I had been going here for a year and had the monthly membership. The quality of the wax was not the…read morebest but it got the job done, often I would go home and have to pluck hairs myself. The big upset I had was cancelling my membership. I moved to a different state so I called to cancel my appointment with plenty of time but was still charged a no show fee. I contacted the company multiple times through email, phone(voicemails no one answers), Facebook, and the online website. Two or three weeks went by and by then I was upset because I was charged for another month of membership. After I left two upset voicemails, I finally got a call back from a very sweet girl who tried to help. Yet the email I was given by her once again never got a response, finally I got an email from the membership email in which I sent all the "evidence" they requested to refund me. They didn't respond until I sent another two follow up emails. My membership is finally cancelled and only my no show fee was refund almost a month later. Do not recommend. Spend the extra few bucks to go somewhere else.

I was introduced to Glomour Medispa thanks to a yelpie event (because I can always count on Yelp to introduce me to some of the best experiences) and I was so impressed with the service and results of the most basic facial, that I decided to come back. Angela is great to work with, easy going, and listened to me about what my needs and goals were for my facial. (A big plus is that she's a fellow RN, so I know she REALLY understands the specific in the self-care department for people like me, lol). She helps but me at ease and explains every step of what we're doing throughout the process. Facials are a nice blend of relaxation, aromatherapy, and some "me-time" meditation when I'm letting the masks settle into my skin. I've getting facials semi-regularly since then. Nice little treat and you really see the benefits the next day. Sure, it's a luxury, but I've only got one face, so I may as well take care of it.

The woman next to me was getting a very fancy design on her nails, so they definitely have at least one technician who can do nail art. I do wish they used sterilized equipment; the woman I had just pulled her tools from her desk drawer and didn't even spray the equipment with alcohol. All in all I'm happy with how my nails came out, and I think $18 was reasonable for a basic manicure.

She was able to get most of the hair from the front but left a couple of patches in my inner thighs. I also didn't like the fact that she questioned me being a student and did not seem like she wanted to apply the first time customer promo. Overall I'd give them a 5/10, may update review since I wasn't able to try the sugaring that day and was told my next waxing would be discounted.

I'd asked in a Tampa Facebook group for suggestions, and Thank the Lord for the person who recommended The Spa by Folashadé! Trust me when I say that I am super picky a/b the quality of work, customer service, overall cleanliness, and the maintenance of the health of my nails. From day one, she has impressed me and has never disappointed. She listens to her clients and will pivot and make adjustments as necessary. She cleans and sanitizes thoroughly between clients, and I've never seen one spec of dust or any type of build up anywhere! Additionally, she doesn't usually do nail designs on natural nails, but I asked her to, and she used her creative skills to come up with something cute, even though it was out of her comfort zone. I can't stress enough how much those little things mean in a service oriented field. I've posted several pics, but they don't do justice at all b/c of lighting.
