Tiffany very kindly accepted my last minute request for a same day appointment for a cut/styling…read more She was also incredibly patient with me when I decided a little ways into our appointment that I wanted a BIG change in my hair. I trusted Tiffany with this drastic change in my hair, going from length that was just past my shoulders, to a jaw length bob with bangs! I had an event later that evening as well, and she rocked out such a cute beachy wave on my new cut - thank you SOOOO much Tiffany! Looking forward to our next appointment And thank you for taking the health of your clients (and self) seriously during this time! I appreciated seeing the measures you executed throughout our appointment to keep the salon sanitized. The salon, also, was so luxurious! And I was able to score free parking in the upstairs garage - so convenient!

The whole experience was a mess from the moment I stepped in the door this past weekend…read more I'd heard of Emiliani from a friend who lived in the area, and honestly, I wasn't expecting anything special--just needed a quick wash and blowout before dinner with my boyfriend. Simple enough, right? But from the get-go, I could feel the tension in the air. It was busier than I thought, and when I sat in Pierce's chair, I could already tell he was a little... off. Maybe he was stressed, maybe he had too much on his plate, but he definitely wasn't making me feel at ease. Which is no excuse for how this experience went. First, he started washing my hair, but honestly, it felt like he was rushing through it. I could tell it wasn't really getting the attention it needed. It didn't even feel like a proper wash, just a quick scrub and rinse. I don't know if it was a bad day for him or what, but when he finished, I just didn't feel clean. My hair still felt greasy, and I wasn't about to sit through a blowout with my hair feeling like that. So, I asked him to re-wash it. I figured, no big deal, right? Happens all the time. But instead of just taking it in stride, Pierce got defensive. He didn't take kindly to me pointing out the issue. He didn't even apologize. Just kind of huffed and said, "Fine," like it was a huge inconvenience. I didn't want to make a scene, but I was starting to feel uncomfortable. Like I was the problem. Then, as he finished rinsing my hair, another woman walked in, and I saw his mood shift again. He turned to me and said he was going to put me under the dryer to start on someone else. I was stunned. I asked, no, I want to get my hair blow-dried now, and that's when it really escalated. He just snapped at me, talking down to me like I was being unreasonable and like I was a child. It felt like he was mad that I wasn't just going along with whatever he was trying to do. I didn't want to sit there under the dryer, my hair still wet, knowing I wouldn't get the style I was hoping for, so I said, "No, I'm leaving." I started to take the cape off, feeling so frustrated and honestly embarrassed by how this was all going down. I didn't want to make a scene, but I was really starting to get upset. That's when Madrianne stepped in. She must've seen how irritated I was, and she stopped me as I was heading out the door. She was kind enough to say she'd finish my hair. I was so relieved, and honestly, so grateful that at least one person there wasn't making me feel like I was asking for too much. As I stood there, waiting for her to fix the mess, I could hear Pierce and his attitude in the background. His frustration was palpable, and it only made everything feel worse. At one point, I heard him talking to Madrianne, justifying why he had done what he did. The whole time, I couldn't stop thinking--Is this what the salon's like? Is he always like this? When I was finally done, I just wanted to get out of there. My boyfriend, who had been quietly waiting, was livid. He asked if Pierce was the owner or manager, and you could tell he was furious. As we were told he was the manager. He was ready to leave and never come back. And honestly, I was too. We left the salon, and I couldn't shake the feeling that the whole experience had been unprofessional. The way Pierce treated me was honestly just rude. I didn't feel respected, and I sure didn't feel like I was being taken care of. I kept thinking, If this is how they run things here, I won't be coming back. I felt bad for Madrianne--she was the only one who seemed to care about getting my hair done right. She was kind to me, and I appreciated that. I wish I was with her from the start, I feel like the entire experience would have been different. But everything else about that day? It was just bad energy. I left the salon feeling more stressed than when I walked in, and I'm still not sure I'll give them another chance.

