cheese tortellini with marinara sauce, which also comes with a side salad. The salad was pretty good, a lot of leafy romaine which is always appreciated. The tortellini didn't blow my mind but it hit the spot. Gonna have to try the pizza next time. read more

Clean, comfortable place to eat. We stopped while staying overnight on a road trip. Servers were very friendly, but only two servers for a crowded restaurant. They may be nice and good, but they couldn't cover the whole place. Our meal came out one item at a time. Our neighboring table had to get their own plates and refilled their own beverages. They comped us part of our meal without us asking, which was nice. The pizza was tasty, the side salad had a nice variety of greens. I've eaten here once and I was very impressed. We got there just before the lunch rush on a Saturday. While we were there my 22m old daughter decided to freak out.
