Good location. Nice scenery. Lots of space in side. Also has wifi. Food was nice though portions are on the small side for what you pay. Some staff are slightly socially awkward. What I wanted was no longer available and then thy got part of my order wrong.

Had lunch in the Red Berry the other day and I think it has taken me this long to review it because it was missing that wow factor! Don't get me wrong there were some very good aspects to the meal and the place itself and the prices are excellent for each dish. The service was good and although the place was very busy we were served within a reasonable time scale.it is a good place to go if you are just looking for that quick healthy lunch time meal, but I felt that it was lacking that relaxed atmosphere.

Everything you need from a coffee place. Tasty fresh food, authentic cup of coffee, and a relaxed wifi supported environment. Had the Flat White and Goat Cheese Salad and the food was exquisite for a cafe. Only thing is I would love to see is more coffee options but what they do have is enough to keep me coming back. Definitely worth writing home about.

Had a great quick bite at the Red Cherry, Bangor, Northern Ireland. I was told by a local that this was a great place for breakfast/lunch meal. And he was right. Great location in the city center. Fantastic atmosphere cafe style but more welcoming. Staff was super nice and pleasant. Had three rounds of toast and they were the best I had this trip. (Sounds stupid but you really can screw up toast.) There are seating areas in the lower level and a larger upper level. I stayed in the lower level and it was great. When your meal is ready they bring it to your table. I loved it.

I've never actually been in this shop so its more of a coffee review Than a shop review, I sent my husband in to get us two coffees to takeaway , the cups were really nicely decorated with images of local scenery which was nice to look at, the coffee tasted nice , with a nice roast flavour, I will be back for more coffee and hopefully a bite to eat soon.

The Red Berry Coffee company is situated overlooking the Marina in Bangor and really has great views. It is therefore always busy, which is a good thing. The staff in here are really fab and always so friendly and helpful and full of chat. I love coming in here in the summer to enjoy some delicious Mullen's ice cream of to come in on a cold day and drink tea and eat cake! I'm sure they do healthy food too though! The restaurant is really trendy and modern but not too over the top which is nice! Its really a must when visiting Bangor to pop in here, even just for the homemade cakes!! Yummy!

Not too bad a place this.

I'm finding it hard to review this place but here goes. The staff are nice and pleasant and the food is mostly above average at 'in and around' average prices. Inside the decor strikes a nice balance between modern, comfy and cosy. On paper the only negative point would be that service could be a little bit faster. So why only 3 stars and not 4/5? It's hard to say but although for me it ticks all the right boxes in theory, there's something that just doesn't quite gel for me about the place and detracts from the overall experience. As (good) coffee for me is the single most important part of a lunch, brunch or snack in a place like this it again comes up trumps as the Americanos and cappuccinos are pretty good, not the best ever but certainly good. Problem is even with all these points I've mentioned I still cant give it more. Wish I could put my finger on it properly for you. Anyway, for me, 3 stars, but as it does as I say 'tick all the right boxes' perhaps you wont be as sensitive to the ancient Indian burial ground its built on and you wont get the feeling that something's ever so slightly amiss! It could be I'm just odd!!!

We stopped in Red Berry for a coffee with my boyfriend the other day, and as they have a very good selection of burgers, we treated ourselfs with an afternoon meal too.. Wasn't expecting much from a coffee shop, but surprisingly the burgers and frys were absolutely delicious. They only serve food until 4.45pm (no later orders) , only cakes and coffees for the later arrivals. Would recommend to anyone, beautiful views -especially from upstairs- great coffee, lovely food and very professional, friendly staff. We loved it!!

Lovely little cafe. The caramel crispy was delicious and the staff were friendly. Very nice spot for a tea or coffee.

Rather than being greasy the breakfast called the 'Healthy Grill' consisted of toasted wheaten bread, a poached egg, a grilled slice of bacon and even a cherry tomato as garnish and it wasn't swimming in grease! I washed my breakfast down was an excellent flat white, despite the option of a flat white not being on the menu when I asked if they did it the proprietor said, 'I can do anything you want!' This is what I call adding value to an experience. The service overall was excellent. Myself and 3 friends entered The Funky Penguin at 11am and were dragging our satisfied stomachs out the door by 11:40am. The décor is quirky with penguins dotted around the interior alluding to the name and mugs with on trend moustaches. Tucked away just off Bangor's Main Street with plenty of parking close by why not make The Funky Penguin your next breakfast pit stop?

On a busy Saturday mid-morning several weeks ago myself and two friends availed ourselves of three excellently cooked fries before attending a football match not we're not in the slightest bit greasy and set us up perfectly for the day... Sausage, bacon x2, egg and x2 of potato and soda bread and tomato for £5.95 including cup of coffee or pot of tea was a great price and when the very friendly staff member saw 3 tomatoes still on the plate he suggested next time to ask for it to be substituted and there would be no problem and he also said they will soon be adding hash browns with bits on bacon in them so I shall definitely be there again soon...!! They offer all other usual breakfast options you would expect, is close to several shops if you want to gets some bits and bobs and there is a bank machine literally attached to the café which is handy...! As a resident of Ballyholme and dog-walker I also like how they usually have two dog bowls of water out the front of the shop as the area is heaving with fellow walkers due to its proximity to the beach... Nice touches like that make all the difference

Yep, we now have a functioning Drive Thru Coffee Shop and it is truly amazing!…read moreI've been questioning why we didn't have any of these but it seems the guys at Coffee Cure were thinking the same thing. They've cleverly combined two shipping containers to create a suave, sophisticated, efficient coffee quick stop and I'm delighted! It's really simple, if you are coming from the Bangor direction, you take the first right after the car wash and the arrows painted on the tarmac will guide you to the window of goodness, likewise if you are coming from the Belfast direction you take the left after you see the containers, you will then loop round to the window, all pretty straight forward but worth noting as I hesitated on my drive in. They serve all the usual high quality coffee you come to expect from this brand but the great news is you can also pick up snacks suck as bacon butties, sausage butties and pastries. This should make all the Bangor folks morning commute so much better. Traffic on the A2 never tasted so good! The staff that work at the sliding hatch are really quick, they obviously get that this is supposed to be great coffee at super speed - an absolutely amazing idea and really well created!

Its ideal if your after a coffee and don't want the hassle of parking somewhere and waiting in a que in a shop. I think the entrance and exit are the wrong way round though and the entrance would make more sense being from the Belfast direction as its on the left from Belfast and would flow better for traffic, easy sorted. Id love to see one open up in Belfast, I really like anything that unusual or different and its great to see shipping containers given a new purpose.