Didn't want to resort to leaving a review especially after the one woman telling me business has…read morebeen slow and to please keep coming back BUT- after going here 4-5x and finally finding a reasonably priced pedi with gel + French ($65) i sadly will not be going back . During my pedicure today I'm pretty sure they used a used foot scrubber. Did not give a foot massage. The lady was digging her hand into a jar full of scrub with out changing gloves etc that sits on her cart. All very unsanitary. My 9 year olds nails ended up being $40 which is already crazy enough. But they didn't even clean the dirt from under her nails. Im a extremely faithful client to a business who does good business and work but i unfortunately will no longer be coming back. And as a business owner too- if my complaints are not considered part of the service, don't list it or when trying to retain returning customers going a little extra mile such as cleaning dirt under nails on a child's $40 paint doesn't hurt. Good luck only leaving 2 stars because they do a good french

I would not recommend this place! I am from out of town and had never been to EWC, but I'm 100%…read moresure i will not be going back. I went in for a eyebrow, lip, and Brazilian. I walked in the front desk lady looked miserable. I then went into the services and explained to the waxer that I am prone to I grown hairs and other places often use a soft wax. Her reply was "okay, all of our wax is gynecologist certified". I reiterated and asked if they had a soft wax and she replied with "you can get undressed from the waist down. I knew I should have left then. She proceeds to do nearly my whole upper lip in one go. It hurt worse then any other place I've done to. Most likely because she did the lip in one rip with hard wax. I've been getting waxed for 14 years and have never had my lip waxed like that or that aggressive. Then we moved to the brows. The waxer did not ask how i wanted them done, if i wanted them cleaned up, or trimmed. She just went straight to trimming. I looked in the mirror after the brow and upper lip to notice my eyebrows are completely uneven and she took off so much hair between my eyebrows. My left eyebrow is a quarter shorter then my right. I was in pure shock and knew there was nothing I could do to fix it. Then we go to my Brazilian. I'm thinking "okay, this may be better then the brows and lip". Wrong!! The whole time she complained about my skin and how it's not working with the wax. I could tell she was struggling but she sure made it seem like it was all my fault. Great customer service. She also did the butt strip and one rip. She told me that was the end of my service and I replied with " you completed the back in one rip?". She said "yup" . When I finally made it home, I showered and confirmed that she missed so much hair and there was a ton of hard wax left in all areas of my Brazilian. DO NOT GO TO THE DT TAMPS LOCATION!!!

I recently moved here from NYC and was nervous about finding a good esthetician since I had been…read moregoing to the same lady at a EWC location in NY for years and she's been amazing! I really hate to leave this review but it has to be said. My waxer Ellie was extremely inappropriate, hostile and rude my first appointment. She was ok until I told her that I just moved from NY- then her attitude switched and she started to make comments that made me extremely uncomfortable including: The technique they use in NY sucks and they can never get all the hair out of the butt in a Brazilian. (Lies because my NY esthetician is amazing and never leaves 1 hair behind.) She's sick of people moving to Tampa from other places. She referred to people who move to FL as "criminals" and said we are committing crimes and making the area unsafe, and then people blame Floridians. People who move to FL are overpopulating the city and creating terrible traffic. NYC is disgusting and stinks, she doesn't know how anyone can live there. Comments about Spanish speaking people being rude. Then said I NEEDED products to correct my brown "hyper-pigmented" skin. Excuse me Ellie, I'm a black woman, my skin and vagina are brown. Please understand what hyperpigmentation is before telling someone they have it just to upsell products. Brown skin/vaginas does not automatically mean hyperpigmentation. Even if you truly feel this way, be professional enough to keep your mouth shut and not say these things to a first time customer at this location. This is never a way to treat a paying and tipping customer!! They say New Yorkers are rude but I have never experienced anything like this at a NY EWC. Against my better judgement I came back to her because I was desperate and really couldn't find anyone else. Plus I have a wax pass that I needed to use up. This time, she was nicer, but like the first time, the wax was not good. She waxed the same areas multiple times to try and remove the hair, yet hair was still left behind. After talking badly about the NY technique for the butt strip, she still left quite a bit of hair in my butt. Ironic. I left feeling like I shaved rather than waxed because I felt small, stubbly hairs in some areas rather than feeling smooth. Respectfully, I do not think Ellie is very experienced with working with brown skin tones. She really thought she did an excellent job yet couldn't tell she left hair behind. My skin was also super red and irritated because of all the waxing she did over the same areas, and when I got home there was spots of blood in my panties, meaning she ripped my skin. I've never experienced this. Lastly parking sucks in the area. Save yourself the headache. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this location. I'm trying to find a good esthetician at a EWC in Tampa to finish off my wax pass and then I most likely will not renew and find a whole new place to wax. So disappointing after being a EWC customer for years and having wonderful experiences.
