I actually think their children section is much larger compared to other stores, which I think is perfect for families. Personally I prefer fantasy/fiction books and that specific selection was much smaller compared to other stores, however they had some of the most popular titles. Besides books, they have a nice selection of stationary items, puzzles and other games. They definitely had some very unique finds I hadn't seen anywhere else. Last but not least, they do have a rewards program and for every $100 you spend you get credit to your next purchase which I thought was pretty nice and a good incentive to support local businesses. If you live in the area I would highly recommend joining their program.

It has an umbrella with clouds on it, along with crowns and swords. It just makes you want to hang out in this room all day. And this room is filled with stories waiting to be told. I love that they partner with local businesses and display local goods in the store. There's usually parking in the front and side of A House with Books. I perused their stickers and picked up a couple of them. They also have plants for sale near where seating for Casi Cielo is. I ordered the apple cider donut and the London fog (Jane Austen inspired). The cider was crunchy and sweet which paired well with the London fog. There's a beautiful story behind Casi Cielo and I enjoyed meeting the co-owner Marisa. I look forward to my next visit to A house with books.

They have been independently and family-owned for over 40 years, and they are a must-stop for all book and music lovers out there. This store is HUGE with over half-a-million books, movies, music and memorabilia. However, I think what makes them extra special is the curated selection of Horror and Thriller books, including some very unique collectibles. I am more into contemporary, so keep in mind those books are located on the top floor of their second building. Their children's book section was also incredible but frankly I didn't have the patience to go through them. This store can be a little overwhelming so definitely take a breath and ask for help if you can't find the genre you are looking for.
