The service was great. The food not so much, we were told from a local to try this restaurant and so we did. I ordered the 2 enchiladas with the tamale, the tamale was completely inedible and hard/crunchy. Also my chicken in my enchiladas was so dry. My significant other ordered a big plate with tostada, burrito, and enchilada. My significant other took a bite and suddenly pulled a hair from his mouth that was in the food. They remade it and overall the food was mid. We won't be coming back. read more

Clean, bright dining room. Great, fast and friendly service-very attentive; checked in with us through out the meal. Lunch specials were great, many vegetarian options. Menny tacos were delicious. read more

Good food, margaritas are great! Get the queso for sure. We always have great service.

Yummy food! The appetizer sampler was great. We also had the steak quesadilla and fish tacos. Everything was served hot and delicious.

The first thing to be said here is that this restaurant appears to be extremely popular with the local community. Therefore, since seating is relatively limited, you might experience a wait at peak hours. The menus, both lunch and dinner, are vast, and include vegetarian options and even burgers and chicken strips alongside traditional Tex-Mex fare. One really attractive feature is that you can order the usual combinations in small and medium sized plates as well as full platters. We went small, with an enchilada and taco plate, and a chile relleno and taco plate. Everything was top-notch, but especially the chile relleno. The chili was exploding with flavor; I can't remember ever eating one that was this good. And did I mention that the margarita was also very good ... smooth, but not too sweet? For $31.03 plus tip, this was a great meal. Mi Ranchito is the proverbial hidden gem. read more

Great food, service and cold beer!! All very reasonable priced. Definitely will be back again

Great food. Great service! Long-time employees are the best and they have so many. Consistency. read more

Ive ate at multiple Mi Ranchito locations and this one is easily the best. Food is good here but they are relatively short staffed.

Everything was just average at best. The Chile relleno and burro were below average while the Tostada was OK - Taco had no taste at all. Beans and rice were good and $4.00 Margs were also good. read more

I had the best chili Relleno here and actually every thing we got was fantastic. Our waiter was great, wish I could remember his name but I can't. He was funny and polite. We loved everything from the chips and super fresh house made salsa. If u go there get the chili Relleno with cheese dip on it. Yum Yum. If I lived near here I'd be eating there a couple times a week at least. read more

Fun staff, authentic foods from family recipes. I usually have to take half my food home because the portions are so large. A favorite place to bring a friend or guests. read more

While going through Alliance we had a hankering for Mexican food. All of us ordered the enchilada dinners. I had a chicken, a shredded beef, & a cheese. I requested green sauce on half & red on the other half, & I asked for the enchiladas to be in corn tortillas. While waiting chips & salsa arrived. The chips were a little stale but the salsa was very flavorful with a tiny bit of spice. The enchiladas arrived & were excellent. The chicken was all white meat & the 2 sauces were both packed with flavor. The red was very mild & average. The green had a bit more heat to it & was popping with the flavors I was yearning for. The shredded beef was exceptionally good quality meat with no fat & waste. The cheese enchilada was merely average. Overall though it was a very satisfying dinner experience. read more

Not gluten free. Food good but they put wheat in everything. I get sick with their food. It's tasty but contains gluten in food

Came here because of the reviews. They do not lie! Great food and friendly service stand out. Lunch special was a burrito beans and rice for 6.99. Smothered in green chili really hit the spot. Salsa is great but chips were definitely on the stale side. Great waitress complimented my lunch experience. Staff knew almost everyone that came in and left. Chatted with them like family. Will be back! read more

Had to move my husband to Alliance due to railroad shutdowns, we got lost but came upon this restaurant, am grateful. The food was delicious and service was outstanding, we will definitely go back as he has three years in that town until retirement! read more

We stopped in at this quaint Mexican restaurant on our way from Mt Rushmore back to Denver. Service was quick and accurate. We were seated immediately and offered complimentary chips and salsa while we waited on our food. I had the Tacos al Carbon and SO had the street tacos. Both were very good. I would definitely recommend stopping here on your way through Alliance. read more

Mi Ranchito Restaurant - Mexican Near Me - Alliance, Nebraska

Fast, friendly service and really good food. BUT, it was the worst margarita I've ever had. Someone needs to give them a new recipe with better ingredients- the lime mixer tastes of chemicals. read more

I am surprised that no reviews have been posted yet for this place. The dinner options in Alliance NE are fairly limited but the Mexican food at Mi Ranchito is excellent! Recommended! read more

I was leery, cause I'm from Texas and my rule has been--if it ain't a border state, you're taking chances. But my friend had a real hankering for Mexican so I figured, well, the nachos should at least be ok. This place had a LOT of choices; my friend decided to try the sampler (cheese enchilada, tamale, beef enchilada, I think) and I decided to try one of their specialties, the Navajo Taco. Mine was tasty (could ease up just a tad on the refried beans, though) and the salsa verde was the real deal. My friend cleaned his plate, so I'm taking that as a good sign, too. Service was prompt and very friendly. Give this place a try! read more

We are vacationing and the hotel recommended mi Ranchito . The salsa was too hot for me but the fajitas are very plentiful and tasty.

My cousins brought me to this restaurant last night. This place was wicked cool. The food was wicked yummy and Patrick was super friendly and helpful. Wishing I lived closer so I could g back again. Next time I am in Alliance visiting family I will be going back read more

Ok, for the record I'm a tough customer when it comes to Mexican food. I was truly pleased with the food. Actually pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed my "Navajo Chicken " tender, good portions and lots of flavor. My father-in-law had two enchiladas and burrito that he loved. My wife had (spelling is most likely wrong) toquitos and she loved them. Also the salsa was well flavored with a great bit. Almost too hot for this gringo. My only complaint was that in my opinion the rice was too sweet. read more

We stopped here on our way back to Texas. We have pretty high expectations for Mexican food and this place did not disappoint! The staff was extremely friendly and we were served quickly. If we weren't 1000 miles from home we would definitely be regulars! read more

Stopped in here today for lunch on our way to Carhenge. As soon as we walked in the door we were politely greeted and taken to our table. In a minute or two our server appeared and he was very personable and seemed interested to find out a little about us. Really nice guy! The chips and salsa were good although I would have liked to see some more cilantro in it. I won't take away any stars for that! The food arrived shortly and it was as good Tex Mex as you'll find anywhere. All fresh ingredients properly prepared and presented. We had a very good dining experience here and would recommend this place to our fellow Yelpers. One funny note. While we were eating I overheard an elderly lady ask at the front counter if they had tacos?! She left with a whole bag full! And I'll guarantee she wasn't disappointed when she ate them. read more

Very good Mexican food! Are here 3 times in 2 weeks. Pleasant staff. Good drinks! Can tell this where the locals go.

Stopping through on the way to Rapid City and needed some food that didn't include a drive thru! The food came out quick which was essential after 400 miles with 3 kids. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our meals - very authentic! read more

Great food and even better service. Salsa that they bring out has a zing to it! Menu is humongous! Prices are very fair.

Passing through. Stopped by for a late lunch. Staff was super friendly. They recommended shredded beef burrito with green chili. If you like heat, I highly recommend. We live in Texas and we know our Mexican food. This place was great. read more
